You know, so far, it looks like emotions are the one thing the public can't change in To Be Hero X. They can change your appearance (Lin Ling). They can change your habits (Nice). They can change your powers (Moon). They can give you new mental disorders and handicaps (Firm Man) or force you to stay affected by them (Ghostblade). And I bet they can take them away in the right circumstances.

But they can't change how you feel about those changes. They can't force you to fall in love with someone you don't (Nice and Moon) nor stop you from loving someone you do (Nice and Wreck). They can't make you love your job (Pre-hero Luck Cyan), nor can they magically make you feel better when you're down (Queen). Your emotions are your own, so if you want to change them, it's on you to figure out how to do so.

In fact, it seems like willpower backed by your emotions is the one way to break free from the public's influence outside of fading into obscurity; Lin Ling was the only one we've seen do so. I don't know if that's intended to better parallel the affect of such public status on celebrities or if that's gonna be plot relevant beyond Deus Ex Machina, but there's a bittersweetness to the idea that there's something that's always yours, even when everything else changes.

Then again, if Trust and Fear can be synthesized and weaponized, I wonder if the same can be done to other human emotions, too.

MO SHA'S ARC! MO SHA'S ARC! MO SHA'S ARC!

Last week's episode really rattled the fandom as the reveal of ALIENS drop into the setting. People immediate went into speculation mode of whether Hero X came with that ship — regardless if it's actually alien or from the future.

Personally, I still think Hero X is simply a civilian, just like us. Because that's the appeal of what made a lot of people drawn to him.

Don't get me started of ths Spotlight's leader. It would seem they don't know all the plans the Comission have involving Fear. But they do have their own research lab to make tools that take advantage of Fear like a versatile dopamine.

Ghostblade's arc would be a curious one because the possible connection with the plane crash and Johnny's father/Former X.

One of the things I've always been curious about the conflicts in TBHX is the type of heroes conflict that got so bad; it's nor strange for the Plane Crash be the reason of sabotage between heroes.

Like, I'm so confused about Liu Zhen's motive. He found out the Commission DID cover-up that the plane crash wasn't an acciddent and hid it so Cyan could live a normal life, BUT WHO'S CONNECTION DID YOU USE TO GET IT?! MICKEy?!

Anyway, time for one of the edgiest Hero's time to shine.

The last arc for the Trio Top Ten Girls LET'S GO!!!

Gosh, I love looking up and witnessed how people react to Luo Li. How people underestimate her because exactly for the cutesy yet confident act she put, and then BAM! LH0 hits you with her backstory that hits in so many women's struggle.

The way TBHX really resonates for people is because it's one of those medias that gives voices to people who needs to be heard. It might not change your situation for the better, but certainly being heard gives a strange sort of comfort to know you are not struggling alone or knowing that someone out there might see the episode and realized the struggle you didn't know even exist - as well as the satisfacfion of being heard.

What a treat it has been to have Cyan, Queen, and Luo Li show case what each aspire to be the kind of hero they want.

It's time for Luo Li's arc in TBHX episode 13!!!

Last arc we've been given a sweet, juicy action between Bowa and Queen. Ngl, I'm more of a lore girl than an action girl – so I was a bit dissapointed that I couldn't get more background on Queen outside of her struggle to become the number one hero. But I can appriciate the direction to feed the action-hype people who would definitely love the fight between two hyper-competent women.

Now, Luo Li's background is honestly a complete mystery to me outside of the PV we've shown. We know she was inspired by Queen. Hence, why her arc came after her and the PV only shows she's an outgoing person with a bit of a rebel streak.

So let's see if her story ends in either a happy arc, a bittersweet arc, or a complete tragedy. It's a toss-up with this donghua.
