I did not see that scene coming. I was stunned and thrilled at the same time.

Normally, in anime, female characters are portrayed as timid and flustered during spicy moments – and honestly, it frustrates me. Women can be confident, assertive, and bold too. That’s why this scene hit different. Maomao, in her usual analytical style, just reaches out and touches "the frog"– not even realizing what she’s doing. And then Jinshi? Calm, seductive, and completely unfazed, he just goes all in. No panic. No cliché reactions. Just raw, controlled tension.

It was refreshing to see a scene like this where the power dynamic is balanced, not dominated by outdated gender tropes. Even though Maomao had no idea what she had in her hand , she wasn’t portrayed as weak – just realistically confused.
