ROMEO AND JULIET; ACT 5 SCENE THREE; JHONEN VASQUEZ STYLE (checkit out if you like jthm!!)

This was for my English final. I said in the last post that it’s a PARODY of Romeo & Juliet, but that implies that it’s funny, and it’s really not, except for the fact that Romeo is emo. You’ll probably recognize some panels from JTHM that I referenced in drawing.

Commentary: I really didn’t wanna draw Paris. As for why Romeo’s emo; it was a running joke from my teacher since he was so dramatic. He looks a bit like Johnny. Continue!

Commentary: I was sketching Juliet’s design a whole lot in class, I wanted her to look like a creepy ghost girl. Tybalt, luckily, I only had to draw once.

Commentary: Recognize some panels? I needed Johnny for reference in how to express emotions. Keep in mind, I didn’t do any in depth studies of Jhonen’s style before I started.

Commentary: Same pose as dead Johnny. A meanwhile reference!

Commentary: This page was boring to draw, except for Juliet!

Commentary: I originally wanted Juliet to be expressionless in the eyes, but that’s no fun!

Commentary: More panels referenced. Catch the Demolition Lovers?!?! And of course, my glorious king: Filler Bunny.
