Also, if they didn't change their minds, they plan to do this by forcing Internet providers, navigators and apps to keep some security breaches open so the governments can use them. That means we would be more vulnerable to hacking.
I don't think they plan to ask Internet providers to monitor the traffic but if they do, it's bad. Even with a VPN you can't hide everything from your Internet provider

Started reading How to Train Your Dragon School.
If it is linked to the last chapter of the databook, I don't understand some things. But I'm just at the beginning so maybe it's normal.
I like Lucky Ducky design a lot!
Edit: okay I saw the note at the end of the book

Make the characters talk to each other damnit
Yesterday I was looking for a very old Beyblade AMV so that I can use it to traumatize people with cursed fanarts and found the "true ending" of Shogun Steel/Zero-G.
And I watched it.
And once again I was frustrated.
So let me rage a bit here.
This scene. It triggers me.
On this picture we have Gingka, a guy that is next to his friend since the beginning of Metal Fusion, a dude that was on his team for the world championships and one of his 2 best friends
They're all friends (except Maru, she's too young).
WHY DO THEY HAVE NO INTERACTIONS?????????
Gingka got kidnapped by the DNA AND WE SEE NO INTERACTION WITH HIS FRIENDS??????
He's sitting right next to a character he hanged with A LOT. Like Madoka is literally the character who appears in the most of episodes right after Gingka! And tagged along with him through 3 seasons, including Masters where almost all their gang got kicked out of the season.
We get pictures of a lot of old characters, couldn't you just squeeze one more to show Gingka's reunion with his 3 old friends here after he got rescued????
Look at all the pictures:
Secondary characters. They're important in the manga but even Tetsuya is more important than these two in the anime
Kyoya is the rival and a Legendary Blader so it's fine. His brother only appears in the manga tho
Kenta is important, Ryo is Gingka's dad and most importantly, the former WBBA president. And were he goes goes Hikaru as his secretary. Fair
Rival team in Masters that helps them a lot after. Plus a Legendary Blader. And a random guy. Justified
Pretty important in Masters but that's all. I'm not surprised they appeared here but I wouldn't be either if they didn't. Could have been skipped
Rival team that does not much after 1 battle. Wait, is that the guy from the MOVIE?? They removed my reunion moment to say the movie is canon?????
Important dude introduced in Masters and was part of the Gan Gan Galaxy. Lucky he's here 'cause otherwise I would have said this picture is useless. Also where's King, I thought he was your new bf Masamune??
Ryuga deserved a cloud.
A moment of silence for all the Legendary Bladers who didn't even appear on one frame in Zero-G. You saved the world but the creators didn't deemed you worthy enough to appear in Zero-G.
I'm almost paying a patreon to Takafumi Adachi to read his post explaining the lore in Zero-G.
#me rambling#useless thing#beyblade#beyblade metal saga#i don't remember if the zero-g manga version has the same “setup” as the anime version#but i love the fact that for once a magic toy that almost caused the end of the world is almost banned after#i have some theories on why gingka is traveling again#who made the new bey system#and why kenta and the others don't act on screen in zero-g#side note: madoka sat between tsubasa and maru at the beginning of the lost episodes but the writers/director put her next to gingka after#this is interesting too but only from the ginmado shipper i am lol

What I really love about Rin's "I've liked you since we first met" and him falling for Shiemi is that it starts like a typical romance for a guy of his age.
He sees a girl for the first time and thinks "she's pretty". And that's all.
At first.
Then they become friends and he's like "I really like her" and it grows more and more.
Basic but it works thanks to Kato dealing with her characters' relationships very well.
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Can someone tell me when the new HTTYD book physical copy is supposed to be released in the UK please?
The websites that sell it all say it's supposed to come out in June or July but last time I checked it was the date for the US version.
The UK version was May 8th but it seems only the ebook version has come out

Also, if all it wanted was to make references to other animes, they would have picked more famous scenes that the general audience can recognize, like Luffy's Gear 2nd pose.
Seriously, who knows about Nausicaa's laser beam except for people who dug out the old ghibli movies? Who knows that animating missiles this way is actually a specific "technic"?
Sailor Moon is the most famous anime referenced in Zenshuu and it's just a couple of posters and like 2 random seconds in some episodes while Serval Cat Mask inspired a character to change.
a criticism ive seen leveled at zenshu multiple times since finishing the show and reading others' comments about it is the claim that it doesn't do much beyond making references to old media, as if the context in which those references are made doesn't matter at all. and im not here to argue that the anime is secretly a masterpiece or anything, but like, i just saw a post saying it was essentially doing the same thing marvel movies do?? and i simply cannot think of a more reductive view of what the show is trying to convey!
the ENTIRE point of zenshu's themes is about the power of media we engage with. it is about how falling in love with a piece of art can literally change your entire life.
i hate to make arguments that sound like "well you just don't get it because of xyz", but based on what i've seen, i really do feel like a lot of what zenshu is actually trying to say is getting a bit lost on its more general audience; if you're an artist, or anyone who was inspired to create something because you discovered art that was very meaningful to you, the way zenshu chooses to engage with its own influences makes perfect sense.
it's not just "and for this episode, we will reference THIS cool thing that people know and like!" it's "the character is drawing something referential because art and animation are her life, and these are the things that came before her, which she studied and draws inspiration from." it's meant to be a bit cheeky and referential, yes, but it's not JUST "hey remember This Thing?" it's paying homage to real great works of art that inspired the REAL people making the show - the ART - that you're literally in the process of viewing! it's artists celebrating the art that made them fall in love with creating things and become artists themselves
#reblog#me rambling#zenshu#zenshu is a love story#but the “main” love story is not Natsuko and Luke's relationship#it's the love story between people and art#whether they're an artist or simply an audience

