I promise you, relationship anarchy is a good thing. Tell your friends you love them. Go on dates. Domme them. Take them to weddings. Have a relationship with the sub from the dungeon where she does your taxes or you mow his lawn. Help your neighbor plant begonias and become their honorary granddaughter. Become friends with your partner’s partners. Cuddle with your book club and talk about Polysecure or something, idk.

I don’t care. Just stop expecting every relationship to follow a specific pattern and instead find the beauty you both want in your specific relationship with that other person.

Life is more than the nuclear family and strict pseudo-Christian mythological ideals.

The glory of Georgia Tennant's Instagram is that David can't imagine how lovely it actually is to listen to him chatting about practically anything.

Had to reblog because I found the perfect picture to describe what I mean by "elves."

So, how was your BAFTAs? Oh, mine was really good. Had my first real "bisexual panic," seeing the Tennants make out on the red carpet, so that was quite something. And after a few rewatches (never mind how many), I had a realization...

I like to think of people with big, beautiful, expressive eyes and brains made for absolute mischief as "goblins" or having "goblin energy." And these two, these two people in particular... oh my god...

SERIOUSLY!! (This was the moment that really made me realize it.)

So, I can only speak for myself, but it makes absolute sense to me how someone might find both of these magical creatures extraordinarily attractive. It has made me realize that perhaps I am really not bisexual. I am, in fact...

... goblinsexual.

And while I know some of you will want to ask, if you search your hearts you already know the answer.

David and Anna are quite obviously elves.

Okay, hear me out... AFTER Season 3... David and Michael recording podfic of AO3 fanfic, AS Aziraphale and Crowley narrating... complete with every type of interjection and commentary that feels appropriate for their characters as highly amateur narrators. Millions of bonus points if it's David/Michael RPF. Let's concentrate that meta until it's a meta diamond! I want to hear Aziraphale and Crowley arguing over where RPF ends and autobiography begin if you're improvising any legitimate thoughts while enacting an RPF script of your own life.

THAT is bloody brilliant. Maybe Crowley grudgingly steps in for a chapter or two because Aziraphale's gone to make cocoa.

Maybe when an artist goes to the trouble to put TWO examples of something in their piece of art that seem unusual or out of place, it's because they want you to actually think about them, not just blindly embrace them as a type of "shipping" or "rpf" about themselves or toss them off as a joke. Things can be meant to be both "provocative" in a sexual sense and thought-provoking.

Also, do these folks strike you as the kind of people who would treat non-monogamy as a joke and then go to the trouble to make art like that? Do they seem like the kind of folks who would make long-term jokes about any group of people at all?

No? Me neither.

If you genuinely admire any or all of the Sheenantburg group/clan/family/polycule, maybe just take a breath and consider just being cool and accepting and understanding of whatever they are (especially when they've been communicating it so damned hard for so long) so that THEY can feel accepted and free to be their most authentic selves with us.

I've been wondering what it would actually take for people who absolutely insist it's nothing but a long running bit to believe otherwise. This is the only scenario that springs to mind:

Michael is on the Graham Norton show (this Friday, for instance) and David sneaks out, surprises him (as the crowd goes wild) and gives him the hottest, most non comedic kiss ever witnessed. Sir Ian McKellen weeps openly and requires multiple tissues. David addresses the audience with an arm still firmly around Michael.

"For those of you in the betting pool who had 'they're polyamorous bisexuals,' please contact your bookmakers to collect your winnings. Those of you who put money on 'the girls are elaborate beards who somehow coerced us into procreating' and those of you had 'they're straight and it's all a very stale bit,' I'm very sorry but your money is gone. No amount of commenting on the Internet will change the results. I repeat: your money is gone."

This morning (2/5/2024) Georgia posted these photos on Instagram.

Image descriptions: The first was her holding the Michael Sheen cake topper. The second was one with her and David on the outside and Anna and Michael on the inside, all smiling at the camera. The third was the back of two of the kids in the sweaters they wore when they all wento Lapland UK. The caption reads: "Happy Birthday to the boyfriend of both my wife and my husband." I'm interested to read what other folks think about their facial expressions and body language in the group photo... to me AL and maybe GT's faces look tight. Michael hasn't smiled that genuinely in a photo with AL in a while, and they are leaning their heads into one another. However, it's a group shot. And, he might be doing well, becaues he's been screening The Way. Speaking of, Tweets from the screanning 3 days ago shows Michael with a beard. IDK if he shaved it between then and now or if these photos were taken at a different time. Was the group photo part of the birthday celebrations? Anna had made a birthday carousel for Michael yesterday. Again, others might have something. The first photo was of them together, but it doesn't look (to me) like it's at the same time as the birthday gathering, because Michael is wearing a different coat. The front of Anna's dress/shirt is different than the group photo, which could be from another time entirely.

Anna shared the Georgia's carousel on to her own story with the theme song to Neighbours. We learned the other day, that they are indeed neighbors of some variety. She clicked it so that Georgia's caption was showing, but is she downplaying that statement/joke about their relationship by going for ~neighbors~, which on its own, is less intimate?

Anyway, my favorite thing about Georgia's post was the comments. Several made direct statements about "metamours" and "polycule," but the one that got thousands of likes was the one calling it a "bit."

I agree with the ones not calling it a bit. Accept what they are literally telling you. If it's fake and it bothers them, they will stop the "bit." Maybe it is fan service. Otherwise, you're kind of making a joke out of what they are literally saying their relationship is? We may not have all the details, but we know what they have literally said to us.
