"Why do people in Ceres always have to be so demanding for?" Micah asked loudly after Harper barked orders at her. She folded her arms and narrowed her eyes at him before she started, "You're going to restrain that guy? You don't even know why they're running, just that you're going to restrain them?" Micah rolled her eyes at the taller man. Although, from where she stood, he was right - that person needed to be restrained and detained, but she wasn't going to let someone off the hook for yelling at her. She looked at him and said, "Why don't you go and you call the cops? Besides, they're so far away. Unless you've got super-speed or something, you'll never catch them. Catch them first and then I'll call the cops."
âWatch where the fuck youâre goinâ,â Harper started to curse out the person who knocked him over âŚbut he quickly realized that it was someone trying to avoid being caught. A criminal? A villain? Something? He wasnât sure but what he did know was that this wasnât something that he could just easily ignore. Not at all. Harper wanted to be a hero, after all. There was no way he could let someone who obviously did something wrong go. He pushed himself off the ground and yelled at the nearest person, âYo, call the cops or some shit. Iâm going to restrain that son of a bitch.â With that, he turned his attention toward the running perpetrator. It was go-time.

Gray wasnât surprised. He should have been, but this was Micah. âI mean,â Gray reached for the napkin on the table and patted it on his newly soaked shirt. He looked over at Micah, âI get that youâre upset about the five year thing, but man, Micah âŚ,â he grinned, âYou could have greeted me in a less burning tea manner.â Although, with his vampire abilities, this wasnât exactly something that could harm him. Not by much. He chuckled, âAre you okay?Iâve never known you to be that clumsy, Micah.â
A smile made its way to her face as she heard the voice of an old friend. It was nice to hear the voices of those she had missed for so long. However, this was Gray and Micah let her smile fall off before she turned to face him. Her bottom lip jutted out. Without any warning, Micah reached for the teacup and tossed the rest of the drink on Gray and then smiled, "Oops." She put her hand on her mouth as she feigned an expression of surprise. Then, she reached for the napkin and tossed it at him, "You're fine, Twilight." Even with that, Micah's expression relaxed as she rushed over to give Gray a hug, "I missed you, you giant nerd."

Jeremiah was about to chuckle at the spilled tea. What people considered as hot, he considered as comfortably warm. With one of his motherâs set to take over Hell, it wasnât a surprise, but he kept that fact to himself. He became serious and looked down at his shirt. He guessed that a delayed reaction was better than no reaction so he jumped back back and pulled the shirt from his body. âOw.â He looked down at Micah. âAre you ok? I think my boobs broke the cup.â
Micah rose her eyebrows at the boy's delayed reaction. That was weird, even for someone in Ceres. She looked at him as she brushed her hair off her shoulders. "Your boobs broke the cup?" Micah repeated and rolled her eyes, "I'm more concern that the heat of the cup didn't burn whatever boobs that you have." She shrugged at him and rose an eyebrow slowly, "You crawl out of a volcano or something?"

âI donât care if you arenât helpless. Iâm going to run towards you if I think that youâre in danger.â Felicity knew that Micah was stronger than she looked and they were all on the same team, but Micah was her girlfriend. âI just want to make sure that my girl can continue living without the trouble⌠You know, keep herself looking cute the way she likes to.â Felicity reached over to hold her hands and then started to trace their forms. âI like that youâre still soft and the way you pout. Its cute.â
âIt was a long time even just for a couple months.â She chuckled and tucked some of Micahâs hair behind her ear. âThen I promise not to leave, but it isnât right for us to be that tied together. What if people start calling us something gross like that one movie with the centipedes? We canât have that ruin your cute self.â She smirked at her and started to drag her to the couch. Standing there and feeling awkward wasnât very comfortable. âIâll tell you what little you missed here if you tell me about you.â
"That's not the point, Felicity. How am I supposed to continue to live without any trouble when you're not there?" Micah said with a pointed tone as she shook her head. She bit the side of her cheek as she said, "You keep saying you're doing this to protect me but how is that fair if it takes you away?" Micah frowned. Her frown softened as Felicity took her hands and she took a deep breath. In the back of her mind, she scolded herself - this was supposed to be a happy reunion. Why did she have to go and be so selfish? Micah shook her head.
Micah looked at Felicity, "You know that's not what I meant, Felicity." Five years was a long time, especially to be sleeping with a memory. Her eyes looked away from Felicity for a moment, aimed at the ground for a few seconds before she told Felicty, "I was a raising a kid by myself for five years. It was Hunter's kid. I wasn't ready to mother anyone, especially to Hunter's kid." She chuckled, "The world never forget Ceres, though."

