The puppies have worms 😩 Both have hookworm and Mila also has coccidia overload. They’re on medication and are good now, but poor Maggie was so sick. She went to sleep fine one night and woke up a mess - just out of nowhere. We had to call the emergency vet, do a video consult, perform all the checks, take her in the morning for a diagnostic panel… The whole time, we were expecting the worst. Because that’s how it happened with Marko. He was completely fine until he woke up one night and wasn’t - three days later, he was gone. I’m so grateful the girls ended up having something simple and treatable, but I think I’m always just going to expect the worst now and I hate that. Loving these little beasts is so rewarding but it’s also absolutely fucking terrifying.
