Found this cute picrew the other day and of course, had to make my main characters in it! It was super fun trying to to make them all in it with the options it had! I don't know how it happened, but I did not mean to make Liam look so angy lol (but honestly, it kind of fits)

🧚‍♀️🧡✨️ Vera Hope Stewart-Small, Fairy Form ✨️🧡🧚‍♀️

Since I just posted the drawing officially introducing Vera as a fairy, I wanted to share the moodboard I made for her fairy form a few days ago! If you remember the concept sketch I shared several months ago(shown in this post), you may have noticed I made some changes to her outfit and wings, but I feel this form suits her better now. I know her colors may make her look like a fall/autumn-themed fairy, but I imagine her powers would be different than that(I don't know what they are yet, but I'm leaning towards love magic).

But yeah! She has a short, flowy orange high-collar/halter dress, opera-length sheer white sleeves, gold, strappy platform-wedges, gold butterfly hoop earrings, a gold triangle necklace(not specific to her fairy form, as she had it long before discovering she was one), and orange-gradient wings~

Something I've been meaning to draw for some months, to officially introduce Vera in her full fairy form(minus the slit pupils, since I forgot those), since she is one~ 🧚‍♀️🧡✨️

I hope you enjoy! :3This has been something big I've been thinking about for her character for a while, so I had a lot of fun putting this all together! :D I imagine some things might change but her character with this big update, but she is still generally the same as before, just a fairy now! ^w^

(Unrelated to her being a fairy but I decided to give her bangs(plus make her hair a little wavier), since I think she looks super cute with them and I imagine she would get inspired to get them after seeing photos of her dad when he was a kid with bangs)

She was originally born in the magic realm, a realm that was locked away from regular human society where magical beings could live in peace. She was born during a time of war and personal distress for her fairy mother, who had lost her husband and a lot of her family. Not wanting her child to grow up in such a harsh and cruel world, she placed a spell on her daughter to make her appear human, swaddled her up warmly, and place her in a basket with a blanket, orange butterfly plush, and a note that contained only her birthday and a short message. This message was brief with no identifying details, only mentioning how the baby was born a few days ago in a cruel world, the mother felt unfit to care for her and brought her here, and for whoever finds her, to take care of her last hope. She then traveled through the barrier to the human world, to the city of Poltervale, the first city she found that had such a strong magical and supernatural aura. It was a rainy day so not many were out-and-about, but she found a dry, covered spot in an alley to set her daughter in, and placed one more spell that would make her noticed by humans who could be walking by. Thankfully, a young couple were out on a walk when they heard her crying, and after investigating they discovered her. Once the fairy could determine that the couple would take care of her child, she returned to the magic realm to help put an end to the war. After a long period of a medical checkup, talking with legal officials, trying to figure out her origin and birth family, and the long adoption process, the couple welcomed her into their life as their first child, becoming parents earlier than planned but neither had it in them to leave her alone in the world again. They named her Vera, with the middle name of Hope, inspired by the note that she was found with. Vera lived most of her life believing she was a regular human, but always felt something was "off" with her. She always had such a strong connection with any winged creatures, a few uncanny abilities she could not explain, a big interest in fairies, and had quite a few times where others like her Auntie Suzie has sensed the magical energy radiating from her. It is not until her late teens that a big accident by her hands revealed her status as a fairy and wore off the glamour spell that was placed on her so long ago. She, along with everyone around her at the time was confused, even her parents as they never did find out about her origins. After a long period of searching for answers, making sense of everything that happened, and exploring her newfound form and abilities, she came to terms and was excited to be a real fairy. Still, her curiosity about her origins was never quite quenched and she still yearned for the chance to visit the magic realm someday, but until a moment like that comes, she is content using her fairy abilities for fun, help, and sometimes, a little mischief~

This isn't a super formal contest or anything, so the deadline is February 4th! But, for anyone that does enter before the deadline, they will have their entry/persona idea drawn out by me!^^

Spooksverse Persona: Jo

Like mentioned in the previous posts, here is the first of the persona ideas I drew out! This is the one I made for @spooksverse-asks, Jo! :3 I first posted this on my DA, which has a little more context to the idea if you didn't see the previous moodboard I posted here on Tumblr! Basically, this was a just-for-fun exercise I did of imagining my persona as if she were a character in each of my main three original stories(Spooksverse, The Lost Rainbow, and Hue Shifters)! I was originally going to draw all three persona ideas together, but I wanted to get the Spooksverse one done first so I can use it as an example in the challenge I am currently hosting! :D

- She is a witch, but that is not super relevant to her appearance aside from accessories and a few outfits. Her hair is a little past shoulder-length with an undercut, and dyed a darker maroon/wine red color. Her fashion style is more of a casual, punk-rock kind of style, but she does dabble in some other styles at times. The stand-out feature is that she would have more piercings, which would include all my regular ear piercings(plus an additional lobe and probably some sort of inner-ear piercing) and right eyebrow piercing, but would now include a septum piercing, and philtrum/medusa(which is one I plan to get irl in the future after I graduate college), with a possible tongue piercing too.

