Oliver was dead and Moira’s heart ached. It was the second time she had to say goodbye to her son, she wondered if it would hurt any less, the fact that he was her sons doppelganger. It didn’t. She thought it was the most pain she would feel on this Earth until now, standing across from her daughter’s doppelganger. Thea was alive, not her Thea but it didn’t matter. This version of her was alive, that was the most important thing. Moira fought back tears as her eyes met Thea’s. She wanted to rush forward, to hold her forever and shield her from the world but she couldn’t. Not yet. 

“Not quite” Moira answered softly, biting back tears “I’m..from Laurel’s Earth. Earth 2, your brother called it”

      brows knit together once thea sees an all too familiar face of someone whom she has not seen in years. she knows in her heart that her brother’s sacrifice is the reason for moira’s return. it has to be! green eyes fill with tears that thea is surprised to learn that she hasn’t ran out of due to her excessive crying from the loss of her brother. ‘ ————————- mom? ‘ she asks in a quavering voice.

his funeral was today. i didn’t go. I stayed at home and sewed and basically ignored the world. Hopefully things start improving again soon.

She thought it was a hoax at first, hearing Oliver’s voice through the phone sent a shock through her system. The entire universe had turned on it’s head, people were alive who were dead before, events had changed for the better it seemed. Oliver had sacrificed himself for the entire universe but here he was on the other end of the phone talking to her.

She completely understood his need to keep his survival on the down low, she understood his need for rest. It seemed he deserved it most. She couldn’t help the small smile that spread across her face as she arrived at their small home and was let inside. It was perfect for them, including her little grand daughter, who was much much older when she last saw her.  When Moira laid her eyes on Oliver she bit back a sob, as much as she tried to convince herself the phone call was real she couldn’t. On her Earth she had many fake Oliver’s ring asking for money.

“Oliver?” She questioned before rushing forward to hug him tightly “Oh my baby boy”
