Contextualisation/Backstory :
L'ambiance de la taverne était joyeusement échauffée par les lumières des flammèches qui dansaient bien haut, au dessus des têtes, sur les minuscules scènes que leur offraient les lustres de plomb, et les amicaux bras de fer arrosés de breuvage d'une table à l'autre. La cacophonie des chopes les unes contre les autres mêlée aux rires n'annonçaient point tristement la gueule de bois du lendemain qui frapperait impitoyablement. Et il eut fallut être un diable de rabat joie - ou, bien solitaire - pour rester de marbre à la débauche qu'invitait l'air festif de cette nuit là. Car, après tout, c'était le genre de soirée qui appelait à une trêve tacite. On décidait d'oublier, rien que pour une nuit, la haine et les misères du monde. Les Hommes chantaient pour accompagner un groupe de Nains qui s'essayait au percussions d'un bard d'Ogre. Celui-ci riant de manière communicative alors qu'il racontait son dernier voyage à une bande de Gobelins, dont les verres s'empressait de se vider afin de ne rien en avoir manqué lorsque que l'aube les enchainerait de nouveau à leurs chantiers. On aperçu, de temps en temps, des silhouettes claires tendre une main pour un lambeau de quelque nourriture qu'on avait oublié sur une table puis s'évaporer, telles les contes populaires décrivait les Changelins se gardant des regards d'autrui. La température extérieure était bien en deçà d'une agréable soirée de printemps, pourtant la joie éphémère et les corps en carnaval qui battait leur plein rendaient l'atmosphère euphoriquement brûlante.
I don't know if I was so patheticaly weak that night, for I know two drinks couldn't get me this drunk, or if maybe it was only an excuse to unravel it all on the poor bartender... Just play pretend I had an old friend to talk to.
"C'mon, what's it got you so blue fella?"
I remember snorting and gazing into the deep, green void of the booze.
" 'ts a pretty night isn't it..."
"As always when it's All Folks' night. Now," he switched my empty green glass for a blue filled one, "penny for ya thought? What's on yer mind kiddo?"
I wasn't sure what was in that second glass, or how was he so confident in calling me a kid, but I guess I was as lost as about everything else at that time.
"It's an old story and not a funny one." My left eyebrow raised mechanically.
"Love those. Ol' and no fun, that's all me."
Après tout quel était le mal ? Si ça se trouve tout cela n'était qu'un rêve and I was already passed out on the floor and wouldn't even be able to think hard enough to regret it the next day.
Broad daylight. The smell of worked leather and beaten iron avait envahi the wide area of grass and green.
Tents scattered all across the field added a certain activity to the scorching weather. Yet a heavy stillness seemed to weight heavily over it all, as always.
Clink. The beaten metal. The sound filling every corners by waves before disappearing. Clink. Repeatedly.
It looked hot. Didn't feel like it.

"What" the bartender stopped drying the wet glass in his hand.
"Sorry. I know Trollish isn't common." I sighed. "It's just... How I remember it. 't'feels right, y'know?..."
"Huh"
I rubbed my temples.
"I will try to say it as what it might mean in Common"
"Youthling is oversensing hennit ?"
A presence. Swift and unmovable. Warm. It was there. Wasn't going, wasn't planning, on leaving.
"What if I was ?"
Warmth. Pouring on their shoulders.
"You'd be missing out."
A scoff.
"On what? Seems like the other way round to me."
Slices of life talking.
"I'm tired. Let me rest a while."
Warmth. Clink. Calm, swift afternoon. They give in. Lean back. Stop oversensing the wild. Oversense still.