A junior-year student at Poltervale University, currently studying photography while working on her art and multiple novels on the side. Grew up as a very socially-awkward and anxious person, found it hard to make or keep friends throughout her life which resulted in her becoming a reserved, shut-in type. Always had an interest in fantasy, monsters, and the supernatural/paranormal, these kinds of stories brought her comfort during stressful times and became the subject of most of her art and stories. When she was a senior in high school she became acquainted with four freshmen who, while they did not talk as much throughout the year, became some of her closest friends. As she is older she is seen as a "big sister" figure to them and often offers them some insight of things or happenings around town that they are not aware of themselves. As she is in the later years of her college career she is experiencing high burnout and exhaustion but is still pushing through in hopes of finishing her degree on time, and is finding small ways to cope with the stress of everything such as studying more of the ways of witchcraft. While she only talks with her old friends occasionally nowadays, she is very supportive of their hunts and is always willing to help out anyway she can, whether that's acting as an older chaperone if they need one in restricted areas, or offering any information she has pertaining to cases.

Persona Ideas: Jo- Spooksverse

Last July I made this just-for-fun exploration of taking me/my persona, and imagining what she would be like as a character in each of my three main stories(Spooksverse, The Lost Rainbow, and Hue Shifters)! :3 Originally just did the descriptions, before I made moodboards last week to further explore their styles and get some more inspiration for when I eventually draw them all out!

So starting up, here is the board for the persona I made for @spooksverse-asks, Jo! More notes for her are included below^^

I made these moodboards/compilation-type things for the main characters for @thelostrainbowthenovel, and I wanted to do the same thing for my main Spooksverse characters1 Starting with the resident goth girlie, Shadow~

Finally got these guys' official refs done(technically finished this the other day, but didn't have time to upload before work)! :D After first sketching their concepts a few months ago(minus Zaira, who was already made), I finally got around to figuring out everyone's colors and especially in the boys' cases, their personalities and such!

- Zaira Oldest child and daughter of Mai and Callum. She's a kind of awkward and nerdy girl, but she is very passionate with a big heart and energetic nature when she's in her element. She has some slight healing powers as inherited from her dad, Callum, though is nowhere near his level of power. In terms of regular talent though she can play the saxophone, specifically tenor sax, as she's a pretty prominent member of her school's marching, wind ensemble, and jazz bands. Despite her more Chinese heritage, even if she herself is only a 1/4 Chinese, she's actually a huge fan of Japanese culture. She's a bit of an otaku in that aspect, having gone to quite a few anime and cosplay conventions, with her favorite manga/anime being Sailor Moon. Aside from her siblings she is quite close with her cousins too, especially Vera as they have similar interests in magical girl and romance animes and often go to conventions together. - Hannah Second child and daughter of Mai and Callum. She is a kind-hearted and total firecracker of a girl, who always tries to help out with any problems but tends to get in more trouble with her reckless nature and random powers. These powers are inherited from Callum, being luck-based but more random, with her also being able to summon things that can be helpful in whatever situations she is in. She is a very outgoing and honest person, always up for a fun adventure, but she is not without her own insecurities. As a younger child a lot of them were centered around her dyslexia, as she had a lot of reading and learning difficulties that made it hard for her to feel like she was on an even learning field with her peers. Though she has received plenty of tutoring and help since her diagnosis to perform better than she had before, there are still moments where she struggles and feels like she can't measure up to her classmates' levels. - Porter Third child and oldest son of Mai and Callum. The only child seemingly without any sort of powers, but he tries not to dwell on that fact too much. Comes off as the most responsible and "sane" one of his siblings, often acting as the voice of reason that tries to pull them back when they go to far with something. Generally regarded as a good, studious "golden child" by his peers and adults alike, but truth be told he has a quiet wild and rebellious side deep down. Always bottles up his more negative feelings inside, causing him to come off as quite scary when he finally does unleash his emotions. Gets along greatly with his "Aunt" Alana, as she also knows what he goes through is like and often encourages him to just be his own best self. Perpetually exasperated by his cousin Korey's antics, often having to calm himself from starting a fight when all the cousins are hanging out together. - Westley "Wes" Youngest child and son of Mai and Callum. Being the youngest in the family and quite sickly as a child, he was often coddled growing up which has caused him to become quite an anxious young lad. He is more of a people-pleaser and always craves other peoples' approval, becoming so stressed out when things aren't going good and often forgets to advocate for his own interests. He has learned overtime how to relax and take care of himself, primarily getting a lot of his thoughts out through journaling and creative writing. He has inherited his mom's love-sensing abilities, having a fine-tuned and almost psychic ability to know when love is around or notice the slightest of change in someone's love. Often gets roped into shenanigans with his sisters as they try to use their powers together to help people, and his cousin Vera as she finds his useful for her match-making. Ironically for him, despite have love powers he has no interested in romance for himself, identifying as ace.

