A couple of photos from supanova
I had to do some minor last minute hot glue gun work in the hotel but Audrey II held up pretty well
I'm thinking of going to oz comic-con so I might bring Twoey for that as well
#little shop of horrors#i still need to get some footage where it's moving#it turned out surprisingly well since i've never made a puppet or worked with foam clay before#i still want to make a cast of my actually hand and fix the fake arm up a bit#and maybe get a new shirt and vest because i cut them up last minute and it could be better#also the vines broke off so they need to be replaced#supanova

IT'S FINALLY DONE!!!
Can't wait to take Audrey II out at supanova sydney this weekend
A lot of time, effort, money and ankles went into making this (The leaves in particular were a major factor in me rushing and falling down the backyard stairs)
#I can't believe it's finally done and looks so cool#the leaves were drying hanging up in the backyard but the wind blew them together and#i was like fuck they're probably stuck together and i ran down the steps and them i was on the ground#with my ankle swollen to the size of an orange#sydnova#sydney supanova#also ignore the shit on the floor and my painting clothes

New year means new cosplays and I'm gonna be more prepared this year so I don't end up hunched over the dining room table for 2 weeks straight fucking up my back
It wouldn't be as bad but smash got moved from august to early july last year so I've only got 2 weeks between supanova and smash now
#having smash move back to sydney made it easier to find a good priced hotel#i still miss rosehill gardens lots of good memories#except having to drag my luggage up 2 sets of stairs#because rosehill and clyde station don't have elevators

Faux Cuffs and Collar Tutorial
Hello everyone!
This is a tutorial to make a detached collar and (faux) French cuffs. I intended this to be for Playboy Bunny-style costumes, and that’s a good use for them, but I can see people wanting to make these for fashion purposes or other costumes, as well.
The collar is functional and buttons at the neck, and the cuffs are functional but use a snap on the inside and decorative buttons sewn to the outside to imitate the look of cufflinks. This makes them easier to deal with during a con day and makes it easier to either make custom “cufflinks” or to use what you have in your sewing stash rather than buying or attempting to make actual cufflinks.

My second attempt at foam props is going a lot better than the first time, I’m on schedule for once and I might actually finish them early instead of the night before the con

I'm pretty happy with how my vulpes cosplay for supanova turned out Especially since it was my first time working with foam and I had to rush it because I only decided to do it 2 weeks before the con I might wear it again for smash but I'm thinking of redoing the armor and ripper now I have a better idea of how to use foam
