WIPs and sketch below the cut

I usually work with brainstorm dirty and rough lines, then clearer line and then add flats, lights or shadows as I see fit. Last is the sketch just before inking because this is an illustration, comic pages do not need such detailing for me.

I work with several layers. One has inking, descriptive lines. Other has textures, blacks, details, etc. And the last one has extra details, temp lines (that end up being final) or in this case, white crosshatch in case I want to change my mind light-wise.

You have a point with Radiance's beak. Tons of baby birds have patterns inside their beaks for their parents to recognize, and usually they seem to glow compared to the rest of their mouth

I've always been curious about what could possibly be the situation of the planet Hollow Knight would take place on, since there's a goddess that literally looks like the sun. But there's not really much to go off of because Hallownest and Dirtmouth are (seemingly) entirely underground, I wonder if Silksong might show what lies above the surface. What if it's like a rogue planet that has no star and that's why life only seems to flourish where there are those magical higher beings

this world being a rogue star is an interestig take, i dont think i have heard it before more than once or twice

I doubt silksong will show us the true surface, the world being entirely underground seems to be a thematic decision, but who knows

Random Hollow knight trivia

Quirrel's/Monomon's "mask" is closer to a stone slab, with false eyeholes that dont go all the way through and a notch for Quirrel's head

there's a hand in there

the sharp shadow charm seems to represent a soul totem (or the AC bug it was based upon) but instead of the standard body it has what seems to be either a cluster of blades or a cloak (considering the effect, probably both)

it can also be seen as said AC bug dashing towards the camera, making use of sharp shadow
