*grips your shoulders* i need you to realize silcos manipulation of jinx wasn’t because he wanted her as a weapon but stemmed from his own trauma of being abandoned. we hear him say things like “everyone abandons US, i’m all you have i was there when no one else was” he’s projecting jinx is all HE has the only person in years he genuinely let get close to him he wants to be the rock he never had and he’s not doing good but he thinks he is because what he’s telling jinx is what he told himself is needed to survive. yes having jinx on the other side wouldn’t be great for work purposes but that’s not his priority with her. he takes advantage of jinxs fear of being replaced by caitlyn because HES afraid he’ll be replaced by vi. he’s enabling jinx in a way that’s detrimental to her but he thinks it’s necessary because he thinks turning himself into the way he is was crucial to his survival. we as the audience know he’s doing a bad job raising jinx but that’s bc we live in a different world in different circumstances and have the full perspective of everyone else’s stories while silco genuinely thinks he’s doing what’s right for jinx. i need. i need you all to understand that.

Jinx wearing Silco's clothes. Both platonically (she run out of clean clothes, she's fresh out of shower and needs something to wear) and romantically (they had sex and she wears it after their intimacy; it smells like him, and she likes wearing something that is his).

Ironically, the it smells like him reason can be both used platonically and romantically. One might think it's weird, but when they lose a parent/partner/close friend, they suddenly understand. The person is gone but the smell lingers for a while before it's gone forever.

Plus, Jinx might still wear Silco's clothes when she misses him and he's out of reach (busy and away on a business trip, for example).

that absolutely unrealistic canonical alternative universe where Jinx (Powder?) is so in love with Silco, and she sneaks around with Silco right under Vander's nose. it's not that she's underage and can't decide for herself (she's an adult and she can), it's that Vander just wouldn't understand. and Silco is smitten with her. it's giggly laughs, smiles, soft kisses, hand holding. when they dance together, the chemistry is off charts.

and while Silco agrees to dance with her a couple of times on several occasions (during daylight—Jinx is bored and it's a slow day, she baits him for that dance, she laughs and smiles as they dance; in the evening, when the bar is about to close for the night, and Vander has already started cleaning the glasses before he announces that the bar closes. Silco and Jinx aren't the only ones Clow dancing, there are several more couples—it's not a rare occuranve, so barely anyone gives them a funny look). Silco is relaxed, but he still controls the situation—they keep it casual. platonic. innocent. almost parental. the people bar patrons are used to that old man dancing with that daughter. gossip is, he's been raising her with Vander, and people kind of go with it.

but then Jinx decides that enough is enough and one evening, in the heat of her feelings, she jumps on Silco, wrapping her legs around his waist and he catches her by her butt by impulse, a reflex—because she's done it so many times that it's familiar. routine almost. she kisses him on the dance floor and he's not quick enough to stop his own reaction. he's shocked, yet he doesn't push her away. granted, it's dark and the disco lights let them have it, but people still see it, and people aren't ready—such a big age difference. so unexpected. they thought they were supposed to be a dad and his daughter?

but Silco is in love with her and he relaxes again and melts into the kiss. he tried to resist for the longest time, he tried to keep it quiet, behind the closed doors, but if she wants to come out like this, so be it. he'll let her have it. he'd follow her through hell and back, just so to know that she's happy and safe.

the name bombshark is rarely used (and isn't even a tag on my blog), but it's such an accurate and beautiful description of Jinx a d Silco? he's a shark in Zaun and he's presented as such. we even see an actual shark behind that window in act 1 while he's being introduced to us and is all Evil and Mysterious. Jinx's all about bombs and dangerous trinkets, and, just like Vi predicted, Jinx eventually makes it work, and with Vander's "death" Jinx is born.

and Silco gave her the means and the place and the space to master all her weapons. to try out new bombs, weapons, any dangerous and inventive stuff she likes and might want to try and create.

she's also a little shark like him—she tries to stalk her prey, she's dangerous af, but she's also quick to fuse and mentally unstable. one wrong move and she blows up.

while Silco is very calculated in his actions and it takes a while for him to attack (and he does so when he's sure, it's not on an impulse)—just like a shark would observe, stalk, and circle its prey.

like. I will continue using the jilco tag for my blog, but bombshark is truly them. (I also feel like it was invented by a girl on twitter during s1? she started posting her art calling them that name and people picked up? I watched it unfold in real life time, but I'm not sure if she was *the* first one to use that name.)

Maybe this will help Vi to see Vander in a different light. At least Silco never hid behind a good facade. He was awful & people knew that. And loved him for that.

That's an interesting turn of events. It's curious that she still cares so much about Vander. Though, maybe it's logical, since the problem wasn't really Vander but Vi. I wonder how much Jinx knows about what Vander did to Silco. She wasn't much fazed by the letter, so he might've told her the story. The amount of details he gave her is a mystery though.

I need Vander or Silco to hug her tightly. She's just a young woman that's been through way too much.