âMmm yeah, anti-aging cream is expensive. Same with you right? Didnât Ma do something to your soul?â Indeed, it was out of their hands and all Grace had to do was wait. Sheâs been patient, but she doesnât know how long it would last. At this rate, when the opportunity arises, sheâs going to make it happen and finally have the both of them in one room confessing their feelings. It was bound to happen. Giggling at Micahâs response, Grace nodded in understanding and said, âFair enough, not right now. So possibly in the future? I think theyâd be cute! For what it is worth, you did a great job with Deanie Beanie. He didnât end up getting dropped on his head or anything of the sort!â
"I'm Asian," Micah admitted before she shrugged, "I was never going to age in the first place." With the amount of work that Micah put into taking care of herself, she aimed to look in her early thirties until she was well into her late sixties. That new deal with Lilith made sure she would permanently stay this age forever. Micah shrugged, "I did want kids at one point, but with the way the world has been, this isn't a world I want to bring a kid in." She shook her head and said, "Dean was surprisingly more well behaved than expected. Which was surprising for Hunter's kid, to be honest."

Micah looked up from where she sat before she shifted back in her seat. The woman let out a loud and dramatic sigh before she picked up the tea cup in front of her. She smelled the teaâs scent as she sighed again before she drank it. After she decided that she didnât like the tea much, she placed the cup down on the table gently. Without caring too much, she stood up and bumped into someone. âOh, shit,â she cursed and then pressed her lips together. She turned to the person, âYou okay? I hope you didnât get tea on you. It wasnât that great but it was pretty hot. You okay?â

âI know!!! But a tiny part of me is still human so I can technically reason with my age.â whined Grace with a pout. She then sighed in defeat before nodding in a solemn matter, indeed nothing has happened for 13 years, but she wasnât going to give up. âIâm hoping for the best at this point. Mama is still whipped for Mom and that kind of perseverance will pay offâŚI think.â replied Grace with desperation. She then allowed her cigarette to bursts into black flames and disperse into ashes as she studied Micah. âAw Deanie Beanie gets his father back! How was motherhood hmm? Thinking of having kids of your own?â She then chuckled softly and added, âToo soon to ask?â
Micah shrugged. She was new to the whole immortality bit so she had no real reference. âWell, at least, youâll never have to worry about aging,â Micah offered as consolation. The woman looked at her and said, âI guess, weâll have to see. Itâs up to your mom on what happens. Weâre just spectators at this point.â Micah would have loved to meddle but if 13 years had passed by without anything, there was nothing else that she could do that would have helped. It was definitely out of her hands at this point. Micah looked over at Grace and said, âIâm not having kids. If anything, it showed me that I do not want that responsibility. Not right now, thanks.â Dean wasnât a bad kid. Not in the least bit, but Micah had agendas that she wanted to finish and having a kid made it very difficult to move the way she wanted.