Probably the last witch and art piece in general I will be drawing this month, this being Artemis, a cosmic and gray witch~

Just like their mama Shadow, Artemis has taken to witchcraft in their teen years, studying both cosmic/celestial magic and gray magic. They are not as big into the craft as their mom or grandparents, but they still enjoy practicing their magic and all the different spells and such they can learn. Influenced by their other mama Suzie, they are very fashionable and a little extra when it comes to their witch outfits, going all-out with the cosmic/starry aesthetic~ ✨️

Since it is October, I wanted to draw more of my witch characters(from all my different stories/universes) to help give off the spooky vibes~ :3 This is the second witch I have drawn(the first is on my @winxngasks blog) for the month, with this being Mai Small, a crystal and love witch~

So for Mai, she has always been a big nerd for fantasy stories and magic, and always found the witch aesthetic cool but never pursued it much throughout her life. Later as an adult and after she gets to know Callum more she becomes more interested in the idea of gaining her own magic, especially after seeing how own healing and fortune powers(though he is not a witch himself). Once she feels ready she goes to the Blacksons' witchcraft shop for some advice and tools to help her start her journey as a witch, and from there she starts to learn all sorts of new spells, with her beau by her side to support her. While always having a general interest in magic she ends up primarily studying in the fields of crystal and love magic. She studies crystals for their healing properties(which would allow her to work with Callum using their different forms of healing magic), and love magic because of her side work in match-making, though also familial love magic too due to her strong connection for her family and her love for children~ <3

I hope you enjoy! :D This one was super fun to draw, not only because Mai is so pretty(and the outfit she is wearing is based on this super cute one I found), but because I got to draw her in warmer colors for once which I think she pulls off fairly well~ ^w^

Since the next redesigns/revamps I want to do are for the "third" group, I used the picrew I made some of my other characters in to help figure out their new concepts!

They all get the usual different outfits and slightly different haircuts, but they have a few additional changes too. For Izzy, she would get only a slight haircut that is still noticeable, wearing it mostly down now but sometimes in simple ponytails or braids. She would get an extra ear piercing, and would wear her boyfriend's varsity jacket/sweatshirts a lot(since she finds it fun and he finds it attractive). For Blaise, he gets a new scar across his nose, gained from a parkour stunt gone wrong one day. His hair gets a tad longer, his style gets more casual/athleisure, and I might give him extra ear piercings, but I'm not completely sure yet. For Oakley, he mianly just gets a slightly shorter haircut and a new outfit, but not much will change for him. Finally for Serena, I'm still thinking about her hair-length but I'm leaning a little more towards giving her longer hair. She also gets new purple glasses(since it's her secret favorite color, and I want her to embrace it more in this new design), new outfit, her signature headphones, and some sort of witchcraft aesthetic with her design, but I'm not sure what details to add yet.

But yeah, those are my ideas so far! These picrews were just used to generate ideas and will not be the exact same designs when I actually get around to drawing them, but I feel this is a good basis for them for now. I'm not sure when I will get around to them exactly, but I'm hoping for sometime this fall season!

Future Timeline: Relationship Statuses Part 1

Sooo this was something I started(originally on a different post) back in 2020, that I meant to finish but never did. Essentially, I was going to take all the main ships and write descriptions on how their futures would go, both in terms of how they develop/mature as couples and also if they would have any children. Since I only ended up writing for three couples and since a lot of my ideas and such has changed since then, I thought I would just make a new post. I won't be doing such long descriptions like I was going to do originally, but I will still write decent-size ones for each couple.

