According to the company's press release, "Crosby is a longtime watch collector and one of the earliest fans of our brand, owning several of our watches. He actually gifted one to Malkin, too, in 2019, with a special engraving for his 1,000th point."

Sidney Crosby this way, Sidney Crosby that way. It was as if the shadow of number 87 hovered over the Continental Golf Club. Even a rumor of Crosby's participation in his good friend Marc-André Fleury's tournament had been circulating in recent weeks.
"You spend too much time on the internet," Fleury said when the rumor was brought up.
Rumors have been circulating that Kyle Dubas may be cleaning up his act. Last week, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reported that the Penguins GM was listening to offers for "pretty much all of his players," with the exception of the usual big names. Bryan Rust and Rickard Rakell, Crosby's two linemates last season, were the two names that came up the most.
“I can't answer for him, but it sounds like I'm wishing him away. Pittsburgh has missed the playoffs for three years in a row, and things aren't looking good for next season. I wish him well in his fight for a Stanley Cup. He's such a winner, a good player.” -Marc-André Fleury
Maxime Talbot, another former teammate of Crosby, said it's not "unthinkable" to see the Nova Scotian in another uniform. But he also put on the brakes.
"It's not unthinkable, but I'm not buying into the rumors. It's fun for the fans, for the media, to talk about it. But it will come down to what he wants to do. We'll see, but I wouldn't bet my house that he'll leave," Talbot summarized.
And Fleury and Talbot quickly discussed Crosby's loyalty. Fleury, from his first part of the answer. "Sid is such a loyal person," the young retiree said.
So where does this loyalty come from? "I don't know, it seems like he's always been like that. Towards the team, his teammates, his linemates," Fleury listed. "Even his teammates from Rimouski are still his good friends. He's really a great guy."
For Talbot, that loyalty comes from Crosby's former roommate, who also happened to be former Penguins owner and the greatest player in history, Mario Lemieux. "Part of it, I can give Mario credit. Sid lived with him for seven or eight years. They have a closeness. Mario was loyal to his team, and that has value."
Last February, Crosby nearly blew the roof off the Bell Centre while playing for Team Canada at the Four Nations Showdown. The crowd's warm welcome led many to dream of seeing him in the red, white, and blue.
But if he proves to be as faithful as his mentor was, that's what this image will remain: a dream.
"It could be, you never know. In my opinion, he's the one who'll decide where he wants to go," Fleury said. "It would be fun for Quebecers to see him play every night. He's such a good player, a good leader.
from lapresse. they’re even asking flower and talbo about whether he’s leaving 🙄
