Self-identification for trans people in the UK!!

Attention, everyone! There is currently a petition to allow trans people to self-identify our legal gender! This would make it a hell of a lot easier to change our gender, and give us a hell of a lot more dignity - right now, we have to get a diagnosis of gender dysphoria to change our gender legally. A doctor literally has to sign off on the fact that we are trans - a doctor we have to either wait 6+ years to see, or pay a lot of money that a lot of people can't afford, just so we can be treated as ourselves.

The petition is already over 9000 signatures! At 10k, it will receive a government response, and at 100k, it may be debated in pariiament!

If you live in the UK, please sign this petition! If you don't but you know someone who does live in the UK, please sent it to them!

EDIT: i removed the “trump refused to swear on the bible” point because it was being taken as me being an offended christian. i’m not christian, im agnostic. the reason i included it in the first place is because he’s the first president in history to ever refuse to swear on ANYTHING. meanwhile his “conservative christian” followers had no issue with this, and decided to continue to scramble for excuses instead of admitting he may not be as religious as he claims he is. i figured taking that point out entirely is probably better than filling this with an explanation in the middle of the other important issues.

I have a headcanon that Rafe is fully like “I’ll kidnap a kid and convince everyone I baby trapped you” toxic and he does it quite a few times. Like despite how much they’ve grown and all the trauma (individually and together) they worked through Rafe will always and forever be a pain in Barry’s ass. Like he finds great joy in being a little shit and he’s been a little insane for forever so like it’s the prefect mix. Plus Barry fully (and inadvertently) domesticated the shit out of Rafe’s crazy. So he’s more “trailer park toxic with a side of chaotic batshit” than “entitled sterile rich asshole murder manipulator”.

Anyways I think Rafe has fully immersed himself into the trailer park lifestyle. (@barrys-chico-rico talks abt this with Rafe becoming like the epitome of a trailer park wife with a crop top and daisy dukes in the summer and that’s what I envision here) and like let’s say there’s this woman who gossips to everybody in the Cut. Like very “small town” core. But it doesn’t spread past the cut so it’s more “small cut”. But it’s like one of those things where the people from the Cut have more respect (or even the adults from the Cut don’t fuck with the ppl from Figure 8 and have too much pride for them to think they’re trailer trash even if they are) for each other than people from Figure 8 do, so like what happens (gossip) in the Cut stays in the Cut. But regardless Rafe talks to her and like brings over this baby (it’s one of Barry’s friends kid, that they’re helping watch while they work. The whole “village” concept was a lot for Rafe to get used to. But now that he can be apart of some kids “village” he almost wishes he had one growing up) and like he doesn’t have to do much and the woman starts telling ppl that Rafe baby trapped Barry. Like Rafe complains ONCE abt Barry working late and him being up with the kid and now Barry can hear people gossiping abt how if he doesn’t “step up as a father” then Rafes gonna put him on child support and leave him.

Which is absurd on SOOO many accounts to Barry. Bc like 1. Rafe loves being a trailer park housewife and Barry spoils the absolute shit out of him so like if they did have a kid Rafe nor the kid would never need for anything. So to put these blasphemous claims on his name is straight defamation. He’s a man first and foremost and he’s 100% gonna take care of his responsibilities. (Such being his bored bratty bf and their imaginary kid.) 2. Rafe can’t get pregnant??? So like ppl should be more concerned on HOW he got a baby esp considering his record like wtf 3. This is a full Hispanic baby. No parts of it look like Rafe so like if Rafe somehow did get pregnant (which is like ???) Then Barry’s genes took over. But if he didn’t (which he can’t) then that means Barry had a baby on Rafe and he would actually be dead if that happened. Him and said baby bc Rafe’s not THAT reformed.

(Also I’m sorry idk why I love the idea of Barry being more vexed by ppl thinking he wouldn’t take care of his “kid” and husband and be a fully involved dad than the fact that ppl are believing that Rafe somehow baby trapped him when he can’t even get pregnant.)

Anyways it takes Barry like a month to dispel the rumor and some ppl still believe it. Rafe, all the guys at the shop, and the kids mom think it’s fucking hilarious. (She even plays along sometimes and says she’s babysitting for them when they’re out in public and the kid acts out) Plus it doesn’t help that Rafe restarts the rumor whenever Barry’s pissing him off even just a little bit.

(Sarah fully thought she had a nephew she knew nothing abt for like 2 months straight. She almost called Wheezie to see but JJ stopped her and said she couldn’t until the rumor was fully confined. Vegas rules and all.)

I’m sorry this is like all over the place that’s just how my brain works. I’ll try to clean it up so it makes at least half as much sense.

Sofia x Rafe Head-canons

Warnings: 18+

From what I can vaguely remember about season 3, it seemed like Sofia stayed longer than just one day at Tanny Hill. So that means they probably slept together more than once. I feel like, Sofia had to teach Rafe how to fuck. Making him go slower than he wanted too. He was just pounding away at her. And she had to help him learn how to roll his hips. He realized quickly how easily he could get her to cum, if he did this. At first, she was the one on top. Until he finally learned what she liked and didn’t and then that’s when they began to have more fun with the positions they did.

Sofia, as sweet as she looks, does not take his shit. I got this from the way she said she’ll scratch the eyes out of anyone who talked bad about him. And the way she kind of bossed him around at the beach. I feel like in the moment, when he was talking about Pogues. She let it slide then. But if he continued talking like that. She would have told him off.

Sofia can tell Rafe isn’t an experienced lover. Contrary to popular belief, I think he tends to get shy with her. Not used to showing so much affection. I feel like this is towards the beginning of their relationship. When he just stares at her, his cheeks turn pink. And she giggles, making his cheek turn more red than pink.

I can also imagine one day, he comes home with flowers. And he kind of shoves it in her face. Face pink as hell. Going “this is for you.” And she laughs because of the way he went about it. His hands are in his pockets. She slowly gets him to loosen up so she can kiss him. And he just turns red as fuck.

Sofia doesn’t know much about Rafes past. I fear, he keeps her in the dark. As we know, since he told her he’s done way worse. And how she doesn’t know. But he wishes he could tell her. I feel like that’s the one thing that really doesn’t allow them to get too close. Since she’s not sure why he’s always running off with Barry. I do think, she’s the reason why Rafe slowly separates himself from Barry. But honestly, this thought is less developed then the rest.

I don’t think Rafe knows much about Sofias friends. There’s kind of a language barrier for some of them. A few of her friends mainly speak Spanish. So he tries but he feels like they don’t understand him.

Rafe learns some Spanish so he can talk to Sofia in her native tongue. He’s terrible at it at first, of course. But slowly, he learns it rather quickly.
