Tears fall strong and free when you mourn for the life when you felt once strong and free. Eyes grow dry and puffy. Your head throbs from the force of your sobs. Your breath is shallow, lungs only able to expand about halfway before the next shudder of grief seizes your body and you are forced to expel what little oxygen you managed to claim. And just when you think you can't possibly cry any more, when you're laying there numb, face swollen and nose stuffy, you see or hear something that draws those fat tears back to the surface with such ease, it might be impressive if you didn't feel so hopeless. If your body wasn't so weak with despair. If your heart could stop shattering in your chest long enough for you to notice.
But you should notice it, because you are impressive. And you are strong. You know right from wrong, good from bad. You are kind, forgiving and deep down, you are hopeful. Because you have to be. Because you cannot let them fucking destroy who you are.
There is no giving up. There is no surrender. We can grieve, and by all means, grieve as much as you need. But when you are done, take a deep breath. One that fills your lungs and clears your mind. Put the pieces of yourself back together. Pay attention, stay informed, and show them just how impressive you really are.
And most of all -
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Take something for yourself and pass on to the next person. I'm tired and we deserve a rest.

I had exactly this experience tonight, I was feeling sad and someone who loves me called at the perfect time.
just a nice reminder, always check in on your friends who say they're fine. you know the ones, the nice ones who are too sweet to tell you they're falling apart or too polite to tell you their world is imploding and they don't know how to stop it. it's easy to forget when life gets busy in a good way, the friends you go to when a crisis hits. the stable ones, the ones you trust to glue you back together. so, here's a reminder to just send them a heart or a how are you.

We all don’t want to get out of bed sometimes. We all feel lost or loney sometimes. We all doubt if we're doing enough sometimes. We all feel like we should be further along sometimes. We all have days where just getting dressed is the big win. We all lose motivation to cook sometimes. We all lose motivation to exercise sometimes. We all have fears about the future. We all don’t feel like doing anything sometimes. We all have moments of procrastination. We all face financial challenges now and then. We're all painfully human, learning as we go. We’re all just trying to be okay.

The purest form of love is consideration. When someone thinks about how things would make you feel. Pays attention to detail. Holds you in regard when making decisions that could affect you. In any bond, how much they care about you can be found in how much they consider you

i hope you all like yourselves, genuinely and unapologetically. be loud or quiet about it, it doesn't matter, just do it. what a gift it is to be content in oneself. so much of life we spend trying to get there and i hope everyone of you finds it

“In life you will realize there is a role for everyone you meet. Some will test you. Some will use you. Some love you. Some will teach you. But the ones who are truly important are the ones who bring out the best in you.”

Stop chasing people who are fine with losing you. Stop chasing things that do nothing for your growth. Stop chasing places that don't feel like home. Stop chasing relationships that drain you.
