Hiya luvs, idk if anyone here's been following my fic More Than Yesterday, sorry I haven't uploaded anything the past couple of weeks. I have quite suddenly tipped into a mental health crisis, which is also having an impact on my physical health so I'm finding staying on top of things very difficult. Like I said, the fic is finished but I'm still wanting to go through and edit each chapter before uploading. I'd rather do that than put out something I'm not happy with.
Anyway, I hope you're all well. I hope to be soon too, and in the meantime I will do my best to upload when I can!

There’s no getting away from the fact that
we don’t know what his sexuality is, we should assume he’s straight
is heteronormativity, and
he’s clearly into women, if you claim he’s into men you’re erasing his wives
is biphobia.

“In a spectral, mysterious and beautiful song (“A Day in the Life”) that fascinates at every turn of its five-minute span, there is a special moment of hearing accord between its twin architects John Lennon and Paul McCartney. At the point where Paul prepares to return the track to his partner - at the end of his ‘woke up, fell out of bed’ middle section - he concludes this brisk, jangling passage with the line ‘And somebody spoke, and I went into a dream.’ A disembodied voice begins to wail wordlessly in expression of the dream state. The orchestral storm starts to build again from underneath. But the wailing voice is not Paul’s. It is John. They cannot be separated. It is John who is dreaming Paul’s dreams.”

Me and John knowing each other, the fact that both of us independently had already started to write little songs... I said to him, “What’s your hobby?” I said, “I like songwriting,” and he said, “Oh, so do I.” You know, no one I’d ever met had ever said that as a reply. And we said, “Well, why don’t you play me yours and I’ll play you mine.” That is most unusual and most fortuitous, the fact that we should meet and get together.
(Paul McCartney, August 2020, interview with Dylan Jones for GQ)
He [Paul] used to write songs before I even started writing songs. I think he did.
(John Lennon, September 5th, 1971, St. Regis Hotel in New York City, interview with Peter McCabe and Robert Schonfeld)
PLAYBOY: “I’ll Follow the Sun.” LENNON: That’s Paul again. Can’t you tell? I mean, “Tomorrow may rain so I’ll follow the sun.” That’s another early McCartney. You know, written almost before the Beatles, I think. He had a lot of stuff …
(John Lennon, 1980, All We Are Saying by David Sheff, 2020)
