This exhibition includes works from several Portuguese collections, both public and private, some classified as National Treasures. It is a journey that takes us from the Italian Renaissance to the Portuguese School of the 19th century, reinterpreting the artistic relations between Portugal and Italy through the exhibition of unpublished works. The Italian masters are present in Portugal not only because their works are part of these collections, but also because of the inspiration that the Portuguese masters drew from getting to know their work while visiting or studying in this country. Eventually falling into disrepair, it was demolished in 1951 to make way for a Sports Pavilion, today known as the Rosa Mota Pavilion, named after the Portuguese marathon runner. The Jardim dos Sentimentos (Garden of Feelings) is a themed garden within the Palácio de Cristal Gardens complex, which consists of several gardens and spaces located at the southern end. This is, perhaps, one of the most beautiful for its location and privileged views, one of the most beautiful over the riverside area.
