“The Expert” Web Series

shot a short series to follow up on the original “The Expert” sketch for director Lauris Beinerts. Lots of fun to shoot and with a great crew. All 3 episodes are now live. Alexa mini, Cooke S4s, and the amazing Chapman Cobra dolly.

Was lucky enough to shoot an introductory film for Burberry’s new range of Bespoke Fragrances for Will Ellison at Burberry. We shot over several blocks in Scotland, France, London and then in studios.

Alexa Mini with Cooke S4s for exteriors and studio, and with Zeiss Ultraprimes for location interiors. Additional 16mm by Camille Summers-Valli, and drone op was Peter Keith.

Shot this teaser for Screen Northants in Northampton a few weeks ago. Screen Northants is a non profit supporting young people in and around Northampton with film based initiatives and workshops. This is the teaser for their upcoming feature adaptation of Macbeth that will shoot this summer.

First year back as a freelancer

Have had a great first year since returning to freelance work. Clients have included Amazon, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Qatar Airways, Discovery network, Westons Cider and more.

Excited about new work which will go live soon, and will be adding it to the site once out.

Qatar Airways interiors films

Shot a series of films illustrating the different interiors across the Qatar Airways fleet, now live on their website. Spent nearly a month in Doha with the Film House team.

Returning to Freelance

After 2 years working in house for Burberry in Central London, I have now returned to freelance work.

I’ve had so many great opportunities shooting for Burberry. The variation in projects has allowed me to learn an awful lot in a short time. Not just the different styles and approaches to “regular” content, but also experiences like shooting over an hour long broadcast in a partnership with Twitter’s app Periscope in LA, and getting on set with John Mathieson BSC and Sean Bobbitt BSC. Have also gained experience shooting specifically for social media platforms, and been involved with the multi camera broadcast coverage at runway shows.

Have taken a staff position at Burberry based in central London. I will be working on their commercials, films, and online and store content they produce in house as both a DoP and occasionally as Director.

"The Expert" Comedy Sketch

I shot a comedy sketch for director Lauris Beinerts a few months ago. We were aiming for a very corporate video look and the sketch was shot on a Canon DSLR. It was a really fun day and all the crew were great.

The video has taken off and gone viral with over 3 million views in 2 weeks.

A look at the Arri Amira

Currently out in Qatar for a few weeks shooting For the FIlm House. Hans Salzinger from Arri came in to the office to walk a few of us through the new Arri Amira. We were all really impressed, hope to have the chance to use it on some doco type work soon.

Shooting/Living in Raja Ampat

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to shoot material for Barefoot Conservation; a marine conservation project based in Raja Ampat, north west Indonesia over 2 months.

Working alone, I shot 2 different online adverts using the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, my Canon 7D DSLR, and GoPro Hero 3 both above and below the water.

It was a really amazing experience and I managed to get qualified as a PADI Rescue Diver. Back in London now and getting back into work in the UK.