Hm I didn't plan on diving further into why I dislike Fei's adult design but I woke up to this and found ryuusei-boi arguments interesting. Yes, I do like thinking about why I like or don't like something when it comes to fictional creations.
Yesterday I had a conversation with a friend who's really good when it comes to analyze charaters designs.
We talked about many small details that differ between the adult design and the child design that, all together, might explain why the same character looks so different.
First, my friend mentionned that Fei's face shape is not the same, like ryuusei-boi said. I'm really bad at drawing different face shapes so I don't know what they mean other than "it feels different somehow".
What bothers me though is his eyes. They don't have the same shape.

The adult form has one more angle, making the eyes less round.
Then the haircut. They kept the bunny ears but they downgraded them? It's supposed to be an important element of Fei's design since it shows the character is themed after the rabbit and THAT is a hint to his link to Kinako (there is a tale about a rabbit making mochi). Also, we're in Inazuma Eleven. They exagerate all the signature traits of their characters. The adult versions of most of IE characters also kept these traits very visible.
His body also bothers me. Inazuma Eleven characters barely get so much buffed between childhood and adulthood and when they do, it's very clear. Again, exagerating traits if they're important.
My friend also noticed they removed the round parts in his hair that are very present in the Rune family and where in his child design:
See? The lineart of their hair has a lot of large curves, giving the hair oval shapes.
Honestly, because of all these small details, when I first saw adult!Fei, I thought it was his son or grandson or his relative. Not him aged up. That's what I don't like about his new design. It doesn't feel like 'Fei' enough to me.
Inazuma Eleven Victory Road
I refuse to acknoledge this is what Fei looks like as an adult
#reblog#inazuma eleven#the game looks pretty sick though#there is A LOT in it#i'm interested in the stories of the story mode and the chronicles mode too#but i don't understand if the deluxe edition will be the only way to get fei#or if it will simply give an item we'll need to collect multiple times to unlock him#well at least it's not fubuki

I don't think the president planned on killing any of them.
The director bird died from food poisoning but Natsuko never met her so she probably quit the studio before Natsuko joined it. Also her death happened something like 15 years after AToP was released.
"Planned bentos" probably refers to bentos ordered in advance, like in the morning for the same day. It's common for one person to order for their coworkers too especially if your company is the one paying. It's easier than having everyone ordering each after another.
I guess the president got ones with a close due date because they were cheaper but didn't open the bags to check on them. They're all adults, it's not difficult for one to check the date themself.
Plus, and that's only my personal opinion, I think that the president knew Natsuko would struggle with making First Loved entrusted it to her on purpose. The president probably noticed Natsuko was bad with relationships in general. Her coworkers tried to help her but she always pushed them away. So the president decided to put her in front of a very big wall, knowing that if Natsuko succeeded the profit would be worth the risk. She probably planned on forcing her to delegate or seek help if Natsuko really couldn't make First Love.
My boyfriend and I had a theory about Zenshu that didn’t end up canon, but I thought I’d share it anyways. So the Studio President was involved in A Tale of Perishing, and the Director died after it was released and was transported into a Tale of Perishing.
Natsuko “died” after eating that clam bento and was transported into the movie world as well. The Bento boxes were stated by the studio president to have been “planned bentos”. (idk what it was in the original, my bf and I watched in English)
One person dying under your watch is an accident, two is suspicious. Our theory was that after AToP was released and considered a flop, the President killed the Director. When Natsuko’s ego was stalling production on Hatsukoi, the president tried to kill her via poisoning her bento. Given that the only 3 Real World people are in AToP, Director, Natsukp, and the president’s cameo character; what if the President has some sort of power or connection to the other world?
I think the President was afraid that Natsuko was going to cause the studio to produce ANOTHER flop which would have been bad for the company, so she decided to get rid of her.
What are your thoughts?

