maysilee steps lightly, boots muffled against the forest floor, one hand resting near the strap of the satchel slung across her shoulder. she pauses beneath the oak, glancing up toward the shifting branches above.

“i figured someone was out here,” her voice comes up softly, not wanting to startle the girl. “didn’t think i’d find a shadow tucked into the trees like a squirrel.” head tilts back, catching sight of the figure nestled high in the branches, a book still clutched in her hands. “didn’t mean to intrude. just… needed quiet too, i guess.” a small smile tugs at the corner of her mouth, fleeting. “that’s a good tree. solid. good choice.”

weight shifts from one foot to the other, eyes drifting upward again, more curious than expectant. “you coming down, or do i have to climb up to meet the legend of the 68th?”

Twyla lays in a tree. It's a old oak tree her favorite tree. Shes pretty high up if you weren't careful you honestly probably wouldn't even see her. She's been up in the tree for hours just enjoying to peaceful sounds of the woods around and getting away from everything and everyone for awhile. Just quietly reading a old book she found . its poems she doesn't remember where she found it for all she knows she could have just wrote them down herself. She quickly looks up hearing the soft sound of crushing leaves and breaches breaking coming towards the tree. She sits up quickly eyes fixed on place the sounds coming.
