Lionize (RWBY || RoosterTeeth) ~Orchestral Battle Arrange~

Here I am with a new battle arrangement! This is "Lionize" from RWBY Volume 6! I recently moved, but without my usual music equipment. So I had to make this on FL Studio, a program I haven't touched since 2013! It took a while to relearn how to use this unorthadox program. This entire thing was on my laptop by hand by manually painting all of the notes into the DAW. Hoo boy.

FUN FACT: The last piece I manually painted all the notes for in FL Studio was in fact my "This Will Be The Day" arrangement from RWBY V1 way back in 2013! Funny how things come back around!

I've wanted to cover this ever since Adam's short came out last year but never could get around to it. Hope you enjoy!

Here is my arrangement of "This Time (From Shadows II)" from the end of RWBY V5! This was a lot of fun to do and I really do enjoy this song! My peers on Twitter seemed to enjoy the synth-y, 8-bit sound I had going on from my stream preview, so I decided to go all the way with this! I hope you enjoy!

My orchestral battle arrangement of "Path to Isolation" from Weiss' character short for RWBY Volume 5! Man, any song to do with Weiss is always a pleasure to listen to and a pleasure to arrange for! Either way, I had some fun with this one. I wasn't sure how I was going to do it, but I injected a LITTLE bit of "This Life Is Mine" here. I hope y'all enjoy this little arrangement! :D

Stop-Motion Moana

“We can rebuild her… We have the technology… We know the way!”

A few months ago I ripped apart a Moana doll and made it into a stop-motion puppet using a kinetic armature kit.  

The walk cycle above was the first thing I animated with this puppet, and was just a throw-away practice test with no green screen. I had never done a walk cycle in stop-motion before and soon discovered how difficult animating a straight-ahead cycle within a localized space with no retakes could be.

I showed the cycle to my dad while he was holding my Moana puppet in his hand and he seemed more impressed with this crappy test than the actual animation I did on the movie! I think the combination of him holding the puppet, and then seeing it come to life on the video before him was what blew him away. I guess that’s the appeal and magic of stop-motion. :)

Here’s a second test I animated for fun:

I read that it’s best to have the foot joints nice and tight to hold the weight of the puppet, and have the arms looser.  It’s amazing how much weight those toe and foot ball-joints could hold for the falling poses:

Just askin' . Does your RWBY Orchestral Battle Arranges has an album that can be downloaded?I really like the instrumentals yet I am too lazy to download each one T.T Thanks!!

I've been thinking of putting my RWBY arranges on Spotify but that'd cost me a lot to do them all at once. As far as a downloadable album goes, I'll have to see about that in the future!

I commissioned composer Jeremiah George to create this awesome battle theme for the Final Aeon fight starting now in the last chapter of Guardian. It’s kind of a theme for the comic itself too. I’m really excited for everyone to be able to hear this. :)
