it’s with a heavy heart that i inform you all of my parting w/ maria here, and the entire marvel fandom as a whole. these last two or so years just haven’t been the greatest, and the fandom is continually becoming more and more pretentious, hardly any blog based off of skill and all on appearance. that’s not to say that a lot of marvel blogs aren’t GREAT, because i’ve met quite a few great blogs, but i’ve found my home elsewhere on tumblr in the AHS fandom with my new blog @immortalbloodvirus. there’s far more freedom there, and no one is getting hate for roleplaying dark themes (then again, it’s AHS so you best not have many triggers if you want to have fun), or anything else they enjoy. so this is my goodbye! i love you all and thank you so so much for all of the fun we’ve had here! ♥

     she shook her head with a soft chuckle, going on to clear up what she meant. “ i did de-age, but that was after SHIELD did whatever they did to me. i do not age anymore, as far as we can tell at least. “ pausing, maria nodded. “ a student of sorts, sì. charles will be helping me find out more about what is inside of me, but i will not be going to classes. “ another light chuckle left her now, the small italian woman simply happy to have a place to stay. she’d already contacted and met with her son, and he was aware of her current location; she owed him that much and more.

             Eyes widened slightly when the other spoke. “You’ve de-aged?” She looked at the other, mouth slightly open and head tilted slightly as she studied the other closer. What had happened to Maria? “You still de-age?” She asked after a small pause. Immediately she wanted to take back her question - it felt stupid. “Really? You’re staying? You’re going to be a student then?” She could not help the smile on her lips. Maria seemed nice and even though she was not a mutant she seemed to be a fit in the Mansion.

     it was a relief when the strawberry blonde smiled, even adding a few words of her own on the subject. at the mention of italy, though, maria perked back up even more. “ oh! “ her exclamation was a bit loud, the woman covering her mouth for half a second before going on at a reasonable volume. “ if you go to italy, you must visit where i grew up. was not venice, but milan. right outside of it, actually. molto nice, even though it is away from the big city. “ she’d grown up on a vineyard, helping her mother and father with their small and local business.

the endearment surprises pepper once she quickly translates the words, but she’s not at all offended. her italian is beginner at best —- french has always been her forte —- but she recognises the sentiment easily enough. she grins at the older woman. ‘ oh, it’s fine. although i should pick up my italian lessons again; tony and i are planning on visiting venice soon, ‘ she shares, reaching for her wine glass again. ‘ i’ve only ever been before on business, so i never got to see much of the city. ‘

     “ good. now, miss shepard, it has been far too long since we last spoke. i want to know      what is going on in your life. “

     “ i am, no worries. ”

     maria couldn’t help but blush at the look on ana’s face, even at the way the young woman brushed her fingertips over the photos. “ howard wanted it to be the wedding of the century. there were so many people there... i did not want that, but he was always a flashy man, so i could not blame him for wanting such things. “ a soft chuckle escaped her. “ besides the day your father was born, it was the greatest day of my life. “

 ana couldn’t help at some of the photos, especially the expressions on her grandfather’s face. she marveled at the wedding dress maria wore, “that’s beautiful. it must have cost a small fortune.” the blonde commented, running her fingers over the pictures.

     “ it is fine, pepper. you were only curious, and from what i have heard of my son since i have been ‘gone,’ he was an almost overly wild and promiscuous man. “ she chuckled, though still wasn’t proud of the fact. “ i am pleased that you think so... i tried my best with him. “

        “I’m sorry! I just had to ask! Just a little affirmation I suppose.” Pepper had to laugh nervously, running a hand through her dark red locks. “You raised a good man, though. I mean it, I really do.”

     maria blushed, but knew that such topics of discussion were normal nowadays. she needed to loosen up. “ sì... he was molto exhausting. in my younger years, he was almost too interested in... that. “
