do we think that theo still can remember tara? i mean he definitely can't take away the image of her that he saw in hell. but i always thought it wasn't real tara, just some kind of twisted version of her. so my question is does he still able to remember what his big sister was like before? does he remember how her voice sounds when she's not crying for help that he's not able to provide? does he remember how her hands felt when they weren't trying to rip heart out of his chest? does he remember her eyes with the light of life and no despair of death or rage from hell? had the image of hell tara, an almost grown-up woman who was trying to kill him, replaced the real image of his sister, who loved him, from his memory? is the image of the hell tara the only thing that comes to his mind when he thinks about his sister? because this thought may actually kill me.

School au is one of my favorite tag in fanfiction I guess. And when I think about it I imagine how Theo or other character could look. I guess like a little bit punky trashy look can rly suit for this man. Teen w ear ring and old nail polish etc u know

theo getting drafted two years before liam. liam getting fair warning on him from scott and stiles who played in the same team as theo when they were all kids and understand that theo's playing style spares nobody. liam and theo getting into a terrible fight their very first game against each other and the pattern continuing into playoffs. liam badly injuring theo as revenge for him concussing scott in an earlier game. theo getting traded to liam's team (which approximately zero people are happy about) for the next season while still on injury reserve after he pissed off his team president. liam discovering that, unfortunately, they have crazy chemistry on-ice. imagine...

(obligatory liam plays the game to feel normal and to vent all of his anger and dr geyer taught him to play, while theo's parents were apathetic and didn't want to invest in his career because of his heart condition. so dread doctor-equivalent sponsors paid for him to play and his medication in exchange for him to become The Best and repay them for their aid. and he hadn't truly played hockey just to play it until liam came along. for narrative purposes)

Being a writer is really just one continuous process of watching an update schedule fall to pieces. The day of the week you decided was going to be Update Day rolls past and you’ve got a half finished chapter refusing to cooperate. Disappointed there’s no update today? Yeah. Me too.

maybe i should sleep but imagine thiam with this. theo tries to sell his truck and liam, jobless extraordinaire, lowballs so hard it ends up in hell. somewhere somehow this devolves into theo ending up as liam's personal chauffeur. blah blah blah gay people blah blah blah

HC Theo's eyes are slightly damaged - even with supernatural healing- because of the bright white lights that comes with lying on an operating table for years.

Wait. Wait a dang minute. I have a theory.

So I know one of the discussions I’ve seen floating around is ‘why Theo’. What made the DDs specifically go after this one 9 year old boy, what made him special. And here’s my little take on it.

What made Theo special? Nothing. We know the DDs target kids in bad situations - see; Tracey, Josh, Corey, etc - kids who can disappear for days at a time without anyone raising any red flags, and from that we can assume Theo and Tara’s parents were maybe not great too. We also know they’ve been playing at making chimeras/trying to make The Beast for quite a number of years.

So who’s to say Theo wasn’t just one of another batch like the S5 chimeras? Ten years earlier, starting with younger kids, maybe, and that being The First Chimera is being the first chimera that survived. Why? That’s the fun part. There’s any number of explanations; because he was stubborn, because he’s a survivor, because there was something slightly different in his genetic makeup that unlocked the next puzzle piece in the DD’s jigsaw Frankenstein, because he refuses to die and it adds just another layer to the nuance of parallels between him and Scott. Normal nothing loser kid becomes Something Else and the support system they have in the aftermath structures their entire life.

And the best part is Theo probably doesn’t even remember, just knows that once he was a Success, the First, but that wasn’t quite enough and the Doctors moved on and he’s spent the rest of his life chasing the feeling of being important in the worst way possible.

Something about the idea of Season 2/3 Scott looking at his baby pack at the time with that sweet summer child vibe they had before The Horrors started Happening and going ‘I don’t know what I’d do without you guys’ and then the scene cutting to a sixteen year old Theo murdering some guy because he’s spent seven years being moulded into a weapon to be aimed and fired because he might not have been good enough for The Beast but he was still an excellent tool for furthering the cause.
