Jeremy

Series of Origin:

X-life, Empires smp, Hermitcraft.

Type of god:

Nature god/Death god, uknown.

Main domains:

Animals (Emanations take the form of different animals not only donkies, Joel says that we are all Jeremy), reincarnation (according to Joel he gives an extra life after the ten normal ones in the form of donkey Jeremy).

Origins:

Lizzie and then Joel found the emanation, donkey Jeremy, first. It was then that Joel was contacted by the true Jeremy who ordered him to create for him a church.

Worshipped by the main religion (cult) of X-life his presence is still mentioned evennafter Joel's own ascension.

Type of God:

Sky god, ex-mortal.

Main domains:

Thunder, Lightning, Rain and Lore™.

Titles:

The mazelian king, The rhymesmith, the god of Stratos, Joel of the Gods, King of Quartz, Lizzie's husband.

Origins:

First joined Empires Season 1 as a mortal, only at the beginning of season 2 he bathed in the sacred fountain of strenght, he became an 11ft tall demigod for the rest of Empires season 2.

By the end of the season he was given the chance to prove himself and he succeeded gaining then full divinity. What happened after is more vague, all we know is that he was the one to teach the storm which her magic.

The Mianite series.

Civilisation god, divine-born.

Main domains:

Balance, Neutrality, Justice, Impartiality, The End.

Titles:

The goddess of balance, the ruler of the End, The Lady.

Origins:

One of three siblings her backstory is complex, multiple aspects of her exist in different worlds and though the similiarities remain there are differences that distinguiah them.

Born from the conflict of Light and Darkness she exist to balance her borother's Order and Chaos as well as the living and dead.

The scales of balance.

Type of god:

Death god/Civilisation god, ex-mortal.

Main domains:

Judgement, Revenge, Punishment and Mercy.

Titles:

Shad the Destroyer, The Heart of Darkness, Realm Breaker, Judgement, The King.

Origins:

Once mortal he was given godlike power centuries ago. Betrayed by his lover Irene and his friends he fell into resentment and hate and his anger brought untold destruction to the world until the time came he was sealed.

Now, his anger no longer burns as wildly, he resides in Limbo where he judges the souls of those who pass.

Primordial god/Light god, uknown.

Main domains:

Colour, Hues, Sheep.

Origins:

One of the developers of the game, the closest thing to an actual creator god in the minecraft world, how could I not add them to the blog?

Plus, naming a sheep after him will make it a rainbow sheep which only makes sense if his name has some kind of in-world power that can be called upon.

Dianite

Series of Origin:

The Mianite series.

Type of god:

Civilisation god/Darkness god, divine-born.

Main domains:

Chaos, Disorder, Trades and the Nether.

Titles:

Lord Dianite, The God of the Nether.

Origin:

Hard to explain, facets of him (facets of Chaos) exist simultaneously in different realms.

The one present in the first season is chaos for chaos sake, destruction and violence for the sake of it. While season 2 has an aspect that leans more into chaotic neutral and even chaotic good.

Generally born from the meeting of light and dark, in one realm he was aknowledged as birth son of Angrec, in one other the son of the World Historian.

He's also as confusing as real mythology as his brother.

Nature god/Sea god, both ex-mortal AND divine-born... It's complicated.

Main domains:

The ocean, the depths, fish, axolotl and additionally misadventures smp.

Fanon assigned domains:

Storms, ships, animals.

Titles:

The ocean queen, The blue axolotl, The fairy queen, The mayor of animalia, The head witch.

Origins:

The blue axolotl was born millennia ago, hatching from an egg laid by a being which is no longer known. She hatched near another egg, her brother, whose egg she looked after until he too emerged.

Sometimes before empires they both lost their memories (maybe after the first corruption) and with them their powers.

Lizzie regained her powers during Empires season 1 but blinded by the empires crown she failed the ocean and her powers were blocked once more... Until recently, recent activity of worship of the Ocean Queen in Hermitcraft season 10 implies the re-emergence of the goddess.

Also she was the one who created the world of Misadventures smp in which she is currently the main god.

The Blood god

Story of Origin:

Techno's streams, Dream smp.

Type of god:

Civilisation god/Death god, uknown.

Main domains:

Blood, violence, victory.

Titles:

The blood god, in case that's not their actual name. (Like if you believe Techno to be the blood god, in that case then The Blade is a title too)

Origin:

Little is known about their identity except that Technoblade's chat often chants "Blood for the blood god". Who is the blood god? Technoblade himself? Someone else who Techno is working for? Depends on the interpretation.

If it IS Techno then we know it must have some kind of connection to the goddess of death as her angel's oldest friend.

I do love that "who kills the blood god becomes the blood god" headcanon but that's personal preference.

Uknown, they appear in minecraft legends as a fully formed deity. Little more is known of their past.

They are said to have guarded the overworld for a long time so they must be pretty old.

Empires smp, Life series.

Type of god:

Sea god/Death god/Nature god, ex-mortal but also divine born.

Main domains:

Swamps, Slime(?), Cod.

Fandom assigned domains:

Loss, rot, mist, fresh water in contrast to Lizzie's control over the sea, canaries, solidarity because of his name, the law because empires season 2. Just... a lot has been assigned to him in different interpretations.

Titles:

The Codfather, The Canary, The Sheriff, The Law, The Toy.

Origin:

The Codfather was born millennia ago, hatching from an egg laid by a being which is no longer known. He didn't hatch alone, his sister, born before him, was waiting for him all alone.

Sometimes before empires they both lost their memories (maybe after the first corruption) and with them their powers.

Jimmy regained his powers during Empires but distracted by his own conflicts with the lord of salmon he was unable to stop the growing corruption and his empire was destroyed...his powers were blocked once more...

Until recently, recent general water weirdness in multiple servers implies the re-emergence of the god.

Hard to explain, facets of him (facets of Order) exist simultaneously in different realms.

There's the kinder facet of a fair and just law and there's the more conniving selfish lawful evil one.

Generally born from the meeting of light and dark, in one realm he was aknowledged as birth son of Angrec, in one other the son of the World Historian.

It's as confusing as real mythology.

Some aspect of the afterlife, resurrection, souls.

Domains assigned by me:

Compassion and apathy. They are very important to her story and fit her role and I'm sticking with them.

Titles:

The matron.

Origin:

Once mortal she was gifted with godhood, traveling from city to city healing the hurt and helping the weak...

Stuck in a cycle of death and rebirth of her friends and lovers her emotions soon faded to apathy, forced to choose the greater good over her own over and over again... Until she decided to leave this plane and rest.

She is currently residing in Limbo with her husband? Ex?... situationship.

Titles:

The great stag, The god of Rivendell.

Origin:

One of two twin stag gods, born to balance the corruption of It's brother Exor. The two regularly choose champions to pit against eachother... though these attempts inevitably leads to draws as the two champions cannot kill eachother without themselves dying.

Scott is the latest of Aeor's champion, the newest king of the elves he was chosen to receive the blessing of Aeor...though the power was hard to master.