âIâm twenty-six.â she stated flatly with a frown. âIâm practically four years away from dirty thirty.â Immortality truly did her wrong as she still looked like she was in her early twenties. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. âBut Mamaâs been like this forâŚA long timeâŚItâs a little concerning.â Rolling her eyes, she then gave Micah an obvious look and pointed out. âLike you said sheâs been chasing after Mommy Aura for 13 yearsâŚThey need some fucking action in their life.â Sighing, she shook her head in disappointment and muttered, âOkay fine, I noticed. I just wanted to soften the blow. Poor MamaâŚIâm still not giving up on hope. This will be her year.â She decided to move the topic onto her Aunt and asked, âAnyways, enough about Mama. How have you been?âÂ
âDidnât we just get over the fact youâre from an immortal lineage? Twenty-six is like a baby in terms of immortality,â Micah said and rose an eyebrow at her. She shook her head. Immortality was such a weird concept, even though Micahâs new deal had been renewed with Lilith. She looked at her and then shrugged, âWhatever they do is up to them. Iâm pretty sure plenty of people have been trying to play match-maker for them and nothing has happened.â She shrugged and rolled her eyes, âAt this point, you just need to let it go the way it goes.â Micah shrugged at the question about her. âBusy,â she said flatly, âBut, thatâs just the way it goes, honestly. Iâm glad Hunterâs back, I can give him back his son. I miss me time.â

âI have a spine.â She responded childishly. She wasnât really sure how to defend herself from Micahâs words. Maybe that was why Felicity had sent her over to this woman. âBy that logic, you consider yourself trouble then? I understand now why you and Kumari are in a complicated partnership.â Honor didnât know either of them very well, but she knew Felicity better because of work. Micah and Felicity seemed like very different people from each other, but the one thing that seemed to unite them was their blatant disregard for otherâs opinions or feelings. Some would call that brutal honesty. Honor still wasnât sure if they were just mean though. âArenât there better investments than Kumari?âÂ
Micah laughed and said, âIâve always known Iâm trouble. At least, I own up to what I am.â The woman had been done with hiding her truths. She would never shy away from who she is and who she would become. She looked at Honor and said, âNo, I donât think you understand why weâre in a complicated partnership since you donât really understand either of us.â She looked at Honor and said, âIf youâre going to try to understand people or relationships, you need to understand yourself first. Otherwise, youâre not a very reliable person to make judgement calls.â She looked at Honor, her eyebrow rose before they knitted together. Her eyes rolled as she shook her head and said, âPeople arenât stock, kid. If youâre asking me if there are better investments than Felicity, then how many people have asked that question in regards to you?â

âMy minion is just a kid⌠sheâs almost as bad as Rina when it comes to knowing how things work.â She embraced Micah and gently caressed her back. âSheâll get smarter, I promise.â Felicity gave her a grin in response to the pout. âIt wasnât reckless, I was just carrying on with business as usual⌠making sure that you werenât stuck in the commotion and stuff.â She didnât get reinstated into the Inner Sanctum ranks until after the dome went up, so during the chaos, she was running towards the danger to make sure that Micah was alright.Â
She wasnât immune to her own emotions, but she really didnât want to cry in front of Micah about how scared she had been. The bubble baths were on the last of her list of safe things to do when truly alone. If they hadnât worked in calming her down, whatever came next couldnât have been good. âI also promise to do my best to get back to you⌠It was hard not having my favorite girl around. I almost shed a tear.â She had. She cried like a little bitch in the shower. But she knew that crying would just make things worse for Micah, so she continued to smile.Â
"You and Gray both do that and I never understood it," Micah muttered, "We were all trained exactly the same. I'm not helpless." The secretary may have carried herself with a softer attitude than Felicity and the rest of their Special Forces team, but the fact of the matter was: she was trained in the same way they were. She shook her head quietly letting her thoughts fizzle away. These were not topics that she wanted to discuss, not during a reunion. She'd get over it and forgive it, the way she has always learned to forgive Felicity.
Micah looked at Felicity, her brows knitted in frustration before they softened and she let out a sigh. "I'm glad you're back though. Five years was a long time to be missing someone," Micah pointed. The world had easily moved on after Ceres Centropolis disappeared, but her heart had been in there. It was impossible to ever move on. "Don't promise to get back," she said, "Just promise to leave again."

