Hot take but even if Richie “forgot” Eddie after leaving Derry the second time- I don’t think he’d ever actually move on.

On the slim chance that he tried to, I think he’d be looking for Eddie everywhere (just as he always has) and be faced with the gut wrenching feeling that something is terrible wrong.

I don’t think there’s a universe where Richie would move on from Eddie even if he couldn’t picture his face any longer and was constantly chasing laughter in the wind.

None of it would be right, no one else is him.

You don’t just lose your other half and come out unscathed.