As this post is labeled "Part 1", there will be a Part 2 with the minor ships, as this post focuses on the main ships and/or characters I had the clearest ideas for. But yeah, I hope you enjoy! :3

- Shadow and Suzie Blackson

During the summer after graduating high school they got an apartment together, and soon began working on their respective careers. Suzie went to college to major in fashion design, while Shadow stayed working at her father's shop, getting a start on her writing career and also taking art and magic commissions on the side for an extra source of income. Despite both wanting to get married as soon as possible, they knew it would be better to wait so they decided to get married after Suzie graduated from college. There was not a formal engagement, as they both mutually talked about it and only got properly 'engaged' when they went to a jewelry store to pick out their rings together. They get married at the age of 23, with Suzie taking her wife's last name, and eventually move into a bigger house when they start building their family. They end up having four biological children together using Shadow's spellbook, named Chloe(when they're 25), Artemis(when they are 26), Sirius(when they are 29), and Willow(when they are 32). Suzie works as a fashion designer while Shadow works as both an author and freelance artist, while still offering her witch services on the side.

- Kyle and Liam Stewart-Small

After graduating from high school they both stay at their respective family homes, but spend most of their time at the other's when they can. Liam goes to college to get an associate's degree in business management, while Kyle initially starts off doing an internship at his mother's company, as he was not sure what he wanted to do at first. After about half a year he realized it was not quite what he wanted, and as he always had an interest in photography, he decided to apply to college for the next academic year as a photography major so he could get a degree. When they are 20 they make the next step to move into their own apartment together, where their relationship really thrives as they enjoy their freedom together. They get married at the age of 22-23, where they both kind of planned to propose to the other at the same time but were just excited to take this big step in life together. Both had strong attachments to their respective surnames for different reasons, so not wanting to choose between them they decided to hyphenate them together. They eventually move into a bigger house and end up having three children together, first an adopted daughter named Vera(when they were 24), then biological twin sons using Shadow's spellbook and a surrogate(when they are 28). Kyle works as a freelance photographer while also playing on a local golf team, and Liam works as the store manager at one of Small Electronics' main/biggest stores, before he eventually takes over his parents' positions in the company later on in life.

- Jenny and Eve Adams

They don't become an official couple till a couple of years after they graduated high school. Neither meant to wait that long to make a move, but they were mainly focusing on becoming closer as friends before the opportunity to become something more came along. Their confession was mutual and heartfelt, first coming from Jenny before Eve shared her own feelings right afterwards. They dated for a few years, taking things slow with their relationship but still becoming closer everyday. After their careers were established, a preschool teacher for Jenny and an auto/motor vehicle mechanic(prioritizing motor cycles) for Eve, they finally moved into their own place together. It is during this move-in time that Eve proposes to Jenny, knowing that she wants to have her by her side for the rest of her life. Jenny was full of emotions when she said yes, and their wedding happens when they are 24-25, with Eve taking her wife's surname, as she was more than eager to stop using her birth name(it being a painful reminder of her broken childhood). They eventually go on to have two sons together, their first coming along when they are 27, and their second(Ethan) coming along when they are 29-30.

- Andrew Winston and Clara Mondel

These two continue to be on-and-off in terms of their dating status for years, though it is not because of any problems between the two. Andrew's depression often gets in the way and causes him to feel insecure about their relationship, so they often take breaks from seeing each other romantically during these periods, but they do still hold a lot of love for the other no matter what. When they are 29/30 they accidentally have a daughter together, with them choosing to split custody over her. They still never permanently stay together or get married, but they have figured out how to make their situation comfortable and work for them. Both continue their respective careers(Andrew as a mechanic and Clara as an English teacher), but eventually Clara gets pulled into fulfilling more of her duties as an angel.

- Ashley Evans

Ashley and her boyfriend get married at 24, as they have been together for 5 years by that point and wanted to take that next big step in their lives. Ashley takes her husband's surname upon marriage(which is TBD, as I still need to work on him), and they welcome their first child, a baby boy, into their lives when they are 25. They go on to have two more children, two daughters one at the age of 28, and the other at the age of 31. After moving into a bigger house, Ashley also eventually opens her own mini salon, as she wanted to branch out and start her own cosmetology business.
