Looney tunes show episode where everyones periods sync up and daffy reads on a blog that peoples periods always sync up to match the alpha of ghe pack and so daffy goes on a power trip thinking that he is the biologically ordained alpha roommate and demands to be treated like a king and make all the decisions like what restaurant to eat from and what color monster truck to buy because he is a natural born leader and he gets pissed off when they try to get a different kind because WHOSE period did you sync up with again and basically goes mad with power until his decisions lead them to catastrophe and at the end of te episode it turns out that they actually synced to bugs.

am i the only on who finds marvin completely unrecognizable without his helmet? like seeing him wearing some other kind of hat or nothing at all is like "who is this character? who is this little cue-ball head man" but just seeing the helmet on its own is like "OH it's marvin"

NOOO I LOVE HOW BALD MARVIN IS......Honest to god i was going to make a post about it but I could not track down an (official) image of him sans hat and didnt have time to draw so if you have any PUH-LEEZE send them my way.....people are literally so afraid to acknowledge marvins bald head. Today I learned Marvin used to be called "Antwerp" until like 1970 something and tbh I think it fits him better. Goes with his nasally British(?) accent, I think

Yeah it's a pretty funny working name! Never was personally a big fan of it, though, I get the pun but it feels so on-the-nose....I think "Marvin" is so such a perfectly unassuming name that it really fits his wolf-in-sheep's-clothing character. Plus it's just a very snappy name, "marvin the martian" is. rolls off the tongue. Very grateful 2 whoever threw together that string of words they knew what was up

I love how chunky marvin the martian's character design is in looney tunes cartoons. His eyes his shoes his skirt even his helmet have such round and solid shapes they are like mega bloks.....extremely shaped being

So on that Back in Action clip you mention in the tags that's not the worst thing he's ever said which. Makes me wonder what you think the Most Cursed Marvin line is. For me it's probably "those - aren't -batteries!" Purely because of the context.

OMG that christmas movie footage was SOOOO EVIL I WISH IT WAS REAL!!!! I wish we had a shitty marvin the martian steals christmas movie with bad cgi and dick jokes. Like some kinda nightmarish elf/space jam lovechild. AWFUL. To answer your question I have several questionable marvin lines in mind but I think i want to make a compilation of them in a video....not now because i'm so deep in work i have to do but ITS ON MY TO DO LIST. I;m going to expose him 4 the freak he is

YEAH thats just him! Better yet, that red outfit is almost definitely a onesie footie pajamas type deal. This isn't the EXACT same outfit (different color), but after having been exploded by his own space modulator we can see evidence of this:

And although our marvin is generally modest about showing skin there ARE some episodes where he's not covered head-to-toe in martian armor. Most notably in the duck dodgers series commander x-2 (a completely fictional character played brilliantly by the famous actor marvin the martian) is wearing a lot less and so his skin color is more obvious. And of course there is always this:

Ok so one thing I REALLY wanna see in the new shorts is Marvin starring with another toon besides Bugs or Daffy. Like. In the golden age shorts he went 4 times against Bugs and once against Daffy (in Dodgers), and both times in the new shorts he's been against Bugs. But in the comics, he's been against Foghorn Leghorn (at least 3 times), Wile E. Coyote, Yosemite Sam, even Sylvester. I know he was deliberately made to be Bugs' enemy, but I just wanna see him meeting more toons. How about you?

ABSOLUTELY, I am not as familiar with the comics (some of them are SO hard to find online....) but the few i've read with the marv have been very funny. I love the cartoons he appears in but the bugs/marvin ones definitely get a bit....formulaic, which I guess wasn't an issue when most people only saw them in theaters or whenever they happened to be on TV, but with the rise of home media and especially online streaming where it's easier to watch them all back-to-back it's a lot more obvious. Glaring example off the top of my head is hare-way to the stars, which, besides the introduction of instant martians, is pretty much a spitting image of the original 'haredevil hare' (I personally think the former is a lot stronger despite the proto-martian voices, but that's a matter of opinion).

The new looney tunes cartoons feel new and fresh while still feeling like a return to form, and the marvin ones are no exception; even the ones with bugs introduce enough unique material to keep things interesting. So while i don't see the return of the bugs/marvin dynamic to be a particular hindrance with this batch of cartoons, I do love the way the comics mix-and-match different characters! Of the ones I perused I think my favorites were the ones where he's up against charlie dog and taz. Charlie dog was an unexpected (but pleasant!) surprise to see in the comics, and I loved the comic itself; it's a ridiculous situation to begin with, and the illustrations were delightfully expressive (i've always been a fan of dave alvarez's work). And taz and marvin the martian are such polar opposites that it almost feels like a no-brainer to throw them into the same ring, if only for "dialogue" like this:

I think these are a lot of fun if only for the novelty of it all - not all the pairings pan out as well as the others (i wasn't as big a fan of the foghorn leghorn ones, as much as I like foghorn himself), but it's still a simple pleasure in its own right to throw two characters that never interact into the same place just to see what happens. Especially since a lot of them are two designated "loser" characters butting heads; (chuck jones's) bugs bunny is going to win against his adversaries like 99% of the time, but the chaos of two bumbling idiots fighting each other is a different ballgame. It is like when kids argue over 'who would win tyrannosaurus or triceratops' except instead of mighty prehistoric beasts it is two equally stupid cartoons fumbling around with a rocket ship. Anyone can lose!

Jokes aside I just about lost it with the Martian liscene gag from that short. Congrats your middle name is now Loser

RIGHT?!?!?! It's such a blink-and-you'll-miss-it joke but its so funny I am glad I didn't blink. I also was disappointed that it wasn't T for The but Q is a funny enoigh letter that i still am happy with it, it's like third in line after T and J for Highest-end middle initial for a cartoon character. I think it stands for Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator (he named it after himself)
