Tecna redesign.

Gotta admit that she was my least favorite, in between her fashion and actitud, I could watch some episodes again to see if I still feel the same. Technomagic is a really interesting concept thou.

Since she is a bit apathetic I made her cute, I don’t know why this makes sense in my head. Might add a reblog with some rambling.

Always keeping with the basic idea that in the Magic Dimension the Earth's schedule does not exist, this also applies to movies

That said, let's throw out some titles that they might hypothetically like:

Bloom → Princess Mononoke: I dunno the exact reason why I chose it for her, it was just came to mind

Stella → The Devil Wears Prada: Miranda Priestly would become an icon for Stella

Flora → Wall•E: A cute and romantic story with an underlying eco message, perfect for Flora

Musa → Kpop Demon Hunters: I literally just finished watching it and I'm sure Musa would love it too. There's music, friendship, comedy, action, a hint of romance and this oriental yet modern setting *chef kiss*

Aisha → Take the Lead: For the meme I would have said Surf's Up 😂

Tecna → Alita Battle Angel: They would like the setting and the protagonist, maybe it would even move them. I could have been safer by saying Violet Evergarden Movie but that would have been like cheating, since the series is what inspired me to make Tecna's redesign

What their favourite shows?

Oh God, I honestly don't know how to answer. Coming from another galaxy, the programs we watch on Earth certainly don't reach the Magic Dimension, and honestly I haven't reached a level of world building such as to imagine their TV schedule 🤣

But we can make some assumptions:

For Bloom it's easy, being from Earth we have more support base. She might like crafting videos and isekai anime, it would be very funny since she will basically find herself inside one

As already mentioned, Stella likes fashion and stand-up shows, but she also likes gossip and reality shows. Maybe she even took part in one of these before meeting the other Winx, making a fool of herself in front of the whole Magic Dimension

For Flora it's a bit difficult. In my opinion on Lynphea it would be strange if there were too many technological objects. Even a simple TV would be strange on a planet looks like Pandora from Avatar mixed with Sumeru from Genshin Impact. Maybe she might like documentaries?

Musa might like musicals and talent shows, very simple. Maybe even comedy movies, why not?

For Aisha I believe she was never allowed to watch the Magic Dimension's equivalent of the television, having always been raised to be the perfect princess. They would never have allowed her to "waste time" with such frivolous things, perhaps even holding up Stella as a "negative example" of a princess who has been blinded by fame and who doesn't take her role seriously. Which is absolutely not true, but after all, what does King Teredor know about Stella? That said, if Aisha ever sees Earth TV she would love Bear Grylls' survival show 🤣

Tecna also faces a similar problem to Aisha. They have lived most of their life on Zenith studying and improving their mental and magical abilities. Maybe they would like TV quizzes, it would be very easy for them to answer all the questions. And like Aisha, if they ever had to watch Earth TV they would like Star Trek and Doctor Who

Tecna 🧠

The cold planet of Zenith is Tecna's home. Zenithians always put brain before heart, their actions are always calculated. Probably because of this detachment from feelings, the magical population is drastically dropping. Very few children manifest magic in their soul and Tecna is one of them.

Her stubbornness and curiosity will make her take a huge step and leave her planet, to study a way to bring magic back to Zenithians, and maybe learn everything she can about those feelings she was always told to ignore.

Tecna has a selective character regarding friendships and tends to keep at a distance from other human beings. She has very few but very close friends

she understands the binary language of computers and can communicate with everything that works with electricity

her memory has no equal, she keeps an infinite amount of information in her "mental palace"

many people would define Tecna as a cynical person, in reality she simply has a hard time expressing her emotions

she is a skilled strategist and this will make her bond a lot with Bloom, who will often involve her (together with other fairies) in long D&D campaigns

like Linphea, Zenith also does not have a monarchy but a system of 57 self-sufficient city-states that each year hold a world council to define the situation of the planet

when she's in her fairy form, her hair can "connect" to any technological device, like a sort of cable

she immediately bonds with Timmy and their relationship is probably the most stable of the group

for her design I mixed up her first design in Magic Bloom and her Winx form. You can also see on her suit some decorations that resemble a doll's joints

Their favourite hobby? 🤔

Bloom likes to draw and DIY, in fact she likes to personalize her clothes and personal objects as much as possible using her art. I could also see her being a bit of a nerd and doing cosplay 🤔

Stella obviously loves fashion in all its forms. She loves shopping, reading fashion magazines, going to fashion shows and even making clothes with her own hands. A hobby that she and Bloom have in common, with her doing cosplay. A little hidden hobby of hers is liking stand up comedy, but she hides it because she believes that being a princess such a "guilty pleasure" could make her less qualified

Flora obviously loves taking care of her plants and studying, not just reading. She shares with her parents the desire to know more, to understand more. She also enjoys creating jewelry, a passion that she has passed on to her little sister Miele

Musa loves to play and sing but also to compose music. Let's say that she embodies her parents' total passion for music. Ho-Boe playing, her mother singing and she, in particular, composing music. She particularly dreams of opening a studio to record music and discover new talents. With Tecna she shares the desire to research new technologies, especially in her field. She doesn't like to do "old-fashioned" music very much