Grace pursed her lips and maintained her furrowed brows. The way Micah put her motherâs emotional phase made perfect sense. As the Antichrist, she is considered a child in Hell âyearsâ and as both Immortals, they were certainly going through the phases of things. âSo this is only the beginning?!â exclaimed Grace with an exasperated tone. âAww man, this is gonna suck. In my timeline she was serious, but not thaaaat bad. Maybe she just needs to get laid.â The fact that Lilith went celibate for the sake of her mother took dedication and devotion. She hoped that Aurelia finally realizes that Lilith is her one and only. âAuntie Micah!â whined Grace as she flailed her arms around. âWhen you put it that way it sounds bad!!! THIS YEAR WILL BE THE YEAR! Iâm so sure of it! For now we should make her happy, find people who could make deals with her. Iâm sure that will add some satisfaction in her life.â
Micah raised a finely drawn eyebrow at the girlâs surprise before she let out a soft snicker. Her lips curled into a smile as she said, âWhy are you surprised? Youâre young. You know what itâs like to be dramatic and emotionally invested in everything.â Then she let out a laugh, âIâm surprised that youâre the one that brought your mom getting laid. I didnât think children wanted to know if their parents were getting it on the regular.â Micah grinned as she rose both of her eyebrows up and down suggestively. She looked at Graceâs reaction and said, âPutting it in what way? Iâm just telling you the honest truth. Iâm surprised you hadnât noticed.â Then again, Micah might have played stupid but sheâd been the mayorâs secretary and that required her to be more observant than most people. Especially during her term as the Antichristâs secretary.

Her sister was much more personable, confident, and more at home in her own skin. Honor was once told that to be inhuman and to be chosen for terrigenesis meant that sheâd find herself, but so far the blue mist only made her feel more disconnected from the world. She had given up on trying to integrate herself. Maybe where she was, distant from others, was where she belonged. âBecause I have a list of things to look for⌠I donât need to know youâŚâ Did she? She took a step back. Micah was too close. âI didnât think that helping Kumari would be this much trouble.â
Micah stared at Honor. She reminded her of herself, prior to her transformation; it's hard not to know the look of someone who wasn't too sure when you've been that person for the most of your formative years. She rose an eyebrow at Honor and shrugged, "You're working with Felicity, so you should start to get some backbone to you. Be a little more confident, Honor." Wavering gets people killed, but Micah didn't want to rub salt into any unseen wounds. The secretary reached up to brush her hair out of her way, throwing it over her shoulder as she smiled at Honor. "Sweetie, since you are working with Felicity, you should already know that trouble is headed your way."

She could tell people that her personality and tendency to trivialize hard situations were just defense mechanisms, but Felicity hated spelling those types of things out, especially when she had to hear herself admit it. She was stubborn about these truths and she was far too skilled in avoidance. Once Micah closed the door, she slid down more and held her head under the waterâs surface. She held her breath for as long as she could before she used her toes to unplug the tub. As soon as it was drained, she turned on the shower to finish up quickly.
Felicity gently pushed open the door, letting out the bathroomâs warm air and steam. âHey Micah.â She called out, quietly and then reached to grab her arm. She didnât want to talk about what happened in the dome, and she couldnât justify staying in the bath any longer when her girlfriend was just outside. So she turned Micah around and gave her a long kiss. Then she pulled away to get a good look at her before she smiled and planted more kisses on her face. âYeah, youâre definitely her. My minion had her doubts, but my girlâs back.â
There were a lot of things people could say Micah was, but Micah's true emotions? Those were hers and hers alone. She sat with her back against the door for a few moments before she pulled her knees to her chest. Although her make-up was always perfectly done, she didn't care that her tears would cause streaking. These weren't tears of sadness. No, Micah could never afford to let herself wallow in that emotion. These were tears of happiness. Five years of wondering and pretending that she knew that Felicity was alright and now, she felt these tears of relief and happiness finally release. Micah was caught by surprise when Felicity came out and reached for her arm.
It was hard to keep pouting when she finally felt Felicity's kisses again. Even with as many years that passed by, Felicity's kisses always felt like home to her. "Your minion is stupid," Micah muttered as she hugged Felicity, burying her face against her. She took a deep breath. "Also," she said as she pulled away for a moment and pouted, "Don't ever leave like that again. Every time you go off and do something reckless, I'm the one who has to wait for you and hope that you're not unable to come back." She pouted and quietly said, "The not-knowing part is the hardest, Felicity."

