The Evaluation for the website
At the end of our interactive media project we was tasked produce an individual website for the function for our unit 8 (Final Project of the Year) and is also going to be help us create a professional portfolio when we decide to dip into freelance work will we have the ability to create a professional portfolio to hopefully attract clients for our services
For the display of my website, I decided to do a clear blank CV template as this was the most custom to any changes, over hours of finely picking of the page design and font I finally managed to decide on elegant font onto a marble background create a professional image for my platform instead of applying all the information on one page as my home page which has just my name, role and previous works then I separated all other information  in different pages that hyperlink using the tags above this is used to provide a clear movement across the website.

An introduction of the It hype movement on twitter and how the movie called it manage to become the top trending movie of 2017
The official twitter page stated 28th march 2017 with the a standard post of showing that the trailer was going to be out tomorrow but earlier hints of the film production appeared a on universal studio twitter page showing a missing page of one of main character and many you tubers and social media theories were beginning to crack the code and tie the links to find out that the movie It was in production which caused wide discuss on various media sites mainly twitter from various people trying to crack the code by using hash-tags but this didn’t stop when the trailer came out on social networking sites after the trailer was release, the It official twitter started to drip feed their audience with more hints and posting behind the scene footage of production also creating various extra footage of the characters for example short clips of the main characters with describing their traits and flaws, but this didn’t stop here the twitter page also designed a fan art reedit page and promote the best art to their twitter page this deep interaction with their target audience is the reason why interaction and positive promotion and create an overwhelming sense of hype around a film release and the way It marketing dept managed to create the hype of their audience has clear effect to the opening weekend of the film $13,197,576 in the UK box office

Rules for Filming
What is the ‘composition’ of a shot and why is it important?-
Composition of a shot is the balance/arrangement  of the elements within the shot this could the colour, characters positioning and objects within the frame
What is the Rule of Thirds?-
The rules of thirds is a compositional rule in visual arts (arts that viewable), the rules states that a image should be imagined being divided into nine equal parts by two equally-spaced horizontal lines and two equally-spaced vertical lines. ( important compositional elements should be placed along the lines
What is the white balance and why do you need to do it in each new location?
White balance is a feature within a camera that is used to correct the camera colour scheme as the camera doesn’t know how to pick up whites within a scene, the reason why we use white balancing for each location is due to the light availability in each location and the aspects of light affects whites within the scene
  What is manual focus?
In the field of photography, a manual focus camera is one in which the user has to adjust the focus of the lens by hand. Before the advent of autofocus, all cameras had manually adjusted focusing; thus, the term is a retronym
   What is depth of field?
Depth of field is the distance of what is in focus. It is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear sharp in an image
    What is a focal point?
The focal point is the utter most centre of the frame (a crosshair marker in the centre
What is ‘Mise en scene’? Give an example.
Mise en scenes is the objects and elements that are in the scene, what/why  is this object occurring within this shot
    What is ‘Three Point Lighting’?
the main light. It is usually the strongest and has the most influence on the look of the scene. It is placed to one side of the camera/subject so that this side is well lit and the other side has some shadow.
the secondary light and is placed on the opposite side of the key light. It is used to fill the shadows created by the key. The fill will usually be softer and less bright than the key. To acheive this, you could move the light further away or use some spun. You might also want to set the fill light to more of a flood than the key.
The back light is placed behind the subject and lights it from the rear. Rather than providing direct lighting (like the key and fill), its purpose is to provide definition and subtle highlights around the subject's outlines. This helps separate the subject from the background and provide a three-dimensional look.
What is the ‘180 degree rule’?
The 180° rule is a cinematography guideline that states that two characters in a scene should maintain the same left/right relationship to one another. When the camera passes over the invisible axis connecting the two subjects, it is called crossing the line and the shot becomes what is called a reverse angle

