y’all wanna see the creation myth i wrote for the Masî world?
English:
In the earliest days, the world was a bed of chaos and disorder.
The gods came and tamed this world.
They lifted mountains, then they carved canyons, then they drew coasts.
Life and Death created Day and Night. Day and Night gave us time.
Balance and Chaos created The Elements. Fire took the west and the desert. Air took the north and the mountains. Water took the east and oceans. Land took the south and the forests.
Fate created Mysteries. Mystery created The Storykeeper. The Storykeeper created Life and Death.
Finally, All the gods created people. Life and Death created Humans. Day and Night created Beastfolk. Balance created giants, Chaos created kenku. The Elements created the Element blooded together, then Fire created goblins, Water created elves, Air created drakes, Land created satyrs.
The magic of the gods bled onto the land. From this were created monsters. The greatest monsters are the Dragons. The Dragons created Dragonblooded, the dragonblooded are guardians of the graves of Dragons.
We, the Masi, were created last. We are the most sacred people. Fate and Stories created us. We keep the Great Temple. We keep the sacred garden. We keep the prophecies. We keep the stories of the world.
now in Masî written in the latin alphabet (i’ll make a more in depth post about the language soon enough, probably once i get my final paper about it put together)

Redux on my first post cuz i had nothing cooked at that point but here we go for realsies now
so the world of Masî is a dnd homebrew world for the most part, with a rough timeline of 5k years in 3.5 eras
In the very oldest days, the world was essentially a playground chaos where magic ran wild and creation and destruction were one in the same. the elder gods, Life, Death, Fate, Mysteries, and The Storyteller, came and wished to make of it something where life and peace could flourish, and so tamed the chaos. in this, a pair of gods was created, Chaos and Balance. After this, Day and Night were created and guided the cycles of the world, life and death, good and evil, chaos and balance, etc etc, not allowing gods to overrule each other and not allowing to world to return to the unchecked mess it once was.
As the now 9 gods went to work building up the world, Life and Death used the untamed magic to create the elemental quadruplets, Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, who balanced each other and helped raise mountains and lower coasts and create various landscapes that life may someday walk upon.
These 13 gods worked the land until it was to their liking, and then went about the creation of beasts and monsters. from the hare to the dragon all made from flowing magic and divine curiosity.
Finally came mortals. each god made their own children, and by now some lesser gods had arisen and they too partook in this creation. but The Storyteller made one people that were special to them the most, the Masî people, meant to keep the Great Temple at the center of the continent, tend to it’s garden, and protect the tablets recounting this creation story.
this is the little .5 era, the age of creation, which only lasted a very short while and doesn’t really factor into the 5000 year history. this is also shortened from what i want it to be so eventually i’ll extend it.
tune it next [eventually] for when i write about the age of Heroes!
