I really love the idea of Marvus and how he parallels to The Great Milkeno from ICP lore.

This makes so much sense to me. Not to absolve Marvus of any guilt, because he’s certainly guilty of many amoral actions, but he is used by the narrative to reveal the underlying degeneration of troll society. He uses his chucklevoodoos power (the ‘illusions’) to drive his fans into a frenzy and attack each other, himself coming out unscathed at the end of the mayhem. The role he plays is one of a catalyst — he primes his victims into releasing primal urges that they already had to begin with. In doing so, we come to realize that trolls are already violent and have many dangerous intentions brewing at the surface, waiting to be unveiled by the likes of Marvus. Whether or not they are inherently predisposed to amoral acts is very much what humans reflect on ourselves. Is it nature? Is it nurture? Either way, the evil is there, and it is exploited. The interesting part about this is that Marvus does not give his victims a chance to fight his chucklevoodoos. Anyone who is at his concerts is already damned. I suppose the choice would be to either attend his shows or not? Not much of a choice for an avid fan, but thems the breaks.

I see Marvus as a sort of ‘we vibin no need to put names on it lol’ sort of dude at first glance but…. you know that man is craving some affection. Like, the first time mspa reader wraps him in a hug he absolutely BSOD’s and just sort of…. awkwardly stands there all stiff because he doesn’t want it to end but he’s also never like… genuinely been hugged (ouch poor guy) so he’s not sure what to do or why you’re doing that.

so, gamzee and kurloz

when i talk about gamzee’s status as a villain in hs i always seem to bring kurloz into it, whether because he’s relevant to the discussion or because i just like him a lot, but i think taking a legitimate villain like kurloz and comparing him to gamzee is a good way to analyze and piece together gamzee’s actions and intentions and try to determine if he's really a villain

I mean. Just reminding people that Gamzee has been a victim of abuse too, and experiencing this at such a young age it is not a surprise that he became an abuser himself. Things that child neglect can cause in a person: - Violent and criminal behavior - Becoming the abuser - Mental disorders such as PTSD, personality disorders, and depression - substance abuse

All of which seem to be things Gamzee suffers from. Add the fact of his friends emotionally abusing him(degrading him and his beliefs, making fun of him behind his back, ignoring him, putting him down), again, its no wonder he turned out the way he did. He is still accountable for everything, but at the same time Gamzee has suffered from abuse too. Please remember that he isn’t just the abuser.

back at it again with the GHB/reader stuff ya’ll

There is only one sure-fire way to escape the GHB’s wrath if he is to pass judgement on someone. It isn’t a well-known tactic because anyone who has the misfortune of having an audience with him is too busy pissing themselves from fear and frantically scrambling for ways to make this giant turd crack a smile. 

That secret, is to make you laugh. 

He usually prefers to have you right by his side at all times, and the duty of being the GHB’s lover is rather difficult at times. It is no surprise that you might lose some of your spirit, and he catches on to that very quickly. 

So if someone is savvy enough to recognize how much of a soft spot he has for you, and manages to get you to laugh, then that person gets to live to see another day (almost unheard of). 

The GHB is utterly weak at the sight of your face lit up by a bright smile, and he much prefers hearing the sound of your laughter rather than the screams of some nobody who’s being slaughtered. After this rare moment, he has you sitting in his lap all day and can’t seem to let you go. He’s a purring mess in private. Basically, your good mood is his good mood.

One might ask, well xerxezra how the fuck does this go down?? 

I’ll tell you how.

Some poor bastard with a death wish sneaks a whoopee cushion onto the GHB’s throne before he arrives, and as the old bastard prepares to get comfortable before sentencing this troll to death by clown, everyone present becomes eerily silent as an obnoxiously loud fart echoes through the room once the GHB sits down. A heartbeat of silence continues after the whoopee cushion is deflated, everyone is prepared for the rampage of their lives, and then you just start roaring with laughter. GHB is heart eyes motherfucker meme at you in that moment.
