I've only just now realized that undertale came out only 3 years before deltarune chapter 1.

Is that crazy anyone else? Maybe it's just how much deltarune is improved in so many ways, but it feels like these games should be, idk, at least 5 years apart? Nope. 3 years. Also, it probably feels weird because they really do feel like they came out in two different eras of games, specifically indie games. Or maybe it feels crazy because undertale REALLY feels like it had more time to shine before toby's next game then 3 years, and it felt like a pretty big wait wondering if there would even be a new "undertale game" after. It just feels like surely undertale was like the massive thing for longer, right? It feels like it was, but i vividly remember how much the hype had died down when deltarune was about to come out, even with the console versions of undertale being a new thing. Like. NAGGGHHHH IM SO CONFUSED????

3 years, It just. It feels so short. Too short. WAY TOO SHORT. I think something in the timeline fucked up it just doesn't make sense. Deltarune also doesn't feel like it came out in 2018. Does that feel like a 2019 game to anyone else?

If you havent noticed by the tags, spoilers for deltarune chapter 3 and 4 are ahead, especially spoilers for the final boss and secret boss of chapter 3

I've been thinking about deltarune chapter 3's secret boss more than anything, there is so much to the roaring knight's inclusion and just what they are doing that we really dont know anything.

Like, I've seen there's some dialogue that *could* imply that the knight is working with Kris, and it really would make a lot of sense, but in a game like deltarune, you really have no clue. My initial theory, when first playing chapters 3 and 4, was that maybe the reason Kris made the dark world in their house was to lure the roaring knight over to get the shadow crystal... but the idea that Kris is working with the knight makes it much less likely. Another theory is that maybe Kris wanted to work with the knight to kidnap undyne and take her to the bunker, maybe the reason they slashed the car tires was to get undyne to come? And maybe they might also be taking other characters that have disappeared for a while to the bunker too, like maybe papyrus or onionsan? (Actually, how would they even get onionsan in there?)

Now more than just why the knight is there, just who even is the knight?

The easy answer is probably dess, I've seen a bunch of pieces of evidence, and most of them are small, but I think the use of leitmotifs definitely makes the theory make a lot of sense. I've seen quite a few people say Carol, and it also would make some sense, but feels like it could be just too obvious. Ive also seen people say its gaster and like. I guess its possible. I just think it would be less interesting to not be a character that we really know. Ive also seen people say that the knight kinda has a skeleton like structure, which leads me to also think it could be sans or papyrus. The issue with that is that I just really dont think it would be in character for them. So far the most likely option I'd say is dess, although I do hope we dont already know who it is, I'd like it being a suprise.

Now, despite the fact I dont really think Sans is the knight, I absolutely believe that they have a big connection. And im not even just talking about deltarune sans, but actually specifically sans in undertale. At this point, it's decently likely that they are one in the same. How they are is a mystery, but I think that there is too much evidence, off the top of my head, I remember the tracks "its raining somewhere else" from undertale, when talking to sans in the restaurant, likely being connected to one of the tracks from the new chapters, "the place where it rained." Oddly, this seems like it maybe implies that the games are actually taking place at the same time, I mean , "ITS" raining? That is present tense, although I really have no idea if it's supposed to be anything more than just confirmation that the games universe's are connected. There's a good that it is just not saying that they take place at the same time.

Knowing that the games are connected is what really leads me to believe Sans is connected to the knight. And that belief mostly actually comes from sans and the knight's fights themselves. If you look at the fights, there are a lot of similarities between them, especially in the attacks that have you go up and down through the waves of obstacles, or the gaster blasters working just like how the knight's swords do. I wouldn't say the connection is entirely likely, solely because I feel like maybe there would be some sort of connection in the music of the boss like there was with gerson and undyne's fight music, but that also could be because toby doesn't want people to think that sans IS the knight. It could be purely coincidental, though.

I'm so excited to see where the game goes next. Also, I haven't done chapter 4's snowgrave yet, so I am absolutely missing some information

Mannnnnn I am getting annoyed with people. Specifically men. More specifically, cis men that complain about misandry. Because it's kind of hard to just completely change someone's worldview, how do you explain that "all men are bad" is mainly talking about the system and anyone that disagrees with it is supporting the patriarchy, because if you aren't actively opposing a system, you are feeding into it.

And I especially don't like anyone that goes "even me 🥺" Yes. Especially you, because you don't understand the problem at hand in the slightest and are too dense to learn.

This feels just like acab again, really. It isn't exactly the same, but it has a similar general idea, that everyone who isn't helping go against oppression is part of the problem.

Ive notably seen a lot more talk about misandry lately, and I actually do kind of hope that it continues having a sort of rise in popularity so people will actually understand what the thing that people call "misandry" really is. I know that for a lot of people this will probably take a while to really be understood, but I really hope that people do understand it, I think that the world really is moving in a better direction as time goes on, and as more people do learn the world will get better and better, and I hope that more people learning about women's oppression (which probably is something everyone should know about but shocker. A lot of people don't) will allow women to be more equal in the future. Is it unrealistic? Yeah. But I hope it happens anyways,,,
