I'm curious to know which albums you are looking forward to this year! I've already been very happy with Sohn and Bonobo but for me the absolute highlight so far is the new Thundercat album coming later this month. I can't wait! He's one of the most interesting artists out there right now imo, and the songs already available online are so freakin' cool! Yesterday I went to see @sohn play in Munich! And what a concert it was. 🤘🏽😎 His excellent band including the very talented @lovenylo played so well and the sound was awesome. The only thing that annoyed me was the usual problem at concerts - where some people seems to forget that they're at a concert... I don't know why they don't go to a bar instead if they want to talk really loud with each other! That's so rude!! 🍺😤 But anyway... This wonderful album (one of the best of the 90s IMO) is being reissued soon. I really like the fact that so much music is being made available for more people to enjoy again, but a part of me miss the thrill of finding and owning a rare original. I went to Copenhagen yesterday to see @bigthiefmusic live. Such a great concert and I really wish the best of luck to these guys. I had their album on my list of 2016 top albums and they announced yesterday that they're releasing a new album in late May/early June. I want to share something from my past... Growing up I used to be into prog metal! 😂🤘🏽And even though I really think I've outgrown the genre in many ways I still enjoy an occasional listen. Tonight I'll listen to some of these albums. Symphony X is singing something about knights and dragons right now and maybe Ayreon will tell me a story about a journey through time and space later on. 😂 Love this stuff... Of course Dream Theater will get some airtime too. I'm taking this bad boy out for a spin tonight. It's an undeniable classic, that's for sure, but for me an occasional listen is enough. 😂 There is something hauntingly beautiful about the minimalistic black cover with radio waves emitted from a dying star. Love it! And the music fits perfectly in with the ambience of the artwork. Apparently a contemporary critic wrote that it was the perfect soundtrack prior to committing suicide. 😂 I wouldn't go as far as to say that but it's definitely a dark sounding album!! 😎 #joydivision #unknownpleasures #factoryrecords #postpunk #1979

Got the new 'The XX' album yesterday and now I'm taking it for its first spin. ✌🏼My first impression is a bit mixed but there are definitely some nice songs here. I especially like the song Replica. Here in Denmark the hype has been huge and for an indie band they've spent a lot of money on public advertising in metros and busses. Exciting if they can live up to the expectations!