Music video
Evaluation of my Music video
The original synopsis of the Music video is that a  “ The camera starts off with an opening shot of the river then a male/female actors starts drifting down the river then enters the frame, the camera zooms into the character’s face where  its fades into actors next scene, showing them in an abusive relationship the actors hits the final straw and runs down the river side, the actor pulls out a bottle of pills and falls into the river from the beginning after this the female actors tries to find the male actor by looking throughout the house however discovers she might be too late and rushes to the where she could find him only to realise she was too late when she see the a rag of this clothing drifting in the river” however what occurred after filming we decided to remove the drifting down the river as the temperature condition the river rendered the idea not safe to continue so instead we decide to use plan B which concluded with the male actor walking down aside from the river mimicking the lyrics but that was the only aspect that was changed from my original synopsis.
  Pre-production:
During my research within the different music videos from different genres I planned to use some codes from metal music videos however, I personally believe song meaning wouldn’t match the metal’s codes which could alienate our audience so because of; I decided to remove the metal aspects from the pre-production paperwork pitch instead I looked at the original song for influence in my product and discovered various commenters on the music video suggest is about her abusive relationship with her husband and this song is about her escape from this relationship so this developed an idea of flipping this abusive relationship on its head by having the male being the person whom is being abused which will hopefully disproves the stereotypical nature of male being the abusers in the relationship, so because of this I believe that my research has affected my project massively so the message and plot concept was developed from research into the original music video
Overall I believe, I did a managed to research my project effectivity due to researching into different music genres however believe my research into neoclassical music was a very unproductive use of my pre-production time, my weak part of my investigation was my primary survey due to including some questions which were not needed to understand which as “Due to the increasing use of sex appeal in modern music do you believe that this damaging for future female artists” this question was use for my second back up idea encase some aspects were too offensive so due to this my research into various genres and  various music movements is the strongest part of my research as had the ability to change music video codes to match to requirements of the group.
  Production:
As a director of the project I believe we didn’t plan correctly as we just filmed without a detail storyboard for the first filming day and so we caused a massive problem as we only had 1 minute of footage out of 3 minutes so afterwards we stop and created an action plan and a detail storyboard which fixed all of problems as we have a clear vison of what was needed for each filming day detailing what was needed to completed by the hour so because of this the team productivity rate was massively increased I created the action plan due to myself not being able to travel to Colchester that day and it worked effectively as everyone known what was needed for that filming day. For the house scenes we had took photos of each of the rooms in which our Cameraman decide on where the camera will be located in the room and we translated this from the storyboard so when we all arrived to the location we film all the shoots in a quick pace finishing within three hours however to quick pace we forgotten to remember the placement of object within the room such as chairs so the scenes don’t really connect with each other. Because of this I believe this was our major flaw but also our strength within the project but this was easily fix when we have developed a plan because of our planning a number of filming days close together and also starting all the pre-production paperwork whilst finishing of PowerPoint pitch which in caused us to finished filming a week earlier than others which was a great achievement to accomplished.
Post-production
I believe we managed time effectivity as we finished the filming a week earlier so we had around 3 weeks to finish editing our film we completed the first edit in around a week spending the whole of self-production study day, purely just editing which made us product quickly however we discover an issue, we didn’t have another footage to fit the music track so to fill up the gap we decide to include facts from abusive based charities such as mankind to enforced the issue is happening now after we finished the cut we email the YouTube link to a vary  audience to take some ideas and critiques from them for example one of the audience said “why do you include a note from the male actor so the female actor knows where to find him”  so we discussed this idea in a group and made a concept based on this and used texts which reflects the female thoughts, due to the lack of knowledge of aftereffects the editor and I  had to review YouTube videos on aftereffects and took around 4ish hours to understand and create a tracking 3d text and animate it but when we finally understood what was needed to complete a tracking 3d text in aftereffects we could do the task with ease.
Finished Product
The final quality rating of the music video was a 7.5/10 from the peer groups this was due to the various camera angles, the aftereffects texts, the overall message and storyline of the music video due to the connection errors much as objects being in different scenes and the massive issue of clothing but this was due to the lack of communication with the actors on the day because of this the project looks unmanaged and unprofessional, the atmosphere of the music video is blink and narrow which translates perfectly with the meaning/message with abusive relationship and the facts and statistics at the end with an black screen as background hits the true impact of hopeless to audience which gives us a creative impactful aesthetic that will inform society of this issue