Aisha lived particularly protected by her parents, especially her father, and her passion for sports in general seems to have been a consequence of his desire to want always the best from her and to always want her to remain safe. She has been subjected to very tough training both physically and in etiquette training to become the perfect princess. Although this routine has always been tiring for her, over time she began to take certain moments of those combat trainings (physical and magical) for herself, to be able to vent all her frustration. Her only moments of leisure were spent with her cousin Tressa and her lady-in-waiting (and best friend) Anne. Thanks to her she developed a passion for dancing, another way to release all her energy and anger. Unfortunately, because of this "un-princessly" hobby, Aisha's father banished Anne from the court of Andros when he discovered them secretly dancing together *insert bisexual reading sublevel for this scene*. Anyway, apart from dancing she also likes: swimming, surfing and climbing (with all the times she sneaked out of her castle's tower)

Before arriving at Alfea Tecna had no particular hobbies. As already explained in this master post on Zenith everything that is fun and entertainment is considered useless. They have always lived with the aim of excelling over others so, like Aisha, they have been subjected all their life to: magic trainings, exercises to further develop their intelligence and logic... and sometimes even experiments. The two prosthetic arms they wear were made by their parents as they were born without them. They continued to improve them for them for years, always looking for new ways to synaptically connect their child's mind with their robotic arms. Both to allow Tecna to live a better life but also spurred on by the constant pressure from King Cryos and the rest Titania Council. With Tecna's arrival at Alfea, they finally begin to have a semblance of a normal life. They begin to have some friendships: in particular with a boy from Red Fountain, Timmy, who will introduce them to their new passions: video games and RPGs.

Aisha 🌊

Aisha, one of the two princesses of Andros, a planet made of 90% of water. Since she was a child, Aisha has been taught good manners and royal etiquette. She's a hard worker and speaks several languages, but also found the time to learn how to express herself through her favorite thing in the world: dancing, the only thing that makes her feel free from that gold cage that is her role in the society. Aisha is also a master in combat, she was followed by many masters in her childhood and knows many combat styles.

The life on Andros, tho, is suffocating and she wants to explore Magix. That's why she decides to take part of a diplomatic mission on a distant planet, that will led her to meet some familiar fairies.

Aisha is the fairy of water in every form and yes, this pisses off Icy (a lot). Her magic style is very physical, mostly inspired by Katara's waterbending

she's half mermaid and, as all the chimera-fairies, she has some very particular abilities: she can hold her breath for almost an hour, her eyes see very well in the dark and her wings are made of a particular membrane that can be fold up completely against her body to allow her to swim with more agility

to communicate with mermaids, who use ultrasounds, she learnt sign languages, like all the people living on Andros

Aisha's father and the mermaid queen are blood siblings. On Andros there are two royal families, one living on the ground and one living in the ocean

of all the Winx she's the strongest, physically speaking, which will cause Stella's envy. The two will learn to bond through physical exercise, giving each other advices

Aisha arrives at Alfea in the middle of the year and quickly becomes one of the school's brightest students and one of the most popular girls. She's particularly loved by younger students who see in her an older sister figure

through a specific spell she can turn her legs into a mermaid tail for as long as necessary, even forever if she would

Aisha's father arranged for her a marriage with one of Andros' most distinguished bachelors: Nabu. Initially opposed to it, she takes some time to get to know the guy who turns out to be a very nice boy. Who knows if something will start to groow between them

Aisha has a great relationship with all the Winx but has a particular bonding with Musa, they both love to dance and she will get into the habit of going out with them (Musa uses they/them pronouns) to go dancing at the disco

Aisha's design is inspired by her original design inside the series, of course, but also is inspired by diving suits and fishing nets

Stella ✨

Stella is a princess and as such she followed lessons in good manners and posture since she was a child, but also accompanied with a study in martial arts. The princess of Solaria is also a fashion lover, after her parents' divorce, she really got into fashion design as escapism from reality, many of her dresses and jewels are modeled over her ideas.

After failing her first year at Alfea, her parents threatened to give her private lessons, thus taking away all her freedom. Reluctantly, Stella is about to repeat the year again, until a wrong spell will start an unexpected adventure…

Random facts:

Stella's scepter is actually a real weapon and can be used to open magical portals to other dimensions, but this skill requires years of study. The scepter is an ancient relic, used to fight against dark enemies many years ago

ADHD is the way, she's extremely messy and her brain is always blasting three songs at the same time while starting a new project every 5 minutes

she isn't lazy or anything, she's just too hyperfocused on the "wrong" topics

Stella's powers evolve around light itself and her magic can be "charged" by the presence of stars, moons and in general cosmic energy

she makes friends instantly, or well, she decides that she is now your best friend

Stella's extremely competitive and this will cause some problems with Aisha, who's a princess too and an equally good athlete

her outfit is strongly inspired by her princess dress worn in the first ever episode of the series and, of course, it's also inspired by her fairy outfit from the pilot

Flora 🌸

As a child, during a traditional festival on Linphea, Flora got lost in the crowd. She couldn't see her mothers, nor her sister, she felt hopeless. Until she got an unusual help: the Tree of Life, the most important magical being on the planet, gently picked her up, so she could see where her family was from above.

