Easy Daily Offering for Aphrodite
You’ll need this stuff: Paper, pen, scissors, a jar, a lighter/matches, some time and a fireproof container.
You’ll do this stuff: On your paper, write down words you like, or words that make you think of Her. Space them apart, because you’ll be cutting them out later. Alternately, you could go with concepts, such as “A rising sun” or “The first sip of coffee.” Whatever vibes with you.
Cut them out and use a pencil to roll them up. Trust me, once you get the hang of it, they’ll look super cute. Put them all in a jar. Fill them up with that loving Aphrodite feel.
Every day after this, take out one roll. Read it, feel it, tell Aphrodite why you chose this word or concept if you want, then burn it to send it to her!
(You could probably do this for a different deity - you know yours best.)

Honestly its weird how many people don’t realize that the gods are frightening, and if you expect some sort of direct contact, spiritual or otherwise, you should expect there to be some level of terror.

SIGNS AS GREEK GODS - SAGITTARIUS
“Hear me, Zeus’ son, blest Bakkhos, God of wine, born of two mothers, honoured and divine; Lysios Euios Bakkhos (Lysius Evius Bacchus), various-named, of gods the offspring, secret, holy, famed. Fertile and nourishing, whose liberal care augments the fruit that banishes despair.”
Dionysus is the god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine, of ritual madness, fertility, theatre and religious ecstasy in Greek mythology. Alcohol, especially wine, played an important role in Greek culture, with Dionysus being an important reason for this life style. He is a god of epiphany, and his "foreignness” as an arriving outsider-god may be inherent and essential to his cults. Dionysus was the last god to be accepted into Mount Olympus. He was the youngest, and the only one to have a mortal mother.
The earliest images of Dionysus show a mature male, bearded and robed. He holds a fennel staff, tipped with a pine-cone and known as a thyrsus. Later images show him as a beardless, sensuous, naked or half-naked androgynous youth: the literature describes him as womanly or “man-womanish”. In its fully developed form, his central cult imagery shows his triumphant, disorderly arrival or return, as if from some place beyond the borders of the known and civilized. The god himself is drawn in a chariot, usually by exotic beasts such as lions or tigers, and is sometimes attended by Silenus.
His mother was a mortal woman, Semele, and his father was Zeus, the king of the gods. Appearing as a nurse, Hera befriended Semele, who confided in her that Zeus was the father. Hera pretended not to believe her. Curious, Semele demanded of Zeus that he reveal himself in all his glory as proof of his godhood. Though Zeus begged her not to ask this, she persisted and he agreed. Mortals, however, could not look upon an undisguised god without dying, and she perished in the ensuing blaze. Zeus rescued the unborn Dionysus by sewing him into his thigh.

30 days of aphrodite, days 9-15
(me, in the middle of depression having the energy to do this everyday? unrealistic)
a song that most reminds you of aphrodite (or share your playlist) this is pretty on the nose, but i like it because of it. you can’t get a song that’s more about her than this.
a poem that reminds you of aphrodite (or write your own) “love breaks my bones and i laugh.” it’s the last lines of a bukowski poem. there are lots of interpretations to this (just like to aphrodite herself). on the one hand, it could mean he laughs because even though love hurts, it is worth it. on the other, maybe he laughs because love is so painful that the pain of broken bones is nothing. either way, it feels fitting.
talk about how you personally see aphrodite (or create the image) i see her as voluptuous, soft, warm and inviting.  a person that you associate with aphrodite (someone you know or celebrity) i don’t associate anyone with her. i actually don’t like that concept if i’m honest lol
a fictional character you associate with aphrodite again, that’s a concept i don’t really like, so i don’t associate anyone with her, real or fictional.
tell a story about yours and aphrodite’s relationship our relationship is very new, i don’t have many stories. other than the fact that she’s been appearing to me for years and it took me a long time to hear her.
what do you love most about aphrodite? i love her sense of humor, her aesthetic, her patience.

The Great Goddess Hecate (Hekate)
Tumblr media
Who is Hecate? She is the Goddess of Witchcraft, Necromancy, Ghosts, Magic, and, in some instances, the Night, Darkness, The Mist, and Moon. For some She is also the goddess of motherhood, protection, and the sea. She is a Hellenic deity, born of the Titans Asteria and Perses. There’s a few beliefs circling around Her being a crone goddess or a Triple Goddess, but those are modern and neopagan beliefs—which She predates. I also consider Her to be a part of the Chthonic deities.
Symbology: Black dogs, Wolves, Keys, Torches, Flames, Torches, Crossroads, Serpents, Daggers, Birds of Prey (crows, ravens, owls), the Moon, witchcraft tools (such as cauldrons, tarot, athames)
Offerings & Devotional Acts for Her:
Figurines of any of Her symbols
keys, skeleton keys, lockets
fire witchcraft and candles, flames, matchsticks
dedicating any lunar or symbolic jewelry to Her
black/dark crystals such as obsidian and onyx
nocturnal animal imagery
black/cool colored glitter
baneful/poisonous herbs and plants
pomegranates/berries (She seems to really like blackberries)
dark blend wines
honey, cinnamon, poppy seeds, chocolates (dark)
mugwort, lavender, roses, jasmine, dragon’s blood
bones and feathers from birds of prey (please check your local laws about obtaining these)
pinpricks of blood (please DO NOT attempt this if you struggle with self harm/etc, blood magic is particularly strong and isn’t for everyone. She will understand if you cannot offer that to her).
Taking midnight walks, setting up altars and rituals at crossroads, paying respects to the dead and practicing your craft in a cemetery
Any playlists, poems, literature, whether it be your own or just a piece you associate with Her, also make wonderful offerings.
Lunar Influences & Connections: Reaching out to Hecate tends to work best at night, and really any time the moon is at it’s peak. The Witching Hours, midnight to 3A.M., during strong lunar influences (blue moons, blood moons, eclipses, new moons, etc) all hold strong bonds with Hecate. Also, any time it is particularly foggy or your surroundings are covered in a mist is a good time to try to connect with Her.
Disclaimer: These are correspondences that have been gathered through my personal experiences working through my craft with Her. If you find She responds better to different offerings/during different times, by all means, stick to it! Your bond with Her is your own and should be cultivated in whichever way works best for you and Her. Thank You!

🍇✨🍷I’ve learn with Dionysus that that’s okay to feel too much, to be too much, and to feel good with who you are at the end of the day 🍷✨🍇