DAY TO DAY UPDATES OF PREVIOUS AND CURRENT FLIMING PROJECTS
FEELING GOOD- MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION- 22/11/17
The location of the shoot was at 34 Chits hill to the distance from the college I had to cycle to the location and took about 40 minutes to get to the location due the traffic and started filming at 10am to film the house scenes from the house storyboard so shooting of the scenes took about 3 hours, we did various takes of the primary shots from different angles and decided to use to best footage and discard the rest which left us with 2 minute and 45 seconds  to edit with instead of 15 minutes of Raw footage
When in the editing booth we encounter an issue regrading a lack of footage so we resolved this by including a short fact and statistics on domestic abuse for the calm ending of the music video which should hopefully create a powerful ending
FEELING GOOD – MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION- 20/11/17
Due to financial and travel problems I couldn’t be there on the day of filming however beforehand, I formed an online folder with all the pre-production paperwork and a visual storyboard with notes for the team to follow and I decided to make Sam Jacobs the director for the day after the shooting finished I contact the team to discuss issues that could have occurred and very few minors issues occurred during the filming day
The location was lower castle park, filming the scenes of the female actors running down to the riverside trying to find the male actors arrival of set 10 am until 12 am
Raw footage 15 minutes edited down to 1 minute into the music video
FEELING GOOD- MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION- 15/11/17
The location of filming was at lower castle park and we collected the equipment from Tim at 10am and walked to the location we arrived at the location at 10:20 am and took about hour to film the first scene and took about 10 takes to perfected the syncing of the music and lip syncing perfect with the speed of the lyrics, filming the next scene took some time due to trying to explain the idea whilst filming it so the raw the footage came up to 20 minutes then edited down to 1 minute and 30 seconds
    SNICKERS TV ADVERT PRODUCTION- 04/10/17
The location of the shoot was in Friday woods, we picked the equipment at 9am due the location distance I had to bike there and that took 40 minutes to 1 hour to arrive at the destination of filming, whilst traveling to the location, the production team filmed the scenes in with the clown actors behind the trees walking between them when I arrived at the location we started filming, the running scene from the start of the video we finished filming at 2pm and had over 20 minutes of raw footage and we filmed all the footage we need for the Final footage plus extra 3 minutes of B-Roll footage which  much more than we needed
  CHASE SCENCE PRODUCTION- 20/09/17- 21/09/17
The location of the shoot was at Colchester Institute and the brief of footage was to film a chase scene we planned a short mind map and storyboard  and filmed about quarter of the footage needed due to the lack of time as we only had 1 hour to film which is not variable amount of time due to this we started to film the rest of the scenes the following day, on the day problems occurred such as the college fire bell going off which cause minor time to be lost which caused the position of the sun to move due to this we had to film the previous scene again to match the scenes brightness levels this was also fixed in the editing phase of production

•"The music is very dark and moody but as plain text the lyrics are just a cheesy, happy poem, just so amazingly positive, and It can make you feel like there's really something worth fighting for. It is depressing but it’s almost like humanity singing about how good things could be“

The Jimi Hendrix Experience -Hey Joe
The Jimi Hendrix Experience is a rock group formed in 1967 and started in London as single act and created “hey Joe” whilst touring around Uk and reached UK top 10 in 1967, adding aspects of America blues to create a new developed music genre and movement “Psychedelic meisterwerk”
Due to the age of music video, editing of video was simple due to the lack of techniques and technology at the time so the video was cut raw footage
The outfits were truly reflection of the time
The key star image of this music video is Jimi Hendrix guitar playing and skills with techniques

System of a down-Aerials
System of a down is heavy metal/rap group known for creating music videos based around political and social issues in modern America, aerials released in June 2001  is around the issue of  identity and losing of it due to society and trends due to its use of symbolism of Hollywood is could be physical reference of over simplistic form of pop music and the draining affect on talent in the music industry.
The CGi is clearly apparent and used to create surreal atmosphere of using browns and orange
The music videos is mix-up of as live performances cutting into a narrative of child actor getting corrupted by money and fame from his neutral creative talent and the video is filled with the “cut to the beat” .
The star image of Aerials is the as live performances
The director of the aerials is the same director for muse’s “feeling good” and you can see the similar Vfx styles  of the two videos for example the editing of human faces to made them weird and strange
The lighting is dimming to shadow the as live performances which is done to get the whole gritty metal energy
Camera works/angles, the angles they use are tracking/Dolly shot , close ups and longshots  to create an deep personally progression of the actor changing as person.

