Nothing is better than being outside in great weather, especially while wearing shorts and flip flops (or being barefoot (which is a theme if you've read my coaching post lol)).

One of my favorite ways to get outside is to play golf. Whether it's with a ball and clubs, or with a frisbee, having a competitive objective to keep me focused, some tunes playing, and some sodas is an ideal way to pass the time. Though I am comfortable playing on my own, one of the best parts of playing is the fellowship from playing with my friends and family.

In the first photo (with the blue shorts), I am playing at a local course with one of my parents. The pose was accidental, but I enjoy the whimsical nature and how it shows off my legs. This is your reminder to never skip leg day.

In the second photo, I am playing frisbee golf with my sister's boyfriend on a family trip. The course was quite unusual, and we climbed through a lot of brush, it was a great outing overall.

TL;DR I like to play golf/folf to spend time outdoors with friends and family.

Let's talk about my profile picture. I cropped out the school, but I coach football for my local middle school. I have been coaching youth & middle school football for several years, and it has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I cherish the ability to be a positive influence in my community, and to help young men grow and develop into productive members of society.

This photo was a selfie taken before a game under the lights. These games are usually the highlights of the season, as it helps spark the dreams of playing at higher levels for most of the kids.

As a coach, I am almost exclusively a defensive coach. I have always been more defensively minded, playing cornerback, linebacker, and defensive end at various points in my football career. As a result, I have coached about every position on the defense, and I have been the primary defensive play caller. One of the things I am most well known for by the parents is that when I coach, I am usually not wearing shoes. Yes, it is strange. Something about being barefoot on the field gives me a feeling of direct connection with the game. Sometimes my feet get cold, and I often slip in the mud when I demonstrate the proper technique during drills, but to me the connection helps me to be a better coach.
