I thoroughly LOVED working with Swarovski on their 2014 Ready Set Get Caught Campaign, with RT&P! Our wardrobe stylist. Eden Daniels certainly outdid herself, pulling outfits for 2 models for an entire year of looks! Swarovski jewelry is not only magnificent to look at, its so versatile and easy to wear. Check out the newest look at www.readysetgetcaught.com!

I am very proud to announce that I am in process of launching Philadelphia's first ever Hairand Make Up Artist Agency, The Simon Group!
Thus far, we represent 6 pro stylists from NYC-VA. Our hard launch is coming this F/W, so stay tuned! This month, we were fortunate to have worked with some amazing clients; Comcast XFinity, Justin Alexander Bridal, The Rothman Institute, and Boscov's to name a few.
I wanted to personally thank my amazing team; my incredible stylists, my assistants, my PR team!
A very special thank you to Pier Nicola D'Amico, one of the most genuinely talented people I've ever met, for inspiring me creatively, and for encouraging me to grow all of these years. The Simon Group wouldn't have ever been a thought without you!
We can't wait to work with you all!!! Our 5 year plan is to service the nation.
From my heART,
Marnee Simon

My Favorite Eyelash Curlers, Sheisedo and Shu Uemura!
There are many ways to lift and open the eye with the use of make-up. One of the best ways to do so, is to use a great eyelash curler. There are two that I use that are very similar in design and pricing that work the best on every eye shape and lash length, that have clearly stood ahead of the others. Sheisedo and Shu Uemura, although a bit more pricy than many, at $19 and $20 are the smartest investment for your cosmetic tools. If used properly, they put a definite curl in the lash's root, and instantly lifts the eye. Also, they last much longer than most others, which ultimately will save you money.
Many people when using a curler make the mistake of curling mid-lash, with only one or two "handle pumps" or squeezes. In order to make the lash really curl, place the curler as close to the eyelash root as possible without pinching the skin. Once your position is secure, keep the curler in place, and squeeze the handle very tightly multiple times. Then proceed to apply your first layer of mascara. Continue with your eye make-up regimen (eye fix/base, eye shadow, brows) while the first layer dries. It's ok if your shadow falls on the lashes a bit. In fact, it's a positive if the shadow will adhere slightly to the lashes, causing the lashes to look thicker!
Make sure that the lashes are completely dry before applying your next coat of  mascara! Then, recurl, again following the same technique. Pull the curler away from the lashes very slowly to make sure that the lashes haven't stuck to the pad or curler. Once the lashes are set in their curled position, you can then apply another coat of mascara, particularly to the root, since it's now more exposed and easier to reach.
Your lashes will look a mile long and your eye will double in size!
Important tip *** Check your curler pad periodically to make sure that the pad isn't cut. It's ok if it's dented, but if it's cut, it's dangerous! The curler will act like a guillotine to your lashes and could slice them right off! Replace the pads often! ($6 replacements)

Want a great (and healthy) idea for your kids Easter basket?
So, the new fashion craze that has taken the American teen and tween beauty scene by storm, has to be the colorful and fun "Eos" Lip Balms. I was first introduced to this product by my daughter (who teaches her mom a thing or two...or ten) She and ALL of her friends use them...and they each own several in their multiple flavors and colors.
Tonight, I was having a conversation with one of my friends about how most American holidays (ok most holidays globally, probably) are centered around food; most of it unhealthy food to boot. We were talking about Easter....peeps. Yes, Peeps, chocolate bunnies, creme filled eggs, etc...and all of the sugar infested choices that we hand select for our kids and their Easter Basket creations. Yumm and Ewww!
Well, this season, here's my idea for you....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Conveniently stocked at your local drugstore or Target, etc (and even ebay) are these great "Eos" Lip Balms...shaped like eggs in bright colors and pastel colors of the holiday. (These are great for girls AND boys!)  Fill the basket with these and maybe even a few of the new OPI Nail Polish colors from the upcoming blockbuster movie, "The Hunger Games" (also on ebay or your local beauty supply).
Who says that everything that is delicious and touches the lips has to be bad for us?