From that day, Flora is considered a sort of celebrity on Linphea, cause she was the first ever being who was able to speak with the Tree of Life in 1500 years.

Flora is very reserved and has a hard time opening up to people

she can understand plants and speak to them

a prodigy of magical arts because of her close link with nature. She's also extremely shy so she spends a lot of time far away from people, studying, with only her plants as company. She's one year ahead of her classmates

Flora loves reading horror and mystery books and she's one of those girls who watches documentaries on serial killers to relax

she also has a small podcast explaining how to take care of plants

succulents are her favorite plants

she has no royal blood, since on Linphea there is no monarchy, but her presence is extremely important for the survival of the planet itself thanks to her connection with the Tree of Life

at night she struggles to fall asleep. That's why she sleeps surrounded by plants: their whispers help her to relax

Flora doesn't like physical contact with people she doesn't know and in fact she gets along poorly with Stella at the beginning

Bloom 🔥

Bloom's story starts around 1500 years ago, when the three Ancestral Witches destroyed her planet, Domino. Before dying, Daphne, her sister and Domino's nymph, saved Bloom, entrusting her to Morgana, leader of the fairies on the planet Earth. After killing Daphne, the Ancestral Witches went after Morgana, but Merlin, the Earth's nymph, separated the kingdom of Albion and the human world, basically trapping Earth in a sort of limb, so the Witches couldn't reach them. This also cut the Earth out of the magical dimension and created a distortion in the timeline.

15 years later, Bloom lives in Gardenia, Italy, with her new parents: Michele (or Mike) and Vanessa, she doesn't know about her true power, but the veil that separates Earth from the rest of the magical dimension is starting to disappear. This leds her to a peculiar encounter that will forever change her life.

Bloom's real name is Bronwen, she was nicknamed Bloom by Daphne

as a fairy from Domino, she is partially a dragon. Bloom's a chimera-fairy, a special type of fairies that doesn't look entirely human, in fact she has horns (in the Enchantix version), dragon claws and a very thick skin. She can breathe fire even when she's not transformed. She can also talk to dragons

she loves art, she draws mostly fantasy OCs and her favorite artists are Brian Froud, Loputyn, Paolo Barbieri and Anne Stokes

Bloom loves watching movies where there's a lot of handcrafted special effects for example Jim Henson and Guillermo del Toro's films, she also has a passion for stop motion movies

Bloom LOVES playing D&D, a passion that also infects Tecna and some other fairies in the dormitory

she prefers wearing and customize second hand/vintage clothes

Bloom loves braiding her hair and can spend hours doing all sort of different styles

she always has her head in the clouds, she often forgets to do her homeworks, in fact she doesn't excel in any subject but always gets away with it in the end

Kiko's real name is Cedric and is a guardian animal of Domino, who turned into a rabbit to watch over her. His real appearence is unknown for now, since to unlock his real power he has to return to Domino

Two questions:

Will the fairies of Earth have a different magic system since Earth is not part of the magic dimension and not connected to the Dragon's Flame or the Great Dragon?

Will Selina's legendarium still be more connected to fairy tales and Earth stories, or will it be more connected to things like folklore, legends, or perhaps the mythology of the planets in the magic dimension? I always felt like the legendarium could have been a great chance for worldbuilding and fleshing out the planets of the magic dimension, especially since Trix are actively traveling to different magic schools on other planets.

In my rewrite the so-called "Earth Fairies" are nothing more than a group of fairies from the Magic Dimension who settled on Earth (which is NOT in the Magic Dimension and has no magic of any kind) centuries ago to try to teach humans magic and the connection with nature Roxy's mother, Aiyana, was one of those. She fell so in love with humans that she never wanted to leave Earth (did someone say Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond? 😗)

As for the Legendarium: since it is an artifact that belonged to the Three Ancestral Witches, in my rewrite it could be a book that contains formulas to summon creatures or spirits from any folklore, both from the Magical Dimension and from Earth? 🤔 (a bit like in the episode 10 final battle of Jentry Chau VS the Underworld #justiceforKit ✊🏻)

So since the other fairy forms after Enchantix aren't in your au how this affect your rewritten verisons of seasons 4-7, particluarly seasons 4 and 6 since Roxy and Selina are still around?

Narratively it doesn't change much, it's not like transformations like Belivix and Mytix are indispensable in my rewrite I will change a lot of things about the two characters, that's for sure:

Roxy's mother will be completely turned upside down and so will the whole Earth Fairies subplot (but I'll talk about this better in the next post)

While for Selina I would like to link her more to the Ancestral Witches rather than to that guy with the hood from season 6. He's so anonymous that I don't even remember his name. During Bloom's third (or fourth I have yet to decide) year at Alfea, Selina finds the Legendarium in an old antique shop in Gardenia. She begins to study this ancient tome which came from the Magical Dimension and belonged to the three Ancestral Witches themselves. The Witches, still searching for the Dragon Flame, grant Selina witch powers through the book in exchange for her help in defeating Bloom.
