Try and refocus your enegry. Instead of focusing so much on your midsection - sign up for some sort of race, or event and focus on training for that. One of my best friends who has struggled with weight her whole life - this is how she puts in her energy and the weight loss is secondary.

Perception: a rant

I’ve been going through at lot lately, especially struggling with body… I hate myself. Period. I can only focus on my awful midsection. I just feel grotesque.

This was me after I got back from vacation.

I most mornings I can’t bare to look at myself. I look at myself and see large muffin top and fat hips. Looking at myself hurts. I’ve amped up the diet and the cardio just not seeing a difference. So much effort over the last few months and no change. I’m starting to get discouraged and despondent .

I’m trying to be strong, push forward and work harder but I’m growing of this fruitless endeavor.

My simple and crude 2nd draft of a tattoo idea. Both my grandfathers served in the Army, one who turned down a promotion to Corporal at the end of WWII and got demoted for it. My father served in the Air Force, and I'm currently serving in the Marine Corps. Thoughts? I like simple designs. I would have my tattoo artist make them look like real dog tags/chain.
