I don’t know why this keeps happening. I take these amazing women, like Pickles, like you, Katrina, Jessica, and I ruin them.

Have any tips for saving money on trips into nyc for sleep no more? Thanks!
Oof. It’s hard on the wallet, for sure. Especially with those ticket price hikes!
HotelsWe try to get last minute deals on hotels, booking the morning of or right before check-up using Priceline Express or Hotel Tonight to find low rates. Even in the peak season, last minute deals will crop up somewhere in Manhattan. The Chelsea International Hostel is fairly inexpensive if you don’t mind a shared bath. We’ve never stayed there, but other out-of-town fans have and said it was fine. Also, like, you could stay with a friend (if you have a local friend).
FoodDollar pizza slices, bodega paninis, fast food, greasy diners, and bringing your own snacks, as necessary. There are also a lot of inexpensive places to eat in midtown in Chelsea in the >$10 range. Some affordable favorites for us are the Melt Shop in Chelsea,  Chelsea Deli (around the corner from the show on 10th and great for a quick bite between shows if you’re doing a double), and Maoz on the corner of W. 40th and 7th.TransportationStay within walking distance of the show when possible. If driving in, see if you can get a decent deal through your hotel on a local parking garage. Some people park in NJ for free/cheap and take the ferry or train over. Use public transportation whenever possible, which is honestly still a great, affordable price. If you’re lazy/old/uncomfortable with public transit, Uber or Lyft from JFK or LGA are only $35 for a shared ride, which isn’t too bad and is cheaper than a taxi.Um, that’s all we’ve got. Honestly, it’s still expensive if you’re an out-of-towner like us. Hope this helps a little, though!

“Esoterically, the Hanged Man is the human spirit which is suspended from heaven by a single thread. Wisdom, not death, is the reward for this voluntary sacrifice during which the human soul, suspended above the world of illusion, and meditating upon its unreality, is rewarded by the achievement of self-realization.“

Riots
While we’re on the topic of the kind of lawbreaking ‘civil’ society frowns upon, let’s say out loud for a moment that rioting in response to injustice works.
Is it dangerous? yes. Will the media lie about it? yes. Will people in our own communities tell us that we’re ruining it for the good activists? probably.
But when every police shooting is answered with riots, smashed windows, burned trashcans, the direct result is that police departments find themselves under pressure to not create more ‘incidents’ because riots are expensive, cost politicians votes and break through the illusion of total state control.
Riots actually make cops think twice about the consequences of their actions while politely appealing to recognition of our humanity and reforms and  sensitivity trainings generally achieve fuck all.

Roman soldier: Uh, Emperor Caligula, are you feeling all right?
Caligula: Of course, of course!
Caligula: *stabs ocean*
Caligula: TAKE THAT, POSEIDON, YOU FISH-FLAVORED FUCK!
Roman soldier: ...and the senator?
Senator: Neigh.

How did you come up with your username?
It was suggested by tumblr and I just really liked it.  Favorite character?
Speakeasy Bartender, Sexy Witch, and Hekate. Favorite bar character?
I’ve only ever seen Evelyn but she is definitely my favorite. Favorite one on one?
Speakeasy Bartender’s. It was really intense considering the timing.
Favorite scene?
Hekate singing “Is that all there is?” Favorite song?
I’m a sucker for Ink Spots. Biggest pet peeve?
People talking during the show, it was a seriously big problem the last weekend I went. Not to mention even the black masks talked to me when I looked lost (I was and appreciated it but it ruins the atmosphere.) Worst audience behavior you’ve seen?
Nothing too bad, thankfully, but I only went twice. Talking almost immediately after we were told not too was was the worst.  First moment in the show? Following a poisoned guy up the stairs, losing him, and ending up in Boy Witch’s solo in the Speakeasy. First one on one?
Speakeasy Bartender.  How many times have you seen Sleep No More? Twice, going for a third next month. :) Bonus Answer:
The Lost Supper was just an amazing piece of theater and I loved it, it was surreal and dreamy in the best way even tho I went by myself. All the actors were phenomenal and there was superb music choices. I ended up making friends with two aweome women my age for the night despite most of the audience being much older and relaxed in Gallow Green afterwards.