The Neoclassical art music
The term began in 20th century in Sergei Prokofiev’s symphony No.1 and first premiered on April 21, 1918, the reasons why Prokofiev’s works launched the beginning of neoclassical era is due to his symphony reflecting of modern compositional practices and the inclusion of his own voice, Sergei Prokofiev’s symphony no.1 lasts 15 minutes starts with allego (fast and bright tempo in the bpm range of 120-168) then in to largetto ( an steady tempo in the bpm range of 60-66) then into Gavotta( an half measure tempo with  the bpm range of 116-120) then finally the finale of a molto vivace which starts with a molto which is basically  an allegro but faster in tempo and finishes with a vivace which is lively and fast with a bpm of 168-176 after his work was scored via the classical period orchestra consisting of 2 flutes, 2 oboes ,2 clarienets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns ,2 trumpets ,an timpani and strings. Later on in Prokofiev’s life he created an neoclassical opera called The rake’s progress which then influenced the works of French composers Darius mihaud, francis poulenc and Arthur Honegger and also Bohuslav martinu which continued the neoclassical art movement .

Audience theories
Hypodermic needle theory- The Hypodermic Needle theory or by its other name The Magic bullet was created in 1930s until the 1940s during the period of WW2 infamous use by Nazi Germany for their use in propaganda videos and posters, idea of this theory is that the audience is passive and openly consume Media without question and take preferred action that was desired by the Nazi party by change their core beliefs however this type of theory was erased at the end of the Second World War due to the audiences adapting and questioning the media they consume on a daily basis and the developing Tv and film industries verifying the audience had freedom to become a more active user
Uses and graduation theory- active user base, giving the audience choice, 4 topics, achievers explores social killer are the four gamers types due to their active media
The uses and graduation theory is based upon the belief that audiences will adapt and choose their specific types of media which they desire, any point at any time so the Theory explains that audiences have a specific type of media usage based on their social interactive personality and their mentality, there are four different social audiences needs for being pleased by media projection which are called Surveillances which is informative and knowledgeable based audience, Personal Relationships, which are audiences that like to discuss in a social group watching popular medias for social advantages in conversation , Diversion which are audiences whom desire the escape from surreal media projects and finally Personal Identity which are audiences whom use media to solve their inner conflicts or social difficulties that had or could occurred.
Semiotic Theory
Iconic signs – icons are signs where meaning is based on similarity of appearance.
Indexical signs  – Indexical signs have a cause-and-effect relationship between the sign and the meaning of the sign.
Symbolic signs – these signs have an arbitrary or conventional link
We can look at signs and sign systems in three ways:
1. Semantics – this is the ‘how’ of semiotics, and is concerned with this relationship between a signified and signifier – the sign and what it stands in for.
2. Syntactic – this refers to structural relations.  One structural relation in language is grammar, but syntactic in semiotics refers to the formal relationship between signs that lets them build into sign systems.
3. Pragmatics – pragmatics, according to Morris (Morris, 1938), is the relationship of sign to the person reading or understanding that sign.
Reception theory
Dominate or preferred
Is how the producer of the media wants audience to feel, wanting the audience to see their ideal perception of their media product . So say a scene from a drama and it’s projected as a tragic scene for example like a loss of a character role which most  displayed the mood of the scene as distressing or sad this mood is what the director wishes to display to the audience .
Oppositional Reading
Oppositional reading occurs when audience rejects the producer vision of the media product to instead favour their projected vision of the media project so this could a flop that causes the film to be miss-genre for example “The Room 2003” by Tommy Wiseau was created as a drama due the film is so terrible that it was mocked for its pathetic acting and filming.
Negotiated Reading
Negotiated reading occurs when the audience creates his/hers twist on the directors vision but keeping true to the natural narrative produced by the original source an example of this is a fan theory.
