He found it odd that the daughter of the great Dracula would just seemingly fall right before. Wait a moment wasn’t the last time they met she was kinda floating. How in the worlds do you trip in the air? He sighed and walked up to her, hand extended.

"Howdy, see you laying on the cold hard ground. Oh. Trouble?”

       Mavis wasn't quite sure HOW        she fell so suddenly, her face and        hands meeting the hard cold grou-        nd. All she remembered was perh-        aps taking too much time staring at        her new friend. She wasn't too sure        why, but something about him see-        med so different from any other hu-        man. Well, if you don't count the gl-        owing blue hands.

                    "Just a little," she replies sheepisly,                      taking his hand. "I should...really watch                      where I'm floating."

                     Mavis made sure not to use the word                      "humans" as it would lead to further                      suspicion. Eyes narrow slightly as she                      studied his features.

                     "You know," she began slowly. "You                      look REALLY familiar..."

     Gloved fingers    straighten the brim of a hat  that is pulled low over his sockets.                                                       [ his voice is stiff. He isn’t fond of  v a m p i r e s ]                  “— I suppose you could say that.        The name’s Skulduggery Pleasant,    Detective from the Sanctuary in Ireland.                                      And ‘m afraid I’m not here to  s t a y.”

       She senses that he isn't too        pleased with her presence.        Charcoal lips curl into a ner-        vous smile, staying polite.

                    "OH! What a shame to hear.                      You're missing out on a lot. My                      name is Mavis Dracula.

                            A pleasure to meet you Mister                             Pleasant!"
