“Is this for a performance?” Genevieve didn’t look amused but then again, she hardly did. “This wasn’t the final version, was it?” It wasn’t that it wasn’t good, it just depends on what it was for. 

Moving to fetch her water bottle, Marnie stops in her track when she hears the other words. She always feared being a disappointment, something deeply rooted due to her own parents neglect and somehow Genevieve’s words almost seemed like an echo of her own mother’s voice. “It isn’t for a performance,” she states, words spoken in a quiet voice as she doesn’t face the other yet.

“You do remember I don’t have an extensive background in dance, right? So my opinion isn’t really going to help you but it looked good.” Meg smiled, nodding her head slowly. “How long have you been practicing that?”

    “Even if you’re not a professional, your opinion is still valid. Most people can decide for themselves whether or not they enjoy looking at something after all,” she counters, voice soft to ensure that she doesn’t come off too strong. “A few months, took me a while to really figure out what I wanted for this choreography.”

   Music is blasting through the speaker that’s left on Marnie’s bedside table as the two of them are getting ready for yet another party. A pink dress adorning her figure, Marnie spins in front of Mabel, a hopeful smile etching her lips. “What do you think?” Comes out, often valuing Mabel’s opinion despite their different taste in fashion. “Is it too short?”

Molly clapped her hands enthuisiastically. “Amazing!” she cried, flashing Marine a massive grin.

She had always admired people who were good at dancing. She had once taken up dance classes herself when she was younger, but that didn’t last long. Molly was definitely someone who had two left feet. “Seeing you dance like that makes me really hate the fact that I just have no rhythm at all.” Her arms flopped by her side.

    “You really think so?” Comes out, her smile growing at the other’s reaction. Marnie had been practicing on it for hours and hours, constantly trying to perfect her every move. “You don’t?” Her head tilts, brows furrowed softly. “Surely with enough practice one could develop a sense of rhythm, right?”

Almost instantly she was jumping to her feet, clapping for the other with a large grin on her face. “That’s beautiful! It was beautiful! Honestly. I wish I could move that way, but I’m sure I would end up dancing with the floor more.” 

    Hearing the other’s applause rang like music to her ears, smile growing at the praise. “Ah, thank you! I worked so hard on this routine, it took forever to get it right.” She states, moving to grab her water bottle and drink some. “I’m sure you’ll manage, why not give it a try?”

“Is it just me or is it already feeling like summer? I swear I ended up with a sunburn after the festival. It was a great time but my shoulders have been super sore so I’m definitely looking forward to getting some time spent in the pool.” Alon said excitedly as he adjusted the towel around his waist. He’d finished classes early and was really looking forward to the free time he had before having to go in to work that night. “My family always called me ice back home. There were a number of reasons for it but part of which was because of how I liked my water.” He teased as he picked his water bottle up and squirted some at the other. 

“The weather really has been amazing!” She grins, glancing over towards the other briefly. The lack of clothes other than the towel had made Marnie unusually shy, her cheeks tinted a soft pink. “Well, you’re welcome to come swim in my pool any time,” the blonde offers off offhandedly, as if it wasn’t a big deal at all. But then she feels those water droplets and she flinches slightly, a laugh emitted from her lips as she shoved his shoulder lightly in return. “You did not!”

    Heavy puffs of air escape her mouth, both hands settled on her waist as she tries to calm down after the heavy dance routine she had done. Marnie had been dancing ever since she was little, contemporary dance being one of her favorites. Today however, she had decided to have an audience, bright smile growing as she faces the other. “So, what did you think?”
