Doing some pre-movie cultural exploration into the history of Barbie. Thanks to @christinetaylorbutler for steering me to @tanya.lee.stone’s #TheGoodTheBadAndTheBarbie (free listening on Audible), and @glamkittydiana for steering me to @andreanevinsfilms’s #TinyShoulders, a Hulu documentary. I’m getting quite curious to see what @officialgretagerwig (whose film I adore) has done with #Barbie. Full disclosure that I was not a Barbie fan growing up. Barbie was pretty much a stand-in for every beheaded queen (Anne Boleyn, Katheryn Howard, Marie Antoinette, and Princess Elizabeth of France). The evolution of our Seacoast skies over the past few days. The smoke from the Canadian wildfires finally found us. On Tuesday morning there was smog at the beach.
