if I wanted to use a character who's pov we saw though once can I? We only saw because the character did and it was very lore important

The Ao3 Colection for this year has been made and can be viewed here!! You should be able to add your works by typing mcytnonpov24 exactly into the collection box of your works when posting.

Are ccs allowed to be in the piece if the main pov is of an npc? Also is it okay if we only post on one day?

cc characters can play a minor or supporting role in your work (so as long as their not the central/pov character or taking up most of the composition re: art) yea!!! And your free to participate for as many or as few days as you want :)

Nope, you will not be required to sign up in any way!! The prompt event will be free for anyone to participate as much or as little as they want come time :)

Mod applications have been gone through and all accepted mods have been contacted!!

So with that i'd like to extend an official welcome to Mod Corrows (they/them) who will mainly be helping will queuing ya'll's lovely works, and Mod Kestrius (she/her) who will be helping out behind-the-scenes!

I've updated the FAQ's wording now that the Interest Check is over, and in the tagging section added our new event tag, #mcytnonpov24, for when the event starts!!

MCYT Non-POV FAQ

What Counts as NSFW / Won't be Allowed?

For the purpose of this event NSFW includes any sexual/smut work AND explicit/18+ rated gore/violence/horror/ext. Other then that the event will run with KINKTOMATO / DL:DR rules and can include anything else!!

Are Pets / Non!CC / "Fandomless"¹ Characters Allowed?

All of those will be allowed!! As long as the character your thinking of follows the definition of "any characters who the ccs' videos/series DON'T follow" then you can use them for this event.

¹ To give examples from the IC by "fandomless" we mean characters like the Watchers, NPC Grian, or Wormman, that either come from a solo work or "follow" their cc/actor in multiple series!!

Do Our Piece(s) Have to Follow Canon?

Nope!! Any type of fanwork is allowed whether it's canon complacent, adjacent, divergent, a completely separate au, or everything inbetween :)

Will there be an Ao3 collection?

Yes there will be an AO3 collection made, BUT you are still required to make a Tumblr post with either the link to your Ao3 post and/or you work itself, so we can reblog it here!

How Will I Tag my Piece(s)?

You need to use the tag #mcytnonpov24 and are highly encouraged to also mention/@ the blog as well!! This is so we can find your pieces to reblog them!!

MCYT Non-POV Event

MCYT Non-POV will be a SFW fan event focusing on the NPCs and Side Characters of MCYT!! That is any characters who the ccs' videos/series DON'T follow aka any "non-POV" roles.

It's worth noting that i can't possibly watch every server or stream that happens, so the exact criteria for who counts will be taken more on good faith and case-by-case then being followed strictly to the letter :)
