Either way it's always fascinating to see people miss the point of operation condor because like yeah sure it was about communism but it also wasn't about communism at all. Like some of the governments weren't even socialist. It was also about nations that were organizing and doing good for themselves and posed a threat to the united states' opulent ways of living. It was kinda about cheap tropical fruit all year round and shirts under ten dollars and conveniently affordable meat for barbecues. It is about capitalism but in the sense that they needed operation condor to keep capitalism working.