Zenshuu episode 12
YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!!!!!
Damn you staff, you make us watch Luke suffer 3 episodes because a stupid bird is too stubborn and when he and Unio are finally free from their duty, we don't get to see them happily reuniting with Natsuko?!
I was sad when Justice died. And also when Destiny comforted the children in their last moments. Dude with the 8 wives seem to be a decent guy after all.
I like that Natsuko training to draw Luke with her eyes closed was actually useful lol
I agree with the bird for once: not all movies need to have a happy ending. Wolf's Rain could have ended on Kiba dying and stopped at the flowers that grew around him and it would have been a good ending. Sad af but still a good ending. The wolves protected the new world, the one they call Paradise, end of the story
What bothers me with the bird wanting a sad ending no matter what is that "A Tale of Perishing" seems to be only despair. It's not just a tragedy, it looks like the director bird put all her despair into her movie.
I do think her not wanting anything to alter her movie is a metaphor of writers and directors not liking it when fans write fanfics or draw fanarts that change their piece of work.
The ending is fine but I'm a little disappointed this last episode talked less about the "animators world" compared to the others.
Overall a good anime if you're not expecting too much and like references to the "artist's world", especially animators.
It was a fun ride!

I should sleep right now but this is very interesting.
Luke noticed Natsuko has actually a pretty face being her wall of hair some episodes before he met Destiny. But it seems that at this point it was just "oh, she's actually pretty".
In my opinion, what Luke felt when he met Destiny was: "Oh, she's pretty, I want to know more about her".
I don't think love at first sight is really love at first. I think it's more like "I REAAAAAALLY want to spend more time with this person" and as you do, you develop actual feelings for them.
I think that's where Luke (and Destiny) were at in Zenshuu was "I'm attracted to this person". But depending on what comes after, it can turn out to be that you just see them as a romantic interest or a friend or even simply someone you admire but don't want to befriend.
In Zenshuu, Luke (and Destiny) probably didn't have time to find out at the party since:
Luke got drunk pretty quick it seems
a Void appeared
Then after it seems like Destiny focused on her training and on building her orphanage. Luke wasn't part of her planning anymore. He felt it and no matter how strong your relationship used to be, be it love or friendship or even family bound, if you don't work enough to maintain it, it's gonna get damaged and eventually it will die.
So he let go before his feelings turned into actual love.
To make it simple, it's like when you think you could be friend with someone and then that person leaves you and talk to someone else for the rest of the party.
Just something that confuses me a bit..
Luke was being all blushy when he met Destiny, because that’s the way it was supposed to be in the original story. But Natsuko is Luke’s first love right? So was that just because that was before the story was being revised as much? Or did he not actually fall in love with Destiny (yet)? Because technically Destiny is his first love right?
I thought maybe since Natsuko showed up in the story, things had already changed so that the meeting between Luke and Destiny would not turn out the way it should’ve, but it did! Its after that that things changed.
Don’t tell me he just got turned off by Destiny’s transformation!? Cuz i mean i understand having preferences but you cant tell me he actually fell in and out of love THAT fast!
I’d love to hear anyone’s thought abt this!
#reblog#anime#zenshu#i think luke finds the new destiny less attractive because of her new look but i agree it seems odd he'd fall out so quick because of this#not to mention building so much muscles is a slow process#you don't wake up and go “ew too much muscles” when you see the person often#so i think it was some kind of temporary crush that got crushed (no pun intended) before it became serious?

Zenshuu episode 11
OKAY PEOPLE I DIDN'T GET EVERYTHING BUT THIS IS GOOD!
Also shout out to Unio for being such a good friend to Luke.
Now that I think about it, his horn glows the same color as Natsuko's ruler and the broken horn was in her hoodie pocket like her pegbar.
That's why Luke cried when he heard Memmeln say she was sick of wars never ending. Well, part of. I'm sure the main reason was that he had compassion for her.
Natsuko got a taste of her own medicine. It's sad but with some people, the only thing that'll make them question their attitude is being hit hard enough by life to the point they'll start to think they're worthless. Or discover that all the friends they thought they had won't help them after being treated so bad.
It also feels like a cry from animators and everyone working in the anime industry, both when it comes to dealing with the pressure and disapointment from fans.
This is also something artists can face when sharing their art online: the feeling that no one likes your art.
The episode describes the solution pretty well in my opinion: you should draw for yourself. I LOVE the fact that the voice of her pegbar is in fact the voice of her 9 years old self. Maybe it's because I draw as a hobby too.
I don't agree when Natsuko says that Luke saved her tho. She seemed to be a regular little girl with a regular life.
Luke's break down was a little painful to watch. I felt like watching the video that taught me about the 5 stages of grief. "First is denial, then comes anger".
#me ramblin#anime#zenshu#maybe natsuko's bar is unio's broken horn#we're gonna cry next week pals#if the ending's lyrics are a foreshadowing of the end i want to thank the one who had this idea#also i like shitty stuff too#like yurei deco#i love watching it but if you ask me if it is worth watching unless i know you're not demanding i'll say 'nah'#still i went all the way to create an account on amazon jp and import the bluray and i don't even have a bluray reader XD
