Short comic practice based on Hozier’s “Arsonist’s Lullabye”

Came up with some characters just for this little practice so I haven’t thought much of them past this, but I enjoyed how it came out :)

A grouping of animal-plant illustrations :)

1st- Rubber ducky isopods, standard worm, and daisies

2nd- Milk snake and clover

3rd- Glass frog and surely some type of flower I knew what it was when initially drawn

4th- Weevils and some form of little brown mushroom

5th- Stag beetle and lily of the valley

6th- Mice and something akin to a pink prince philodendron

Haven't posted on tiktok recently but the ban has had me considering the environment I want to continue posting my art in. This one seems the most true to the spirit of my illustrations.

This is an initial concept for the fae realm in a world that I made with my partner called the Cryptidverse. Trying to balance the wackiness with trying to make it feel like a believable space is difficult; though, this illustration in particular isnt great at the space...ness.. lmao
