current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.

I had a super angsty IE dream last night

(a very long Kazemaru-centred post):

In the dream there were both OG and GO characters, all as kids bc apparently my brain didn't remember that they don't coexist

The Raimon team was playing against a team of mostly beginners and Raimon was winning but then the other team had a (very legal) way to make sure it wouldn't last!! They put some poison on some of the soccer balls, I think it was some kind of borate idk I'm not a chemist (the joke is that I am, in fact, a chemist) and it was a poison that was invisible on the ball but that reacted with the skin to leave a blueish-green trace, almost like very bad bruises

And Kazemaru was the one who noticed because he threw a ball with his hands and noticed the tips of his fingers became blue, so he quickly understood what was going on and got very very mad!!! He was arguing with the other team but they were assholes so he lost it and kicked the clearly poisoned ball at them

They ended the match there and the Raimon team was mad at Kazemaru because he literally tried to murder someone by throwing poison at them, and he kept saying "I know, I shouldn't have done that, I know, I shouldn't have done that" but well we all know Kaze has quite a bit of evilness hiding inside >:) Then Midori took him to the bathroom to wash his hands since his fingers were getting more and more blue, it was a poison that was lethal if inhaled or swallowed so they washed his fingers as best as they could and then covered them with bandages to make sure he wouldn't unintentionally bring them to his face and. Like. Instantly die.

He was all angsty all emo thinking he had lost the trust of his teammates and that they would never want to play with him again, but then the other team demanded they do another game since the previous one was interrupted before they could get a winner, they promised they wouldn't use the poison again and Endou believed them. Kazemaru watched Endou gather all the players for an unofficial game (with no coach or referee ofc because otherwise it wouldn't be funny) and he was sure he wouldn't be asked to play after what he had done, but Endou came up to him and asked him to help. He went from incredulous to moved almost to tears to VERY DETERMINED very fast and of course he said yes!! Because the thing is, he knew the team lied and that they would use the poison again, but Raimon wouldn't believe him if he said so and asked them to cancel the game, and since he was already contaminated, he would make sure his friends wouldn't touch the balls! So he played harder than he ever did and never stayed in defense too long, he was everywhere on the court he shot he intercepted he stopped some goals with his whole body he!!! He was very cool!! But his teammates were irritated with his behaviour because he was playing on his own and didn't let them help, which means he wasn't able to score, it was annoying >:( they yelled at him to stop but he obviously didn't listen

Then at some point, Kaze jumped and hit the ball with his head to try to score, but one of the Raimon guys (that I didn't know, my brain must have invented them) saw that the trajectory wasn't perfect, so he also jumped and also used his head and yes!! They scored!! But Kazemaru yelled a heartbreaking "NO!!!!" and when he landed he looked at the guy with an absolutely horrified face. Before, he was making sure that he was always moving so that the others couldn't look at him, but he was so stunned and miserable there that the others could look at his face and they all saw that the two players were wearing matching blue traces on their faces. Since the poison was so close to their noses it took a few breaths during which everyone from Raimon was quiet and horrified and then they both fainted

This time Endou understood and he called the end of the game and Kaze & the other guy were sent to the hospital in an ambulance, no one could go with them since they were contaminated but they could see that Kazemaru had blueish spots everywhere, his face, his arms, his knees, and his hand that was contaminated before was now almost entirely blue

Endou was so worried and felt so guilty that his naivety caused his best friend in the world to go to the hospital, he was on a bench looking all :(( and thinking about Kaze, he didn't have any news but he knew his state was bad. (Also at this point the other team was trying to make people believe that I was Kaze who put the poison on the balls, since during the 1st game he had no problem throwing contaminated balls at them!!)

At some point Endou got up and decided that this was enough!!! He would go to the hospital and ask to see him!! They couldn't keep him away, he was his best friend! But then Yuuichi (with legs?) appeared and told him "hey, I know the answer to all these problems! You should play table tennis!!!" Which Endou was very 🤨🤨 about

But then Yuuichi explained that he had set up a whole table tennis training program that he was sure could benefit Endou as a goalkeeper and would surely help him better this and that ability or whatever, so Endou accepted. He did the training program (which mostly involved parkour and jumping from pole to pole?) but then Kidou and Gouenji appeared and they were so mad at Endou like "Your best friend is in the hospital and accused of murder attempts and you're just playing??? Dude wtf"

Then Yuuichi sighed and explained that he was actually trying to protect Kaze. All the people who had played the game against the poison team were a tiny bit contaminated even if it wasn't enough to be noticeable on their skin, and while for them it was almost nothing, not enough to be dangerous, for Kazemaru, the tiniest addition of poison in the air of his hospital room could be lethal. He explained that the poison could propagate via blood and that since Kazemaru played very hard during that game, his heart beat super fast and so the poison spread very quickly as well, which is why his hand had turned all blue. Then he said that Kaze was in a very very bad state, that he was already on life-support and that they had to filter all of his blood.

Endou felt even more guilty knowing that and knowing that he couldn't even see his friend without putting his life in danger :(

Then unfortunately my alarm rang and I had to go to work, but idk, I felt like the dream (which otherwise didn't make sense) gave a really good representation of Kazemaru's selflessness and self-sacrificing tendencies lmao
