I've seen a couple takes on techno being Like That because he went a little insane due to the voices as an embodiment of the blood god and usually we see the blood god as this indifferent if not malicious entity but consider this: BENEVOLENT, KIND, LOVING blood god who saw this feral little kid growing up on his own and decided to make it their conduit because they fell in love head over heels the way parents fall in love when they first hold their new bown baby. BG tried to make a well adjusted adult out of tech but he was never properly socialized before being adopted so he's Just Like That DESPITE the blood god's best efforts

I always love to portray the Blood God in a more possitive light. In mythology, gods related to blood are usually also gods of family, chidbirth, loyalty, victory, wine, fire, or even LIFE. That last one is fun if you contrast it to Phil being the patron of the Goddess of death.

I bet you remember that streams "without content" where he is just building turtle farms and so on. But imagine Techno as a fantasy book character. Sitting next to the fireplace, sleeping in the forest, travelling across the endless fields. What a romantic point of view

Hello @nhi-theuserof-this! I was your gifter for the @mcythorrorgiftexchange! This is the first of 3 gifts I have for you, so keep an eye out for the others throughout the week. Think of it like a very short advent calendar. You mentioned biblical angels of the Blood God and Death, and suddenly, I have a new favorite AU to turn in my head! So very exciting! I hope this and all the other treats coming your way are everything you hoped for ^_^

I've always liked the idea of hybrid transformations being more anthro than catboy, though to what extent changes between character I think !

with tubbo and tommy I picture them starting human and taking on their hybrid traits as the story progresses !

for tubbo it's less that I picture him actually getting Shorter, and more that the shape of his legs (and how he holds himself) changes. I also like the idea of him putting on more muscle and fat, especially during the snowchester era. giving him more of a Dwarf build

for tommy I picture him Literally getting smaller. I go back and forth on the exact sort of hybrid I picture him as (raccoon, bird, chimera, etc), but either way it's smaller than the ram/goat situation tubbo has. moreover I think it's reflective of his storyline Thematically. he Feels smaller so he Is smaller. (it's also, coincidentally, the funniest option)

I picture both ranboo and techno already being hybrids when they're introduced to the story, and both of them having a transformation aspect to them.

techno becoming more or less humanoid (I prefer even a more humanoid techno to be visibly piggie, but pig techno Must Be a big rectangle. Chonky)

techno's transformation is more so a choice, most likely tied to his emotions to some extent but still something he usually Chooses to do. while with ranboo it's of course something that happens to him while in their enderwalk.

though I also like to think that ranboo meets in the middle with enderboo after they resolve their two halves

once upon a time, i wrote a really good post about it but alas i can't find it but!

my general and favored interpretation of techno's voices is that they're a mix of a manifestation of his emotions and also a byproduct of being a disciple of the blood god. he's connected with all the other disciples but on a sort of... i don't want to say 'surface' level but vague emotional level?

so in my head, what's happening is these other voices are picking up on general things techno is feeling hence why they'll be calling for blood during a tense situation or going 'technolame' when he's a bit embarrassed over something dumb. or will even pick up on things that techno has picked up on subconsciously and mention them.
