Tokyo Ghoul re Chapter 30 thoughts

Overall, I thought that chapter was good.

A couple things. Hinami is awesome now. I really just want Kaneki to come back already. Sasaki has done nothing to deserve to be liked and is weaker than the Kaneki. Every chapter for the last couple weeks makes it seem like he is coming back but here I am continuing to wait.

NATSU ISN’T NECESSARILY ZEREF’S BROTHER.

Zeref’s brother is dead, and Natsu (our Natsu, E.N.D.) is someone Zeref recreated in his dead brother’s body. Etherious Natsu Dragneel is Fairy Tail’s Natsu, while the real Natsu Dragneel is Zeref’s dead brother. They are two different beings in one body.

E.N.D. and Zeref Clarification After Chapter 436

It seems a lot of people on here need to reread the Tartarus Arc because the amount of posts I see thinking that Natsu went directly from his demon resurrection to in Igneel’s care is shocking to me.

FACTS about E.N.D. from the Tartarus Arc:

1. E.N.D. was the one that CREATED Tartarus, not Zeref, not Mard Geer, not the Nine Demon Gates. It was Natsu. Zeref said so in Chapter 373.

2. E.N.D. was the one that CREATED Curses. Mard Geer said so in Chapter 410. I have to think that creating Curses could take years.

3. We already have Atlas Flame telling us that E.N.D. is the most powerful and evil demon that Zeref created. We are talking about even more powerful than demons like Deliora or who caused massive destruction.

Now that we have those facts, it’s time to figure out the explanations.

The biggest thing to explain is why was Natsu little when Igneel was raising him. Well I have a great explanation. Given the 3 facts above, E.N.D. must have had many years to show off his power and how evil he was. We know that E.N.D.’s powers and memories were sealed in the Book of E.N.D. following a fight to the death with Igneel. I suspect that the sealing had a similar effect as Doriate’s regression magic. With all his demonic power gone, E.N.D.’s body reverted back to that of his pre-demonificaction.

The next thing to explain is why did no member of Tartarus recognize Natsu. I suspect that since he is an Etherious that like all members of Tartarus, he has an Etherious form that he spent most of his time in and there were little similarities in appearance. It’s possible no member of Tartarus ever saw him outside his Etherious form. The other possible explanation is that no member of Tartarus witnessed his powers and memories being sealed in the book and believed that his entire body was sealed too, thus writing off the similarities they see in Natsu as a coincidence.

As to how the sealing happened 400 years ago and Natsu was a little kid 400 years after. Well,I believe that NAtsu’s training with Igneel happened 400 years ago and that he made Natsu sleep for 400 years in which his body did not age a day. I actually believe this is the same for the other dragon slayers raised by dragons too. It would explain why Gajeel could not pass through Freed’ runes.

I hope I was able to bring clarification to anyone who was confused.
