A Good Personal Statement
Include reasons why you want to study your chosen course.
add examples of what you have done that is relevant to your interest.
what do you think you could bring to the course? Past experience/ interests/ hobbies that are relevant.
Explain how you're right for the course.
Keep it positive.
Be honest.
Get some help but never copy someone else's work.
Get your ideas down in a mind-map first.
Include key skills. How do your skills match up the job description? What sets you apart from other applicants?
Your personal statement should end with your objective. It’s a chance to wrap up your statement with an explanation of why you want the role and why you’re best suited to it.

Norwich University of the Arts
Location: Norwich

GCE A/AS levels (for BA (Hons) Architecture)
3 A-level qualifications at grades BBB, at least one of which must be in an art, design or media related subject. Candidates should also have achieved at least four GCSE passes which should include Grade C or above in English, Maths and a Science subject. Where candidates are not taking 3 A-levels, NUA will consider combinations of A-level/AS-level and other Level 3 qualifications.
Structure  Microsoft Word - Course Specification - Photography final Sep 2016 This unit will introduce you to the fundamental elements of your course and help you to become accustomed to undergraduate study at the University. Becoming an independent learner is an essential aspect of undergraduate study and this unit is designed to help you make the transition successfully by developing skills in planning, researching and reflection. Within the unit you will be given opportunities to acquire essential practical skills relevant to your subject using an appropriate range of materials and processes. You will develop ways for generating ideas for your creative practice and consider how to progress them towards resolution. Along with your creative development you will be introduced to historical, cultural and ethical concepts that have influenced (and are influenced by) creative practice. You will be introduced to methods for gathering information and supported to find relevant interpretations of your research. You will also be given the opportunity to develop skills of communication through writing, image and spoken word.
I like this university as again it would involve moving to an area that I'm unfamiliar with, the course seems wide varied and interesting.

Entry requirments
UCAS is attaching fewer points to qualifications – for example, an A* grade at A level will be worth 56 new tariff points from 2017 onwards, instead of 140 in 2016.
So you will still need to achieve the same grades at A level, BTEC or other Level Three qualifications to get into university, but the way they are counted has changed.
All qualifications that are currently on the UCAS Tariff will continue to attract points under the new system, so a tariff score could be made up of A levels, BTECs, or a combination of Level Three qualifications.
A standard offer from AUB is BBB at A Level, excluding general studies. Under the new UCAS tariff, this equates to 120 new tariff points.
COURSE FACTS
3 year honours degree.
Accredited by Creative Skillset.
6 weeks work experience permitted per year.
Trips to Paris, New York and London.
Professional studios and equipment for location
Colour and Black and White darkrooms.
Automatic negative processing
Digital suite with Flextight X5 film scanners
Chromira Digital RA4 printer with free paper allowance.
Six technician demonstrators based in the department.
Instantly attracted to the site as not only will this give my great photography skills but the change of working and living in a different environment will give a new dimension to my independent learning and style.