âIndeed I am.â replied Grace with a chuckle as she exhaled another drag. Furrowing her brows, she listened to Micah go on about her motherâs true purpose as mayor and sighed. She was right, the infrastructure was the least of their worries, but it was worth a try to get her mother back in business. âHeavy work that theyâll def suck at.â muttered the young woman with a frown. âUgh, fine. So she wonât go back to being the mayor, but sheâs like a teen in their emo phase for the past five years!!! It also doesnât help that sheâs heavily involved with the whole PTA thing! Itâs def a downgrade donât ya think?âÂ
Micah let a sly smirk come out at Graceâs retort before she shook her head. There were very few people who wanted to take the reigns of mayor, especially after the dome. The secretary would just have to wait and see who decided to step into the position. She rolled her eyes at Grace, âYour mother is the Antichrist. Technically, in regards to how long Hellâs been here, sheâs a teenager. So, like all E-girls of the world, Iâm sure her emo-phase is just about to kick into full gear.â Micah shrugged, âCanât blame her though. Sheâs what we call a âtara-chanâ - lingering after someone that hasnât budged in ...hmm, eight years was before the dome. Add five years. So, thirteen years now.â It was cute at first, but now, she just felt sorry for her friend.

Felicity moved her legs in the water. She wasnât sure if anyone else did the same, but she loved the way the water moved around her and small things like these distracted her enough to avoid thinking about harder things. She slid down and closed her eyes. She didnât know anything about how a bubble bath could soothe her muscles, but she felt like it was doing her job. If she had just remembered to put on some music then maybe she would have just taken a nap. Itâs not like the water could kill her anymore.Â
She opened an eye to see who had cracked open the door and was pleasantly surprised to see Micah. âOk, you look mad⌠Shit, whatâs going on?â She couldnât keep herself from smiling at her girlfriend though. Felicity knew that Micah would have found a way to get back home and well, here she was. âYou know, if you hadnât just told me about the dome, I would be out there, all clean and ready for you⌠But now you have to deal with your soaking girlfriend.â
There were plenty of things Micah wanted to say to Felicity. Sheâd tried to plan it out so she wouldnât be so nervous when the Dome finally came down but Micah stared at Felicity in the bath. She took a deep breath before she shook her head, âYou know, youâre awful.â The woman loved her girlfriend with every fiber of her body, but Felicity always had to make a joke about everything. She shook her head at her and sighed, âThatâs fine. You take your bath.â With that, Micah recoiled from where she stood and shut the door behind her.
She wasnât mad, despite the look on her face. When she shut the door, she leaned her back against the door and closed her eyes and let out a breath of relief. Quietly, she brought her hand to her eyes and rubbed the tears out of them. Felicity was safe and that was all that mattered.

Honor couldnât tell if Micah was being nice to her or just making fun of her. Maybe she was doing both, but she wasnât sure. She never really spent much time with Micah and had only just started working more closely with Agent Kumari. âI know my chances against them.â She explained. ââŚWhy are you giving me advice? What happened to your worry about the pothole?â Even though she didnât really think Micah was a good person, she was interested in learning about who she was. Kumari loved this person and Honor had grown to become protective of her. âIâm making sure that you arenât a body snatcher or something bad.â
âBecause you have this pitiful look in your eyes, like youâre a kicked puppy,â Micah said matter-of-factly. âYour eyes,â she said, stepping forward to peer into Honorâs eyes, âTheyâre very pretty but theyâre so distant.â For all the things that people have said about Micah, they usually missed who she was. She shrugged at Honor and then started to laugh at the younger woman. âHow can you even be sure if Iâm body snatcher or not, when you donât even know who I am?â Micah started to laugh and shook her head, âYou have these special abilities but somehow, youâre not very perceptive.â
