Scott giggles as Jimmy compliments him. He can see the avian’s face flush slightly pink, and he does admittedly take a little pride in the sight.

He’s pretty, and he’s damn glad someone else is appreciating it. Martyn usually just rolls his eyes and gives him a snarky comment.

He smiles pleasantly, if not a little nervously. He worried his lip with his teeth, wincing and stopping when he tastes copper. It’s a nasty habit he’d picked up, an easy anxiety tell and mildly dangerous with the new fangs.

“Ha! Thank you, Jimmy, I’m glad you like the base. And the new look,” Scott smirks, putting a hand on his hip. “How’s it been going for you?”

Jimmy whistles as he walks to the Coral Isles, if only to give himself something to do for his nerves. It’s not a long walk, but long enough to feel dread set in. Scott hates him. How is this even gonna work? Still, he steels himself and like the gentleman he is, he knocks on the ridiculous door.

“Scott? I’m here! It’s Jimmy!” He calls out.

Scott takes a deep, nervous breath, and fixes the coral pin from Martyn against his lapel.

He’s well aware this could go south quickly, but- he’s prepared. Jimmy killing him wouldn’t be entirely underserved, and- and honestly, he’d accept it if it meant speaking to him for just a few minutes.

Scott sighs, let’s his nerves settle at the idea of his Jimmy once again, on even footing, and opens the door.

“Jimmy,” He greets with a smile. “It’s been some time.”

it’s been pretty good, actually! martyn’s, well- you know how martyn is, but he’s been a good teammate. i quite like him. might be my favourite alliance i’ve been on, if i’m being quite honest.
