i know and it was the best day ever. mostly because it just meant that your parents really liked me and that's all i could have wanted. it was different meeting them as your girlfriend than your best friend, you know? i feel like i'm about to explode any second. as uncomfortable as i am . . . i'm still loving this. now we just enjoy the days until we become a family of three. just in time for the new season.

baby girl, you were the favorite the second i brought you to meet my folks for the first time. i know, i know! we're just weeks or even days away from our little mini being here. we've officially got things in order too so, we can breathe a little more, you know? a dream come true, my love. i wouldn't ever wanna do this with anyone else.

crashing all your boys' parade when i became your parents' favorite. not sorry about it, baby. ugh i know. every time i blink the baby's that much closer to being here. i almost want to press fast forward so they can be here with us already. i'm dying to meet them so bad. only took us a few tries to finally get here and i've never been more happy in my life, babe. getting to do all of this life stuff with you is literally a dream come true for me.

stop, i'm obsessed. that's going to be the cutest damn thing. that kid's probably going to be more decked out and ready for the season than some grown people. do you know what you're having or is it a secret/gender reveal in the future type thing?

Good, I'm glad you're getting all the rest you can. I'm sure your body really appreciates it too. We are! Baby McCaffrey's gonna be here in a matter of days or weeks and we're just putting the final touches on everything while we can.

you simply existed and boom, you were the favorite as you should be. time just isn't real, baby, this goes to show that. but i'm so ready to see you in mom mode and begin to really navigate this next chapter for us. it all feels like it's happening when it should be, you know?

her favorite child and i didn't even have to do anything. i love this for me. it's so weird that we just blinked and baby mccaffrey's gonna be with us. really feels like just yesterday i was scrambling to get a bunch of dad things so i could surprise you when you got home. now we're gonna get to hold them in just a few weeks.

it's been a hot minute but you can blame getting the final touches on things before baby mccaffrey gets here on that. what've you been busy with as of late?

you know she's gonna be happy as hell hearing that coming from you, the daughter she never had. we're not that far off now..a few weeks at most. isn't it insane how fast time's flown by, baby?

you should just send your mom anyways because i love hanging out with her. it's going to be the best time of our lives, baby. the closer baby mccaffrey gets, the more i want to cry. like . . . this is literally all i've ever dreamt of for us.

a solid 11, definitely. we've gotten so many cute baby things from the niners staff, including jerseys. our kid's gonna be so decked out by the time the season rolls around.

i would've sent my mom to be with you if they weren't able to come because the last thing i wanted was for you to be alone in the house. shit, you and me both baby girl. i think taking these last few months to get my shit together and back on track helped so much.

ugh me too. being away from you while we were trying to get the north carolina house situated was the worst. i think if my brother and sister hadn't been there with me i would have lost my damn marbles. but you know what? i'm really excited for the season to start back up again.
