Days 10-13: (I got unexpectedly sick, so totally spaced updating on tumblr, lol). Been going well; I've been mixing writing a little each day of Book 3 with finishing the voice edits of Book 2 (where I run everything through a voiceover app to see if there's any weird sounding sentences or missing words I didn't catch before.)

We are on the train to Jan. 1 release for book 2!

Day 6: I forgot to post yesterday 🙃 but wrote a little over 1K words. We’re getting past the “here’s what you missed on Glee” portion of the third book and into actual action

Day 4: Lucky number four!!!! I wasn’t expecting to have time to write much today but I got almost 2K words of a great scene in! Ft. my main boys hot boxing a window-well (options are limited where they’re at currently, lol) and uhhhh a bit of spicy 🌶️ romance.

Bonus: possibly the best line I’ve ever given one of my all time favorite characters:

I love this line so much, I thought I was so clever when I wrote it. Is it okay to love your own writing so much?

I'm reading The Fire In Fiction by Donald Masses at the moment, and it talks about storytellers versus status seekers. Why authors write, and the feeling of reading something you can tell was passionately written. It is the highest achievement.

So yes, I think you can, and should, love your own writing. Because if you don't, who will?

Day 3: Good sesh! I’ve been working with the characters for TSR for so long that I really do feel like the story writes itself at times.

My goal: write everyday! My main project this month is to finish the first draft of “Shadow’s Remnant”, the third book in my sci fi trilogy “Jax Cassaway and the Shadow Runners”, but I also have occasional freelance jobs I’ll have to make time for!

Day 1: made some progress on my latest script for the horror podcast “Mayfair Watcher’s Society”. Also set up the formatting for Shadow’s Remnant on Reedsy (the program I use for all my novels!) so *theoretically* this novel will go faster if I’m writing/editing on that program from the beginning.

Day 2: more script writing, and officially 3K words into Shadow’s Remnant!
